Anyone down to one nap a day yet? Anyone close? I can't decide if we're getting ready to drop the morning nap or not. Ds was such a horrible sleeper at this age that we were at one nap a day at 9 months old. Some days A sleeps like a champ, but other days everything is a fight. To make things harder, once or twice a week her morning nap is in the Tula because of older kid activities. What's going on for you?
I don't think we are even remotely close to 1 nap. She typically naps 2.5-3.5 hours a day over 2 naps at 9 and 130/2. I think she is on the higher sleep need ends bc she sleeps 12 hrs at night (with 1 wake up/feeding) so usually around 15 hrs a day...
I feel like she is tired so soon after she wakes up, I could even put her down earlier...

Since Christmas there has been maybe a total of five times she has taken more than one nap a day. She quit going down in the morning at her usual time so I got tired of fighting with her about it and quit even offering. There has also been a couple times where by the time she's ready for a second nap it's 5pm so I just keep her up. I think the hardest part for me is not knowing when she'll go down for a nap. Sometimes she's obviously ready for one as early as 11 and other times she won't go down until closer to two. The length of her naps varies too. It's always at least 1hr 45m, but if it's that short, then she's cranky because it wasn't long enough. A 2-2.5 hr nap is ideal, and there has been a few times she has napped for 3 to 3.5 hrs
Pretty sure he's mostly been on 1 nap for several months now. Every once in a while he'll take a morning nap. More so on the weekends, but at daycare it's like 95% 1 nap days there. I'm not sure how he functions, because night time sleep isn't the greatest either. He naps no longer than 90 minutes too, whether it's only a one nap day or not.

Our second nap of the day is always hit or miss and is usually a cat nap (no longer than 45 minutes). I would love if she dropped it as it would probably align her naptime more with my 2 year old but no such luck yet.

This is pretty much E too. She in total sleeps about 15 hours a day. 12 over night, sometimes one wake up. Dd1 was the same, once she became a good sleeper she required the higher end of sleep needs, if not above. She was regularly sleeping 14+ hours a day until this past summer at 3.5. Now it depends if she naps on the weekend. We didn't drop to one nap with her until she was about 18 months I believe.

Send your sleepy kid vibes my way, please and thank you!!!!
Jenna goes to bed at 8, takes until about 9 to fall asleep after talking and singing to herself, and then is up at about 7:30am usually. Sometimes I still have to wake her for daycare and she's a grump because she took forever to fall asleep. At least she sleeps all night though! Brady is an entirely different story!

Oh dd1 goes through regressions every few months. Right now she's decided dress terrified of the dark. We've managed to reign that in a bit, but was causing some big problems. Now though she uses our ensuite to pee early morning so that wakes us up, lol. She has to go down half a flight of stairs to the hallway one and won't.

C is the same about sleep. He goes to bed at 8, is asleep by 9 or 9:30 and is up between 5:30 and 6:30. His nap, if he naps, is no more than 1.5 hours. He's always been such a crappy sleeper. As a baby he never napped longer than 25 minutes. That's why we switched him to 1 nap a day at 9 months. At least is was like 45 minutes then! A naps an hour-ish in the morning (9:30-10:30) and then if I'm lucky she naps 12:30-3. Its getting harder to get her down for the afternoon, so I'm considering cutting her morning nap to 30-45 minutes. I can't really change the times because of older kid activities. #youngestkidproblems
We are still doing two naps. If not he is super cranky by 6pm. He wakes up 630-7am. First nap is at 10ish and afternoon nap is around 2. He usually does 45min-1.5hrs. bedtime is around 730-8pm.

We are still 2 naps, but she does fight it sometimes. She also rarely (and never for me) naps more than an hour. Plus she wakes up suuuuuper early. My kid hates sleep.

K wakes up around 7am. She has pushed the morning nap until about 10am, but she's in no way ready to drop it. If she goes any longer, she is a disaster by 11 and then pretty thrown off the rest of the day. She typically naps 10-11/11:30 and then again at 2:30/3-4:30/5. It ranges.

V takes 2 naps a day as of now. I prioritize DS' afternoon nap so her morning nap is usually on the go, which naturally shortens it. If V had her preferred schedule it would be:
830 wake 11-1130 nap 1 3-5 nap 2 9 bedtime
Unfortunately she is a fairly light sleeper so with DS being an early riser and traffic on our street, that rarely works out. Everything gets moved up about an hour if so.

K takes one nap at daycare. It's awful. 9/10 times she refuses the morning nap so she's a cranky demon by the time we get home. When she's not at DC we do at least two sometimes 3 naps.
This morning she was up at 4am. I told DC that I didn't care if they had to drug her (TIC of course) that for everyone's sake they need to get her to take a morning nap today.
On a related note. Is anyone still using the swing? K is still in the weight requirement so at home if she's fighting her nap, we'll put her in it.
I think most babies are still within the weight limit! We kissed ours goodbye around 3 or 4 months. I didn't want to create bad habits and also selfishly I didn't want to kill the motor so that we could resell it for a decent price.

We only use it when we absolutely need her to nap. But yeah, I'm going to need one that fits a 3 year old.

D is past the weight limit I'm sure. E is/was generally a worse sleeper (she has a lot more teeth than D so that could be why). My husband KEPT putting her in the swing and I got mad and put it in the garage and now it's just been sitting there for a really long time. Sometimes you just have to cut the cord
I think we are starting the 2-1 transition and it really sucks. It just makes scheduling activities so hard and I'm feeling a little lonely from it. LO is handling it ok though, I think.
He now it wants one nap. Sometimes it's a long nap (2hrs) sometimes only 45min. But, he is sleeping through the nite. He goes down at 730 and is up by 630.
So yesterday LO napped from like 10:40 to 12:30 and then night slept from 6:45-7:20 so pretty great! She was definitely sleepy in the evening but not too cranky or anything.
Likewise she went down around 10:45 today but is still asleep.
It's making figuring out meal times a little challenging but this schedule is actually great for activities if she can keep to it. Tomorrow she has swim class at 11 though, so I think I will try to have her take a short nap in the AM maybe around 9:30/9:45 or so.
