Sending hugs, mrspiatt. Be sure to do some nice things for yourself during this rough time.
And regarding the job, maybe start to think more broadly of skills and experience that you have from banking/ mortgages, and how they might translate to another industry. If there's an area you are interested in, definitely go on informational interviews. Get a coffee with someone in the field who can advise you about what additional skill sets you might need, or how to phrase things on your resume. You're a smart woman— you've got this!
mrspiatt sorry for the tough decision, but good luck with the job search. Bug hugs during this difficult time. +1 to doing something nice for yourself, and remember to be kind to yourself during this. Surround yourself with positive, supportive people.

ampaints, layloo08, thanks ladies for doing pinterest searches for valentine's ideas! I will probably steal one of them (even though M doesn't go to the sitter on Tuesday, and even when he does, there are not that many kids there, but I am TOTALLY "that mom").

@janetheconquerer, sorry for the illness again. I stayed home yesterday because of a very full, stuffy head and lots of sneezing. I hate taking pills, but could only function today with cold and sinus medication. Starting to feel better, but would just love a full day in bed!

Super busy over here with work and fighting a head cold now. We are signing the final paperwork for the new house build tomorrow. I'm excited and nervous! And TBH rather annoyed that now the closing has been moved back 2 months already (something to do with sewer system or some crap...pun intended...lol). So now we won't be closing until the end of January next year. Which makes me angry at the thought of moving in the dead of winter, plus trying to convince someone else to buy our house and also move in the dead of winter. Sigh. Problems to consider in the fall. I am still working on how to post a picture of the new floor plan.

DD1 got a musical Frozen castle for her birthday that plays a snippet of Let It Go. So now Abigail has been walking through the house singing her version, "Go... Go...." to the same tune, over and over and over. It's so stinking cute.
mrspiatt I'm sorry about your and your H. I hope this decision allows you both to move forward and find peace. Finding a job may be scary but it is also a great opportunity for you to try out new fields and find something you enjoy more than what you were doing before. And remember, whatever job you get now doesn't have to be your forever job. Just getting back into the work force is a big step. Good luck!
@mrspanpan White, Black and Red are on my "no-buy" list. I mean, if it was my only available option, that would be one thing. :-) I just hate the thought of keeping white or black vehicles looking clean on the outside and I've never had luck with red cars. :-) All shades of grey are good though!
K woke up around 2 and came over to our bed. At 3 I gave up on going back to sleep. Told H I was putting the body pillow on my side of the bed and going to work. Yay for working from home! Not sure if they will have daycare/work today or not. As of 645 last night, daycare was already delaying opening until 930.
I need to remember to send a message to my salesman or my FIL because I think I left my jumper cables in the under floor storage of the old vehicle. Glad the dealership is 5 miles from the house and my FIL works there. :-)
Fx I actually get moved to my desk today. We've been training in a conference room and I'm so ready to have my own space. Although they didn't get the three people who were supposed to move done yesterday. I'm hoping maybe they just moved all of us last night/this morning. I need my personal space at work.
Have not spoken to H since 6pm yesterday. He let his road rage show yesterday over something very minimal and he knows I have severe anxiety about being in a car. When I was saying "Whoa!" and "OMG" over his stupidness he yelled at me to relax ... Isn't that in the "What not to ever say to a woman" handbook?
He's had plenty of opportunities to apologize .. He's even awake right now laying next to me in bed but I'm not interested in anything he has to say. I can give the silent treatment and cold shoulder like it's my job.
In the mean time, A has woken up screaming at least twice. She's gotten herself back to sleep but it was enough to wake me up. Then one of my dogs was having a dream and was like gasping for air so I had to get up then too. Plus 2 trips to the bathroom and woke up at 530 when my alarm is set for 6:45.. I'd like a do-over on the last 12 hours please!
The other girl that I babysit will be here today .. She's usually quite entertaining. We've gotten a bunch of snow by the looks of it so we probably won't be venturing out anywhere
I'm so freaking sore from barre class yesterday. Between sore muscles and the wind/rain last night, I was probably up every hour. Excuse me while I fall asleep at my desk.
zonagirl , you eventually figure it out. I now use paper plates, fix supper easy dinners, prep the night before, shower at night and consume lots of wine.
But we have our routine and it works. It's hard and exhausting but we survive.
+1 to all this. My husband misses dinners and bath time 7 days in a row every other week, and misses bedtime about 60% of the time. We do a lot of "picnic" dinners on a blanket in the living room so we can do finger foods on paper plates for easy clean up.
And wine after an evening shower is a great way to relax
