Weird wwyd: earlier today LO banged her nose on a toy hard and it dislodged a giant booger (like seriously massive and I had no idea it was in there) and either the bang or the booger caused a slight nose bleed. She is fine now but I can see dried blood inside her nostril. So do I clean it out? If so, how?

I'd leave it be. I wouldn't know how to get it without irritating her nose more and I doubt it will hurt her.
W just walked with his VTech walker!!! It's the first time he's ever showed an interest in doing it!!! He was totally cheesing it up for the camera too.
A couple times I've set J in the grass next to the driveway because I've had to fix something on her car seat before putting her jnto it. She's gotten this look on her face like "what is this pointy stuff poking my legs?" and tries to lift her legs off it! It's hilarious! I guess we should go outside more....

Hiiii everyone. I come to you from the land of reflux hell. Apparently being sick with pneumonia/bronchiolitis followed by an ear infection (after getting tubes in - so gross) caused a flare-up in the reflux department. At least, that's what we think it is. Increased his prescription dose and are backing off of some foods in hopes of it helping.

How is her nose? I would be too afraid to clean it out.

I would leave it, but if you really want to clean it then maybe use a little saline spray.
Lots of running around and doctor appointments this week. DD (my 2 year old) has something called nursemaid's elbow but they thought she might have a fracture so they sent us for x-rays and to the orthopedist. Anyway, apparently toddlers often get this from being swung around or pulled by the arms so we'll have to be more careful when we play with her. It happened when our babysitter pulled her up the slide by her arms.
J is doing relatively well today. It's pretty obvious he doesn't feel well, but he is glad to be home. We go to his pcp Friday to see if we can d/c the oxygen.

I didn't clean it out. H looked at me like I was insane when I suggested cleaning it with a qtip. She kinda dunks her face in the bath though so it got a little cleaned out and then I put aquafor in it before bed and today you can't even tell.

This happened on my watch to my best friend's daughter when she was almost 2. I seriously barely touched her to steady her when she stumbled. She was hysterical until they popped it back in and then she was immediately fine again. Apparently it's super common because a lot of the elbow is cartilage and very loose according to what they told us.

I guess it's pretty common. I had never heard of it! Hers didn't pop back on it's own. The poor thing had her arm just hanging by her side all day.

I've heard of this as being very common too. Also once it happens it's much easier to happen again. DH has a favourite restaurant and the owners little boy (2y) comes to work with them. He told us the one day at work he was running around the restaurant and fell and popped his arm out. No one was even holding his arms in that case. But it is why you aren't supposed to swing them by their arms or pick them up by their hands (which I'll admit we're bad for doing with dd1 when she was younger)

We had to take my friend's daughter to the ER. It didn't pop back in on its own either. I hope your DD is doing ok now!

We are too. She loves doing "1, 2, 3, swing" when we walk through parking lots, but we won't do it anymore.

I learned about nursemaids elbow in school. The ligament holding the ulna in is a round loop so its super easy to slip it out of place. It's extraordinarily common so don't feel bad if it happens to your kid.

We moved into our house on Monday! It is such a wonderful neighborhood. Everyone has been so welcoming, and there are tons of kids (probably since these are all 3 or 4 bedroom houses for naval officers, so you're required to have a certain number of dependents.)
It's a wreck around here, but I'm trying to spend K's naps organizing and unpacking boxes. Slowly, but surely.... I'm ready to be more settled. We have some things to get rid of and sell. H is letting me pick out some new furniture though, so I'm excited to make the house look nice. Bring on all the pretty things!

That's so great! It has to be nice to be out of a hotel. How's your 4 year old doing? Did he get an aid?

He is doing much better, thanks! He's got the routine down better at school. Today was an off day, and I'm not sure why, but hopefully we can move on tomorrow. We don't have an aide yet, but I'm meeting with someone else from the school next week that might give me some more info on that. Monday he's having his intake done for ABA services to begin here, so things are coming together. It'll be nice to have the ABA after school again to get him back on track.
The stickers for the oxygen cannula took J's skin with them. He has two bright red spots on his cheeks now. I hope we don't have to put them back on.
It seems silly to complain since J has been sick, but yeah, I feel awful. I should probably go to the doctor, but I would have to take him with me and I'm not exposing him to anything else. This is where it would be nice to have family close by.
