Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! When I got DS out of his crib this morning, he gave me a big smile and said, "Hi, sweet mommy!" Oh, hey, heart. Whatcha doin' in a puddle there on the floor?
Anyone have fun plans? We don't do much but we always make the same meal--steak, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts. I got H some really nice beer that he loves and I picked out some 65% off earrings for myself because I needed some everyday ones.
We ended up celebrating last night instead. Ordered some food (bacon, feta, and kale stuffed chicken, yum!), but we did eat with the toddler so not very romantic. Beer is a great idea, maybe I'll pick up some for my H after work too!
I guess it's weird that mine get put into my portal 2-5 hours after draw? I couldn't deal with waiting like some of you have to!
Oh my gosh, that's awesome! I just call incessantly & apologize profusely for my PgAL brain. Our portal doesn't update for a WEEK to give the doctor time to discuss results with you.
Holy hell, I could NEVER. A week??! That seems excessive.
Add me to the group of sleeping like crap. UGH. I also pee 3 times a night these days it seems.
Today I got a call from my doctor's office that asked if I could come in tomorrow for my U/S vs Monday. WOO HOO! I am so excited. We are flying home to visit family for a quick weekend trip and were going to tell family in person since we didn't know when we will make it back again. Relieved to be able to see the baby and have an appointment beforehand. I cannot wait!
I got my betas taken yesterday & I've already called my dr's office this morning. Not in yet, the nurse said, "Probably around 3." I said, "I'll call you at lunch."

I have been waking up around 3 the last several days. I'm also already having very intense dreams. Blah!
Am I the only one feeling around on my pelvis seeing if it's getting more firm? I think it is, and I can't remember when I noticed it last time. I may have written it down.

First betas are back! We're at 142.7 at 12DPO & progesterone of 20.1. I know it's still very early, but these are good numbers compared to last month's & on par with DD2, so I'm going to celebrate for today & keep my FX for doubling on Thursday!!!
Happy Valentine's Day! Are you guys still drinking coffee? I didn't with DD, but this time around I'm still having one cup a day so far. I know mentally that it is fine, but I feel like because I didn't drink it with DD that I shouldn't with this baby either. I know it's crazy talk!

Definitely crazy talk, but I'm right there with you. I didn't drink coffee until after I had DD (coincidence?) so it wasn't an issue last time. I was hesitant to drink it this time around but I still enjoy my one cup a day. I've also purchased decaf for when I crave the taste but obviously it's not as good as the real stuff. That's one thing I reeeeeally miss, is having as much coffee as I want.

You can take my coffee from my cold, dead fingers. I had one cup a day, every day with DD.
Under 200 mg is a-okay. (Disclaimer: I am not a doctor and nutritional advice should only come from your doctor. )
Thank you! This eases my mind. And yes, my doctor has said the same. I'm sensitive to caffeine anyway so I only ever have 1 coffee per day and no other caffeine, but I just don't see myself giving that up... Like ever haha

Same exactly! I didn't drink coffee before DD was born so it wasn't like I was giving anything up with her. Now I feel like I need one cup per day to function. Maybe I should try decaf again. It always tastes just a bit worse to me haha. That may be in my head though!

I think it has a slightly different taste too. And it's missing the obvious benefit of course. I bought a small box of decaf k-cups when I found out I was preggo a few weeks ago and I still haven't finished the whole box. It's nice to have when I want the second cup. But I often don't want the second cup because...no caffeine 🤷🏼♀️

Fx they give them to you at lunch!

I love the portal. Mine updates really fast too. Sometimes UAs are in before I've left the OB's office!
I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do still have a soda a day. I need the caffeine for these bad headaches/mild migraines I've been having.
This is usually me. I've been having good success so far with weaning off/limiting the caffeinated stuff and the headaches aren't too bad. It makes me kind of cringe to think about how much caffeine was in my intake just last week.
mommabakes, and @mkruper Good Luck with your appts. tomorrow
Sorry about all those with pregsomnia. I usually sleep like a rock but am up 2-3 times to pee now!
Valentines dinner for us was takeout from a local pizza place, though I mostly just ate the breadsticks and cheese dip. I love our local little pizza place as I always run into former students working and can't believe how grownup they all become in just a few short years.

I hope everyone is having a nice Valentines day!
Does anyone know at what point I should call my OB about vomiting? I generally am sick for the whole pregnancy...but this seems next level. Vomited yesterday afternoon all through the night and have been vomiting every few hours since.

Yes! Same boat for me, I gave it up for 1st tri with my DD (and then 1 cup/day), but this time around it's been 1 cup most days -- with a toddler I usually need the boost! Some days I've gone without, but I owe that more to feeling sick than anything.

Yes, I think at some point nausea will kill my desire for coffee. But until then I don't see myself giving it up!

I would say if you're not even keeping water down, you need to call.
yogini kiki I agree with mkrupar. If you aren't able to keep anything down, don't wait to call. It's really important to keep fluids, at the very least, down right now. Plus, there's no need to force yourself through this suffering. They should be able to get you something to help you out.

yogini kiki I hope you feel better soon! + however many to going ahead and calling so you can get relief and keep food down.
I had such a long day and I'm just exhausted now. I plan on giving DD a quick bath and then jumping in myself while H does bedtime. These are the nights I could really go for a glass of wine but I guess I'll settle for a hot shower instead. 😜
