How's everybody doing this weekend?
We've been having internet issues so we had the Internet company out bright and early this morning. For the third time in three weeks. Please God be fixed this time.
Now L is napping while we get ready for SS's taekwondo graduation. Need to do lots of cleaning and shopping for L's birthday party today. And pick up a gift for a baby shower we're attending tomorrow.
Good morning! Holy birth-day batman! DH let me sleep in till 9. Now I'm nursing S and will put her down for a nap shortly. I don't know what the deal is the last couple days but I am sneezing like crazy. I'm thinking maybe it's something to do with my room because it's usually right away in the morning. After S's nap I'm going to vacuum in there. Today we are working on more basement painting. This has been a very slow project. This afternoon we are taking H for her first haircut. I haven't exactly decided what I want to do yet but hopefully the stylist has some good input on her hair issues.

Morning! So many birthdays!
Good luck with the painting, and haircut, trtlcrzy. Enjoy the graduation, piperhalliwell!
X needs a haircut but I can't decide between just trimming the mullet ourselves or going somewhere to get a style. Styled hair makes them look so much older!
My dad missed his flight this morning because of course he did. So now I have to spend 2 hours in the middle of the day driving to pick him up, whenever he ends up getting here. Fortunately/unfortunately, X is sick so we can't go to the fun indoor play place we were planning on anyways, so no real plans now. Boo sick birthday baby.
...My mom still says my son's name wrong 50% off the time.
What does she call him? That's so weird. Also re haircut: unless you have hair cutting experience I would take him to a stylist. I've heard a lot of home haircut horror stories.
Apparently I hit post too soon. rivers and roads did you ever talk to the dr yesterday? I hope he still has a fun day despite not feeling well. Tell your dad to take a lyft or taxi to your house.
Babe had a bath and is now napping.. he should get about an hour in before we have to wake him to eat a quick lunch and head out. I'm just planning to change him there. I'm showered and have makeup on, clothes ready, curlers in my hair. My husband has.... um... finished his morning poop? He just better be showered and ready by the time we have to leave. I don't have time to worry about him.
My mom is always trying to correct me on saying DD's middle name. It's Barbara. My grandmother's name. Like I know my own Grandmother's and Daughter's name. Geez lol
I needed to get wipes today. We drove up to Costco, I took one drive around the parking lot then left. It was completely packed. No way was I going in that zoo for 1 item. I'll try again tomorrow, we still have full packages of wipes upstairs and downstairs.
Since we postponed Lu's party, we just had one of my best friends and her family over for brunch and cupcakes. She was actually the one I called to come watch C when I thought I might be in labor. She got here today at exactly the same time she got to my house exactly a year ago. All the mama feels today 😭 Food was delicious, L had her first cupcake (pic in FB thread) and now we get to relax for the night. Actually was more enjoyable than our original party plan
Pictures went as well as I suppose they would with a one year old. 50% of the pictures are straight faced "I will not smile even if you are making ridiculous noises" because, toddler. 40% are him having a snack to try to make him happy. And 10% are actually smiling. We also have lots of pictures of him running away or clawing to get away from us. But I'm sure she got some cute ones, we'll just have to wait and see.

We had swim class this morning and I did groceries while he napped, to come home and discovered he was still awake, so late nap for him. I laid down too from exhaustion after a rough night. Then the kid turned into a real asshole and was throwing tantrums and inconsolable for a while. Advil, antibiotics and nursing finally calmed him and he's in bed singing to himself now. Dh is playing a video game and I'm happy to be alone because mommy needs a fucking time out.

I believe that's the female way of spelling it. That's my friend's mom's name.
This is what I think too but I'm always corrected that it's how men used to spell it. Whatever, MIL.
I don't care if you put the Y in the middle... (but don't) because he's your kid and GDI people need to spell his name how you do. Even (especially) MILs. And that's totally the female spelling.

We finally decided to go to the pool today. I called ahead to check the times for open swim. I got all of our suits and towels packed up. Then we drove almost 30 minutes to get to the pool. We got there and was told the pool had to be closed today, last minute, due to 'lifeguard problems.' I don't think we will try to go back to that pool.
I got a random fb message at midnight last night.. from my ex. My ex who I left 5 months before our scheduled wedding. And then promptly met my now husband.
He said "glad to see you are happy, hope all is well." Um....
I responded just to be nice, saying thanks, hope you are well too. He then proceeded to tell me he's getting divorced but is going back to school and doing well.

Um... sorry?
It was so weird. I left the conversation at that.
Huh, what a weirdo. Someone was trying to find a hook up now that he's single.

Nothing screams "hot and looking for a good time" quite like the married mother of a 1 year old....

Dh decided to stay up late playing video games with a few friends and beers. Luckily Ryan only woke up once last night (normal) so I'm letting him sleep in a bit (do I Win wife of the year?) Today, i need to run a few small errands while Magoo naps, and get my bags and clothes ready for tomorrow. I'm going to have to turn into a major night before prepper. I was always a quasi one anyways, but like now I'll need to be full on so basically all I have to do is get dressed and put on makeup.

Got an email this morning that Gymboree was having a huge sale. Since C outgrew his boots overnight (literally) I decided to go early on a whim. They had one pair of boots. In his size. And I got them for $5.50 (marked down from $47!) Score!! Now just home and chores before we get another foot of snow today....
There's a blizzard coming tomorrow. Upwards of 35 cm. So I did my Costco run today. Both kids decided to fight going into the cart, and both threw their hats and mittens on the floor. Ugh.
Plus this morning I told DD that she couldn't have a yogurt drink until she ate all her breakfast. What does she do? Dumps the cereal all over the table and herself. Sorry kid, doesn't work that way lol.
