Good morning! This morning H has preschool and S & I will be running errands. I've been slacking on getting her birthday party stuff done but it occurred to me that I don't have much time left and need to kick it into gear.

I'm with you trtlcrzy. We also just moved DD's party to Saturday instead of Sunday, so now I don't even have a day to get my shit together! Plus work is crazy, daycare is closed tomorrow for a teacher training day, and I don't know how I'm going to get my work work done and plan a party. Plus MH is down for the count with a sinus infection (self diagnosed), so he's absolutely no help.
At least the party is smaller than anticipated?
Help me out ladies, hit me up with your favorite brunch recipes!!

Oh no. I'm sure it will all work out in the end. I love breakfast food. My favorite brunch type things are egg bakes. I also make this thing that kind of tastes like biscuits and gravy.
Open a can of crescent rolls (they now sell it in a sheet which is easier too) and press the seams together. Brown 1lb of breakfast sausage. When that is done mix it with one block of cream cheese (works best if it's soft) and salt & pepper to taste. Spread over the crescent rolls leaving space around the edge., then cover with another can of crescent rolls, seams pinched. Close the edges around the filling. Bake at 375 for about 20 minutes until it's golden brown.
musicalsilver I LOVE brunch! And breakfast. That's what we did for Lu's party last weekend! I made waffles (kept warm in the oven). My favorite for a crowd is quiche. If you buy frozen in the shell pie crusts you can make a few with different fillings and bake together in very little time Also, a fruit salad is always a go to here. And berry sauce if you're having waffles/pancakes (a bag of frozen mixed berries combined with whatever we have fresh and microwaved mixed with a little syrup until warm).
Morning! Last night I went to see 50 shades with my mom and sister. It was good. Anyone here read the books and seen the movie(s)? I have a busy work day and have to work a little late. H will have to get the kids and take them to hockey. I'll basically get done with work when hockey gets over. I hate nights like this and figuring out supper. It'll be almost 6:30 by the time we get to eat, and that's with something super quick.
Oh and for breakfast/brunch I'm team egg bake! You can whip it up the night before and store in the fridge and pop it in the oven that morning. Also muffins, donuts, juice, fresh fruit would be a nice addition.

I've read all the books and saw the first movie when it was released. Haven't had time to see the second yet but DH may be getting off early today (his bosses have decided they don't want to pay over time anymore and he was at 35hrs when he went in this morning) so I mentioned possibly going this afternoon.
Me too! I can't kick this cold. I have so much snot I can feel the pressure in my gums/teeth.
I'm pumping and watching This is Us. Hoping to make it to the library later. It's going to be gorgeous all weekend so H took off tomorrow. We are going to take X to the aquarium. I'm pumped.
I read all 3 books on our honeymoon (where no one I knew would see me reading it, ha), but never saw the movie.

You should go! It was good. He's not as serious and tense in this one, since the storyline is developing more, so he's even more hot in this one. Ha 🔥 Especially with the facial hair 😍

I have a crock pot French toast recipe that is really good. I will send it to you on Facebook since I only tcf on my phone at work.
We are having another winter storm right now. Cabin fever is definitely setting in.
We also bought a snow blower yesterday! It's an electric one which we thought would charge then use a battery pack. But when H started reading the instructions for assembly, he noticed it has to be plugged in to use it. So he wants to return it. We don't really have an outlet outside that could be used so it makes sense.
So we have to stick with manual shoveling for this storm. Boo.
I'm about to have a nap. And hopefully the wind settles down so we can dig ourselves out this afternoon /evening

Dh arrived safe and sound. Got a nice card and some candies for belated v-day.
We got all ready to go out to lunch only to find the car had died (he took a cab home from the airport). So he had to walk to work (1 mile), find someone to give us a jump tonight and rain check for lunch tomorrow.

Bummer. Did you say somewhere you guys are moving soon? How long are your H's assignments (?) for a particular area before moving again?

We're all on the mend here and taking it easy while we enjoy a BRAT diet. I have to decide this afternoon whether the girls will be healthy enough to go to my mom's in the morning or DH has to take time to stay home with them. I'm hoping things go well because he is already taking time off to come see the surgeon for results/next steps on Tuesday afternoon.
It will probably take us a few days to catch up on all the household cleaning that has built up. Good thing we have no solid plans this weekend. I also need to get moving on birthday party prep!

Yes, our current assignment ends in a couple months, but we don't have a new home quite yet. Mostly my fault, we missed out on assignments bc I couldn't make up my mind and that wasted a bunch of time. The panel meets every month, we hope we'll hear something at the next one.

DD1 says vominate instead of vomit. When I went to see her after she was sick she declared to me that she had "vominated in the toilet". It's kind of awesome.
Mine seem to crop up after pregnancies. I got my first couple after Amber was born and I've got about 10 now. :-( Plus, super visible since I have dark hair. I'm hoping I get a couple more years before I feel like I have to dye it. I am not interested in walking around with visible grey during my 30s!
Weird side note: my mom's cousin had black hair but went completely grey quickly after 18.

I have several relatives who were completely grey before they turned 20. I got my first grey hair shortly after I turned 30. Lately I've been yanking a grey hair from the top of my head about once a month. I'm blonde so I think they are only noticeable to me.
