kristhegirl I prefer Gatorade to pedialyte. I mix it with water and offer small drinks. Follow her lead when she's ready to eat. We lived in carbs for days last week. Hope she's better soon and you don't get it. Stomach bugs while pregnant are extra not fun.
JR is still a snot monster, but happy as a clam. She woke up at 6 this morning singing, "Mommy Daddy Puppy Baby (her new doll)," over and over. H left this morning and gets back Thursday night so I'm solo this week and am hoping that JR is on the up and up. DNW to have to take a day off work while H is out of town.
Had a lot of fun hanging out with @officedronette at her Super Bowl gathering last night! JR and L played nicely and it was cute and at the end of the night JR gave L a big hug (after I asked her to, but still)!
That's kind of you to say - L was definitely struggling with so many friends playing with her toys. That was her first group play date in her space, and she's so used to giving her friend a toy to play with vs. having everyone choose their own. (Shocking, my daughter likes to be in control - I have no idea where that trait comes from.)
This morning when she was playing with her stroller I said "You were sad and angry when your friends wanted to play with your stroller last night, weren't you? It was hard for you when other people played with your toys." And she looked at me like "Lady, you have NO idea" and clutched her stroller in case I was planning on making any moves.
I had a blast though. I think she did too once she relaxed.
JR has the sweetest little voice. I it. I can confirm she has lengthy conversations with her daycare friend on the phone, and does not fill Mom or Dad in on what they discuss.

She is suddenly ravenous so she's eating crackers and berries. I'm doling it out very slowly but I'm so glad she's eating.
I really, really don't want to get sick. Obviously.

Aww kristhegirl - hope she feels better soon. We always try to do BRAT when we have the pukies.
I think we got the best dog ever. She is seriously amazing (and housebroken) and does so so well with the kids. We got so lucky and love her so much already.
Work has been crazy already this morning. One of my faculty members decided this morning he was going to submit a large grant that is due to the NIH at 5:00 today. :/ Lucky me. He should be thankful I'm quick and competent. 😉
Meanwhile there is someone clipping their nails in the office adjacent to me. Eww eww eww. Do that at home!

a) That pic melts my heart! I'm so glad things are going well with the new doggy!
b) I once went out to eat with some co-workers after a training, and one other teacher pulled out her nail clippers and started clipping her nails at the table at the restaurant. I was so grossed out. Who does that?!
The coworker who sits in the cubicle on the other side of mine (in another bay - I can't see him) keeps on letting out super rank farts. I have gagged a few times and am about ready to go confront him. I feel bad for the people that are in the same bay as him. I just can't figure out how to do it nicely, or if I even want to confront him nicely about it.
Oh Jesus. Is this an every day type of occurrence for him or maybe post super bowl food revenge from his stomach?
5/10 people in my office are sick. 2 left this morning with the stomach bug, 1 is still here with a gross cough even though he should be home. Lord help me!
@katechristine18 , It happens about every couple of weeks. This time is by far the worst. I'm trying to chalk it up to "super bowl food revenge" as you call it. I just don't understand how he doesn't seem to be embarrassed about it. I'm still trying to be nice. Hopefully it will pass soon (preferably not in the cubicle).
It would be kind of funny to leave some sort of gas controlling medicine at his desk when he wasn't around. Like Beano or Gas-X. Lol. That seems pretty passive aggressive but maybe he really needs it?!? It sure sounds like it.
Also, to complain a little more, omg would my period please get here??? I'm not pregnant, I've had all my PMS symptoms for days, and nothing. I'd rather not be bleeding my guts out while also trying to coordinate the move in. Maybe all the J15 lady hormones at the Philly meet up disrupted mine and we are all going to be on the same cycle?
Omg I was just thinking the same thing!! I think you, me, Tracey and Office are all due within the next few days, so Im sure we threw each other off somehow

I will be cursing you all when I'm binge eating potato chip and chocolate chip cookie sandwiches and crying while drinking wine and watching this is us tonight. And yes, I am such a basic PMSer
Currently snacking on Cheez its, pretzels and TJs mini pb cups...at the same time.

Hm. This is me, except older episodes of Grey's Anatomy. Also basic.
It took 18 months, but I have my first sad puking sick kid.
She threw up Saturday morning, but it was not much and she acted fine all weekend except for not being very hungry. This morning she puked quite a bit and has been just sitting on me like this since waking up 40 minutes ago
Which is completely unlike her. We have nothing in the house I can even really give her, she's never been sick besides a cold! Ugh. My poor sweet girl. Looks like it's snuggle day for us.
What should I tell my husband to pick up from the store on his way home for lunch? Pedialyte, BRAT diet items... what else? She's not running a fever.
Popsicles!! A started refusing pedialyte, so we let her have some popsicles to stay hydrated.

I am feeling the same feelings. Pee sticks are negative, period should just show up already so we can move on and I can really drink my feelings for a moment.
I also have many many GF funfetti cupcakes at home. I will eat many of them this evening.

CVS brand has "pedialyte" popsicles! JR is a big fan.
I'm heading downtown to FINALLY get my baby's birth certificate. We have to travel to Toronto in a week or so for a funeral. Otherwise she might be 2 before I had the damn thing
I did! I was thinking I would order them for Easter baskets!
I saw someone on a blog chop them with a egg cutter and have a bunch of flat circles and do fractions by cutting the circles up. I am stupidly excited!
Do your girls watch the YouTube channel where the person just cuts into different toys to see what is in side? This is a current favorite in our house. Why have I not thought if something so silly.

@wafflesfriendswork period or not, we better still be on for our playdate at Disney Springs next week or I may actually combust from disappointment and despair

No. No they dont. Please keep this sorcery away from us.
But seriously is it cool?
I love watching it. I am always anxious to see what is inside the toys she cuts open.
