Hi there! I'm venturing over from Aug17. I'm currently 10w4d with twins. My babes were a product of IUI. As part of the normal protocol, I was placed on progesterone suppositories and estridol. Both of which I stopped this week, pursuant to RE instructions. I started spotting yesterday, kind of a watery pink color. It was light (in amount) in my opinion. Well, I freaked out. I thought I messed up on the date of stopping the progesterone. So I did one last night. No spotting for about 12 hours. Got up and had spotting, more of the same. Called the office in a panic. They tell me not to worry. It could be the bleed they saw on the U/S two weeks ago. Or progesterone stoppage, or nothing. 2 weeks ago, we did see HBs. Baby A at 167 and Baby B at 171.
Anyone deal with this with a bleed or after the stoppage of progesterone, or both?
I had success with IVF so it might be different, but the only time I have had spotting after progesterone is when I had a SCH. Is that the kind of bleed they saw?

They didn't use the term SCH specifically, but they described it as some internal bleeding in my uterus. So, after googling stuff, I've gathered it's the same thing. They also saw it on the first U/S and believed it was possibly a 3rd. However, nothing ever developed. So it was either a 3rd that didn't make it, or the SCH, which is what they have basically determined at this point.
I see my OBGYN on Wednesday (1st appointment), so I'll have another U/S, but that seems SO far away!!!

The suppositories could cause irritation to your cervix which could also be a cause for the bleeding. Can you call your OB on Monday morning to see if you can move the appointment up so you can have some reassurance a little sooner than Wednesday?
Spotting is unfortunately pretty common and there can be so many different causes. I was spotting from about 6w-7w and it's definitely a stressful situation. There is a spotting poll that we did here a while back, if you search "spotting poll" or something like that you should find it. Reading through that and reading the mantras in the welcome sticky really helped me when I was stressing.

I started weaning from my PIO shots at 10w (doing shots every other day). On 10w5d, I had spotting. This was the first spotting I had in 3 or 4 weeks and freaked out.
I called my OB who, based on my loss history, had me go in for an u/s and a progesterone draw. Everything looked fine and we are not sure if the spotting is from the progesterone weaning or not. They had me stay on the same weaning schedule.
I would call your OB to see if they want you in earlier. (I'm assuming it was the RE you called).

I started spotting immediately after coming off progesterone at 10 weeks. My OB let me stay on them until 13 weeks, mostly for my own sanity cause I don't think I needed it anymore. Stopped spotting when I was back on and after first trimester, no more spotting. Good luck! I'm sure you are experiencing something similar.

My RE had me stop at 9 weeks. Both times I started bleeding about a week after but when I went in everything was fine and there was no visible cause for the bleeding. Earlier on in my pregnancy with DD I had more bleeding and that was an SCH. They told me that I may experience more bleeding or that it might reabsorb. They said either way, it was fine unless I had cramping. Mine ended up reabsorbing
I had an SCH early on and it caused me to bleed heavily, including clots, twice. It was terrifying but all my ultrasounds showed baby completely unaware and growing. It eventually reabsorbed.
