We turned DS car seat around yesterday (he's 2, well in a few days) & moved it to the middle. Since I've read a lot of articles on how it's a bad idea to turn them around. This is not good for my anxiety. I do feel the positioning of the seat is safer in the middle.
I think he watches too much tv, too. According to the AAP, he definitely is.
This morning my 2 year old took a sip of water from his water bottle then spit it on the floor. When i asked why he would do that, he told me the guy from tree "mama said knock you out" video did it. I told him that in the video they are in a boxing ring. Ll Cool J is not standing in my kitchen.
shortskirtlongjacket, why turn him around if you're nervous about it? A lot of people keep kids RF for much longer than 2.
I was thinking the same. Do whatever you think is safest. So far only my 5 year old is forward facing and I only made that switch a year ago when he hit the max weight for his seat.

For the past couple weeks when I would wash and dry my hair felt funky, really weighted down. I thought it was the product so I cut that out, I thought it was not washing my hair enough and then I thought it was build up. Nothing worked so I went to check the salt tank for our reverse osmosis water filter- empty. Went out and bought a few bags of salt and washed & dried and what do you know? My hair is back to normal.
Home today with DD b/c of the holiday. H is leaving for a trip today. Work was less than thrilled because we have deadlines in March. But I asked for it off about 2-3 weeks ago and she didn't say anything. I had to ask her again Friday about it and she basically said "no other choice?". Well no, not the day before. People work. If you had said something when I first put in the request or even a week ago I could have asked my MIL.
I have my first job interview in 6 years today. The good news is I was able to squeeze into my old suit. The bad news is I have to stop at Walgreens on the way there to buy panty hose, then shimmy into them in the car.

I'm off today and H is off and the boys are off... except the baby. We can keep him home, but we pay for daycare regardless today so we should send him right for just a few hours?
There are about 4 days a year when the littles inhome daycare is open, but preschool is closed and H and I are off work. We send her in, and one of us spends the day with the big kid and one of us gets a few hours to ourselves. It's amazing.
DD is at daycare, H and DS went to see the lego batman movie. I'm drinking coffee, doing laundry, watching Scandal. Going to run some solo errands later.
Yes, I couldn't figure out why they were so insistent on it. If they say anything to me, I have science on my side.
And that's what you need to use to tell her to turn her seat around.
There is a youtube video of a FF vs RF crash test that I showed my MIL when faced with the same kind of push to FF. That solved it- I didn't hear anything more from her. I'm trying to find the link
I love vacation (from school- we're home). The big boys and I made a cake for a playdate with a bunch of other teachers, I got a little activism work done, then a Hamilton dance party. DS1 made me switch it to the score of star wars, still dancing. ❤

I can't find the exact one I showed my MIL, it was a couple of years ago, but there are tons out there and some are not easy to watch. IMO it is worth showing a couple to both YH and your MIL if you truly want to continue to RF

DD is still RF and she'll be 3 next month. My mom wanted to turn her awhile ago because she was having trouble lifting DD into her car seat. But we solved that problem by letting DD climb in the car.
I am scheduling a phone interview for an executive admin position that I applied for. Fingers crossed that I can hold my shit together better than my last interview.

Well I spoke too soon. Congestion hit me like a brick wall and the boys are at each other's throats. At least I made banana bread and can eat it soon. Trying to focus on the positive.
