Boob pain?

So last night my right boob started hurting. On the bottom of the boob specifically. I was feeding of the left boob last night but about halfway through switched to see if feeding her would take the pain away. When she would suck I would get this almost burning sensation. It lessened a little as she nursed.

Have any of you experienced this? What is it? I plan to contact my LC if it's still an issue later today.

Sounds like it might be the start of a clog, which if left alone could turn into mastitis. It always did for me. Is there a red spot or streaks where it's sore?

Keep an eye on it. Also- if you start to feel "off" call your OB right away. Mastitis always started this way with me and I've had it three times. Early Abx are key with me. Once I felt off, it was less than 6 hours before I had full blown chills, fever and sweats.

FX it's just random boob pain, but definitely keep an eye on it!

I would try to dangle feed, moist heat, or use a vibrator/electric toothbrush to try and break it up. If you get a fever or you see it's turned red call your OB or PCP for antibiotics. Hope it clears up.

If it's a clog will it stay tender after it's resolved? It no longer hurts when she nurses but it's still a little tender to the touch. Not like it was though.

yes, it can take a couple of days for the tenderness go away. and if you can feel a lump, it can take a week or more for that to disappear completely.
