Nerd confession: I am a lit major and I am meh about Shakespeare.
I was an English major in college but also was a major theater geek. I feel like my love of Shakespeare is more tied to the part of me that loves theater than the part of me who loves literature.
Reading plays sucks. Watching or being party of plays is awesome.
Also probably a big part of why a lot of people who read HP & the Cursed Child hated it but the play got amazing reviews.
Bleh. Parking lots are awful after the snow and... Why the fuck do people not clear all the snow off their damn cars after a storm? Driving after a snowstorm 101: clean off all the damn snow so it doesn't fly off onto other cars. Idiots
I almost lost it on this idiot last night because he only cleared enough so he could see out his windshield. He was doing 35 on the on ramp at 24....i was screaming.
Geez, and the ramps were still awful this morning! Idiot
Funny (kinda) story, my grandfather once got pushed off the road in a snowstorm from a woman who cleaned off only enough of the windshield to see out the driver's half.. my grandfather chats on the radio with truck drivers all the time. Two of them saw what happened and a mile down the road, she ended up off the road... 😅😂

I read it but didn't care for it. I also have a copy of the screenplay for fantastic beasts but haven't opened it yet

Oh jeez! What karma.
My FIL was in an accident yesterday because of other people's stupidity on the highway by you. The person that caused the accident took off. I'm really hoping there was some karma there too.

I did enjoy reading some plays though. Like the Crucible and the importance of being Ernest.

juliayadda, I generally enjoy reading plays, but not nearly as much as watching them. I confess that I've tried to read Hamlet multiple times and have never gotten through it, but I've seen it.
It's a whole different kind of reading, though, and requires a different kind of imagination- I always imagine the characters on a stage due to the stage directions and am still able to immerse myself in the story, but I understand people who are not a fan of live theater or read differently than I do might enjoy reading plays a lot less.

It has been a quiet week at work here. It's allowed me to do a lot of TCFing, haha. I shouldn't get too used to this or it'll be really rough when things pick up again.
FFFC: I may have sanitized a paper clip and tried to see if my naval was still pierced (I haven't worn a ring since half way through my pregnancy with DS1). I plead the 5th on if this actually happened

I pierced mine 11 years ago but was allergic to the titanium... so I let it close after it go horribly infected. Now one of my earring holes has grown over too! I have to get my ears repierced at 33 years old...
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!
I finally had to take mine out last week. Not having it is freaking me out.
My distasis never closed and I have a hernia as a result so I never put it back in. I'm determined to close it after this one gets here so I'm hoping to be able to wear one again

I have tv on in background at home and they cut in to show Japanese PM and it's translated by a woman, which is just kind of funny anyway...but also...the translation is pretty terrible. I'm sure it's hard to translate like that on the fly but it is nearly impossible to follow.

The way piercings decide to close over is weird! I've felt weird without the naval ring but the hernia made it almost impossible to wear one (I have my lower naval pierced, not the traditional location)
I have two holes per ear- one was done as an infant, one at 19. I've gone years without the infant ones closing but the ones done at 19 like to close after a couple months 😒
My navel has been pierced since I was 18 (day of my birthday a friend goes "you're 18, you should pierce something!), and I've had my nose ring since June with no trouble. But my ears give me constant trouble, I've had so many get infected. I can wear certain earrings in my original holes, but not for very long.

I had to take out my navel ring this pregnancy too. I wore it all the way until I was in labor & delivery with my first. But something about this time my body hates piercings. Even my ears go crazy if I try to wear earrings right now.

I am shuddering so hard at this.
I've had mine out for many years but the hole is still very much there, which annoys me a lot.

That sounds similar to how I got mine done. My aunts didn't tell me where we were going until we got there and were all "she's here to get her belly button pierced!"
Disclaimer: they knew I wanted it done. I had been talking about it for years but just never went and had it done
