I'm trying to get my kid enrolled in freaking kindergarten and I legally own my house in the damn place I'm trying to enroll him and the proof of residency requirements are so extensive it's a major PITA to produce all the required documents. whaddafuq
Kindergarten registration was the freshest of hell. T&Ps
I started back on topomax for migraines this morning. I stopped a while ago hoping to get pregnant. It hasn't happened, and my migraines are getting bad again, so I started back up. But it's making me feel so foggy!
I had the same experience when I restarted it after C, but I adjusted in a few days. Hang in there!
We are dealing with this too. Are they doing another follow up while she is awake? We are doing something called an abr when he is asleep to get his tubes in
She was awake for the whole thing. Her ear drums were fine, but the hearing test failed. She is now meeting milestones so in the months them do it again along with a different heading test since she'll be older.
Stuck in box
This is what happened with out first test. Even though DS2 is meeting all milestones he is still eligible for speech here so that might be something you can have access too. It is through our early intervention program.
I believe @kelz I am sure I screwed up the tag has dealt with this too.
Thank you ladies. I'm near tears, I am so freaking happy with this turn of events. It's just hard getting out of my own head. I've always been successful at work, this is a new experience for me.
I've been there. It's hard to be in a difficult work situation and feel like you are drowning day in and day out. Some jobs are just unmanageable. I'm 110% better off at my current job and so glad I walked away from that mess! It really shows how great of a worker you are by how your supervisor thought of you for the new position! GL to you!

Heyo. The chiropractor isn't coming in today so we basically rescheduled all the appointments and now I'm just sitting here alone. I'm supposed to man the phones until 5, but I can do that from home, so... definitely won't be staying much longer.
Dear heavenly mother of dildos, Goddess to all below. Please let our friend Jap emerge from her sexual adventures shard free. May the glass of her dildo only be ribbed for her pleasure. May you be kind with temperature changes and the laws of nature. Amen. In the pussy.
I've literally had to procure a copy of my mortgage, utility bill, car registration and property tax bills plus sign an affidavit and fill out eleventy thousand pages of forms.
That's insanity. What do people do who rent and don't have a car?
If it helps at all @hilarityensued, if you ever have to change schools, the process only gets easier. I now have a folder of all documents a school could ever ask for and just pull from that when we've moved.
did you guys have a great time? DS and I are giddy. H...not so much.
We had fun - it was exhausting for us grownups, but our kids really were troopers and were good in the parks, etc. It was DD's 3rd Disney visit and DS's 1st everything (Disney, flight, hotel, etc) and they both did well.
The key for us was building in rest time. Around lunchtime we headed back to the hotel to eat and swim in the pool & nap before doing anything later in the day.
Yes. We would leave the park by 2 and come back around 5. DD would nap, the boys would swim, etc.
Also my kid doesn't have an IEP or any special or extraordinary needs on the education or medical front at this time, and I cannot fucking figure out what forms I need to have filled out for medical. GDI.
Our pedi had all the forms we needed, we just sent a request and picked them up a few days later. Maybe your pedi knows?
who knew enrolling in kindy would make me feel like I have difficulties reading for comprehension.
I'm not sure how your district works, but I made copies of the emergency, medical, handbook, and other misc crap forms so I could just change the date each year and add meds if needed.
This is the bed DS has, but in black. It was much easier to put together than DD's due to what I believe to be higher quality materials and workmanship.
Talking about this kindy enrollment reminded me that I dropped the ball on getting DS's required pre-K screening done. They want you to do it when your kid is 3. DS just turned 4, so close enough.

We were allowed to bring internet copies of utility bills for registration. All other forms and identification had to be originals which they would scan or keep when you went to register at the district building.

. It's a nine month wait list for speech therapy here so I'm glad I got on the list. I could go private if needed since we have a bit of insurance, but it will run out by June since I'm taking extra time off work after my maternity leave.
It is extremely hard to get a family doctor here. I just found one that is accepting new patients and she has absolutely fantastic ratings and reviews, I really liked the things people had to say about her. I just called and they said yes they will accept us as new patients BUT the doctor only works 3 days a week. Is that a deal breaker?
(Side note: I think once we are officially patients of a family doctor we become lowest priority instead of highest for doctors accepting new patients, so I want to get this right. I can't just switch easily.)
Is she the only doctor at the practice? Would someone else be able to see you in the event of an emergency? Does family doctor mean that everyone in the family sees that doctor? Does Canada have pediatricians?
Yes we have pediatricians. I had a family doctor growing up and still see him. My kids have a pediatrician.
tLex I would take the spots and keep looking. Are there good children's clinics you could go to for illness if she's not available?
I'm on the plane about to come back from Costa Rica. We have another year to figure out where we want DS to start K and I may obsess over it to death until then.
My SIL/BIL and their kids are there now. Wave to them upon takeoff for me!
