It snowed a lot last night, so we're having a lazy day at home today. I'll have to go out and shovel when the kids are down for their naps. I wanted to get groceries today, but I guess I can wait until either tomorrow, or maybe this evening after H gets home from work. That way I can go alone lol
rivers and roads maybe he feels like you do? Body aches and stuff? Any chance he's fighting a virus? I agree with trtlcrzy that a call to pedi might be a good idea. How's his solid intake? I'm sorry this is stressful! ETA this was from yesterday's thread but my brain was still thinking of it...
Morning! We are having a heat wave! It's supposed to be like 50 degrees today so after nap we will be spending time outside. We may even go walk around the zoo. I woke up with cramps this morning. My period isn't supposed to start for at least 4 more days so I hope this doesn't persist that long.
Morning! We are also having a heat wave, but not as good as you trtlcrzy but it is 36 degrees here right now. It's supposed to hang out in the 30's for a little while I think, which is great!!
We are getting ready for pictures. Well basically all ready but I'm waiting for the kids to get dressed until we are ready to walk out the door, which isn't for almost an hour. I need to run to get this balloon filled at 9 when the place opens and then we'll leave for pictures. We have to drive 30 miles and H is going separate because he can only give us 1 hour and he has to go do some work stuff. My Amazon balloons came yesterday and are totally different colored than what was shown (of course) so I think if this ivory/yellow balloon doesn't look good blown up then we'll have no balloon. FX!
Other than that we are baking cupcakes and cleaning today. We also had a good nights rest so hopefully we'll be good and productive today! I'm worried about DD's afternoon nap though, since she'll likely sleep in the car close to lunch time on the way home from pictures, I'm afraid it'll be enough of a cat nap that she won't be tired enough to go down for her real nap. We'll see.

I feel like this work week has lasted foooorrreeeevvvveeerrrrr. Super excited for the weekend as we have SS's taekwondo belt graduation and a baby shower to attend. Hopefully lots of cleaning and party prep will happen, too. I'm also a slacker and have forgotten to take L's 11 month photo, so I need to do that asap since she'll be turning one next week, haha.
I need some new music for my ipod to play in the car. I'm getting bored of my playlist. I actually have a free 2 month trial for SiriusXM, but I find I keep switching between 80's, 90's and Pop2K (2000-2009 tunes) so I still don't know any new music lol
I think I'm turning into my dad. He only listens to 60's, 70's and 80's lol
Just finishing up breakfast here and we are going to try to make it to story time in a half hour. I am still in my pjs so we'll see how this goes, lol. Kid is back to hard poops this morning, so prunes will be on the lunch menu.

I hope everyone is cooperative for pictures and the balloon surprises you, chocolate.
Today is the last day my baby is a "baby". A few of us, actually! I'm picking up my mom from the airport this morning, so trying to clean the house a bit now. It's kind of pointless when you're followed around by a tiny human destructor, though.
I am finding shredded cheese EVERYWHERE. How? He eats in a contained space.

Thanks It's totally probable that he has what I have and feels like crap. He's not as voracious an eater as he usually is this week. He usually clears his tray, now it's more of a slow process and doesn't finish. We have our 1year spot Tuesday but I'll call and see what they say.

DD has an appt today for shots so we're going to town early to get some things for her party tomorrow. My mom is going with and going to buy her a new pair of tennis shoes. She buys each kid their first pair, but I bought DDs first because I was sick of waiting on mom. My sister is throwing a fit because she thinks it should be considered DDs bday present. Why she cares? Who knows, she's a spoiled brat, always has been. My mom has bought her children many many pairs so whatever. DH says just to buy them myself and face it that my mom cares about sisters kids more, thats his thoughts. I have to clean when I get home.
DS woke up puking but I think it's because he fell asleep at like 4pm yesterday and slept until 7 this morning so hopefully it was so hungry. He's eating drinking and acting fine now so maybe just a fluke.
A bottle with real milk has been missing in my house for a week now. I remember seeing it last Friday and it was basically empty and asked DS to move it because I was vacuuming. Lord knows where it went so hopefully we find it and dispose of it before it gets bad. I think about it everyday and look places I think it may be hiding but nope.

rivers and roads, I find shredded cheese all over the place too. It's like it is raining cheese in my house. Also it is in her diaper sometimes. (As in deposited directly there, not running through the system).

mrssmith613, that's so strange about your sister and the shoes. Why does she care?! Families are weird for sure (mine included). I wouldn't buy them myself, especially since you have plans today to get them together.
I hope you find the bottle. Sour milk will at least help you trace the smell faster, maybe? Gag.

Yes. Belly buttons. Ears. The lip of the diaper. It's almost like a game.

Same here. I love pulling the tray off her high chair and seeing how much food she has managed to drop in her lap. And then digging the food out that somehow got shoved under the belly rolls. Lately she's been getting puffs stuck to her butt/pants so the fall off as we walk from the dining room upstairs to her room like we're leaving a breadcrumb trail.
mrssmith613 I hope you find that bottle soon. I am pretty OCD about knowing where all sippy cups are but one time H got one past me and when I finally discovered it, in the trash it went.

Yeah, trust me it won't even be opened when we do find it. We've never lost a bottle before but have had one bad experience with a sippy cup so since then they have to stay on the counter.
Has anyone seen the tight pants song Jimmy Fallon does on his show? "I got my tight pants.. I got my tight pants on.."
After meals, we sing this based on whatever food is stuck to his pants. "I got my cheese pants.. I got my cheese pants on.." Beef pants.. Puff pants.. Pancake pants...

Hurray Friday! I had a hard time dragging myself out of bed this morning, and apparently so did a fit- throwing DS, who, for some unexplicable reason, required a flashlight (not to turn on, mind) to start his morning. Holy weird tantrum. DD's tantrums are adorable in contrast (when she's not giving herself bloody noses from bashing her own head on the floor that is).
My family is frustratingly uninvolved. My folks are in CO for the month, so are missing DD's birthday. My brother and my nearby aunt hadn't responded to the invite so I sent a reminder. At least my aunt now has said she's OOT for the weekend (and you couldn't have responded sooner?). And my brother is still unresponsive. I doubt he'll come since it's an 8 hour drive though.
Might not sound too bad, but it's a chronic issue of not making an effort to stay engaged/involved. MH says it's remarkable I've turned out so normal considering. Apparently I needed a bit of a rant.
Thank goodness I married into a wonderful family who cares a ton. It makes up for a lot of it.

Holy crap. I just spent almost 2 hours outside shoveling. H got off work early.. like got home right as I was finishing lol. And he tells me that we're supposed to get a whole lot more snow over the next week. Like 65 cm (~25in) I guess winter is finally here.

We got about .25 inches yesterday. My snow quota for the winter is full.
