@osw soooooo. Lol. Does he want to come with or something?
Nope, his excuse is that he has to take care of the animals for 3 days by himself and that the dog cries all the time because he misses me and it's not fair that he has to run the house alone.
Haha @osw what a big baby. I left DH for an entire week in august. He survived.
I just wish he would get his own life and leave me alone. I travel for work a few times a year but god forbid I want to go see a friend. I think he just holds some kind of resentment towards this particular person. She is a free spirit, single mom, yoga teacher that has been in my life for 10 years. I have been with her through a lot including her divorce. She is very much opposite of me but that's why I love her. It hurt me that she didn't come to our wedding and I think that bothered him. I don't hold things against people though and I will always love her.
My bday is week after next! So many Feb birthdays here!
And what kind of cake will YOU be having?
I realized that the ILs will probably want to celebrate this weekend while they are in town and I can have my ice cream cake with them, then ask H to make me a chocolate soufflé cake for my actual birthday. Genius.
Two cakes here too! I'm having people over the weekend after my actual bday. I need to decide the second cake. One will be chocolate mint in some form.
We are fighting about going to child birth class later this month because he thinks he has seen enough movies to know what will happen.
Hahaha! You can tell your H that my H has been in real-life births (rotating through OB) and says it's not even close. Gotta watch the real instructional videos.

It is nothing like the movies...
I've been in the delivery room a couple times and wanted to be an OB/Midwife/Doula at some point in my life so I get that...it's H that thinks he's fine.

I know, it was directed at your H! Just tell him he'll have to hold a leg and may have to catch said baby, or you could be like DH's cousin who didn't make it to the hospital in time and ended up having the baby at home in the bath tub...

So did my DH but after a quick conversation about the reality including the fact that he may have to hold a leg we hired a doula.
MH was not expecting the nurse to tell him to hold my other leg so I could push. It's always a big group in the delivery room in movies so he was surprised when it was just the 2 of us, the OB, and a nurse.

I actually had a big group but probably not the norm. I had my nurse, paediatric nurse, doctor and her resident, my mom, my sister, my ex husband and my best friend who was sorta like my doula. I think a paediatrician came in just after he was born too. I really hope to have a smaller crowd this time!

I had two nurses since my OB almost missed the delivery but it was pretty much the same as you ... I was actually surprised how well DH stepped up to the plate when I was in labor. He had one leg while one nurse had the other
