dizzycooks - I totally want a vitamix blender! They are amazing. You can get a super smooth texture with them, not a grainy, icy mix like a cheap blender. They just work really really well. If you guys are into making smoothies I think it would be worth it?
I'm also having crabby times with my H and a big cause is also moving. Our plan was to buy a house in a small town outside of the city. I used to freak out about settling down "so far" (30 to 45 minute drive) from everything but had wrapped my head around the idea and was excited about it. The town is cute, the schools are decent, and I think things are really going to take off in that area. The downside is that it's not in the city where the things and people we like are.
Now my H says he wants to downsize and move to a house that is close in. We may have to get a two bedroom to afford that, and he is basically upending all the plans and ideas we have talked about for the past year. That's fine, and I'm glad he's bringing it up now instead of further into the process, but it's really stressful nonetheless. I think he's being overly optimistic about the kind of house we can get with our budget in the neighborhoods he's thinking of.
Oh, and he's also been off work for the last two weeks. And he's still fighting off that bad cold we all had, and has been moping around the house all stir crazy and annoyed by simple child rearing tasks. Sorry, dude... your heavy sigh because dd1 woke up from her nap early, or your passive aggressive sweeping of the mess the girls made eating their lunch isn't helping things. I wish he would go golfing or something. Or just fucking cheer up and stop acting so negative about everything.
