MH is watching snowboarding videos to get hyped up to go to the slopes. lol he's so adorable. Snowboarding videos have not as many cute guys as I would expect.
I had two donuts for breakfast, having cake after lunch with the office, going out to dinner (will probably order dessert), and H is buying me an ice cream cake to have all to myself.
At the advanced age of 35, I probably shouldn't eat like this but oh well.
Everyone has decided to "vote" on what sex they think/want baby to be by taking a pink or blue cupcake. It's amusing.
I just learned one of the analysts on our team, who is the oldest on our team (in his 50s or even 60 I would say) has been telling the lead analyst for a while he wants a "team baby". I get now why he was so excited when I told him!

It's your birthday. Eat what makes you happy. That's my rule on my birthday.

You are doing it right. I need a re-do on my birthday and get on your level.
At what hCG level are abdominal ultrasounds done versus vaginal ones?
Interesting one. I'll let someone who knows take it.
Anecdote: I didn't need my hCG measured (lucky, I know) but I needed a vaginal done for our first attempt at the 12-week ultrasound (done at 11 weeks) because baby was "too small". She said it's an issue of size, at least at that point. By the next week, baby was big enough for the abdominal.

Rama I was always told it's a size thing. They usually do the 8 week dating one as a transvag then all the rest can be abdominal as long as they can get a good view of everything they need to see.

Rama, I had ultrasounds done at 10, 12, 14, and 20 weeks with DD (I had SCHs that needed monitoring) and they didn't start doing the abdominal u/s until 14 weeks, when she was finally big enough, but they still took some shots vaginally as well, since they needed a really good one of my cervix. And that's definitely not a stupid question!

No idea about the hcg part of it, but as an anecdote my first ultrasound was abdominal at 10w5d and they didn't have any issues but the tech had warned me that they might need to do vsginal to get a better look (since we weren't positive how far along I was, I measure exactly one week further along than what I thought I was...).

I think it's more about visibility. Mine were done vaginally up until my anatomy scan at 18 weeks. They always started out abdominally but could get a clear view and switched to vaginal. I was prettt thrilled when my dates with "Wanda" were over. And even after they can clearly see babiez they still did vaginal ultrasounds to check my cervix for a while.

I've started working on a brain-dump to-do list of things to get done before this baby gets here and... yikes. I have gotten next to nothing done in the last 32 weeks and need to really step it up for the next 8 (or less)!
