1. My mom is getting married in May (her and my "step dad" have been together since I was in high school so it's basically like they're married already.). We went shopping for a dress today and she found one within 28 minutes of shopping. It's not at all a wedding dress but it's a small beach wedding and she feels good in it. I'm happy for her.
2. I posted a project on Donors Choose (a website where teachers can request funding for special projects or materials). It got fully funded today by an anonymous donor and I feel like I won the lottery. I'm so pumped and I'm not even working right now.
3. I think I'm going to go to the movies by myself tomorrow and bring DD2 (so not really by myself) but I'm nervous the sound will be too loud for her little ears.
Oh dear! I am sorry your H is leaving...obviously I haven't been around so do not know the real reason but you have a sad face. Hope all is alright.SaveSave

footloose, creepy hugs. You always sound like such an upbeat, positive, capable and independent person and you don't need another person to make you feel happier...it can be nice but not necessary. Before I met DH I'd pretty much given up ( I was 35 ) and came to terms that it was quite alright to be single and happy rather than to be in a relationship just because. I hope in time you'll find that spark with or without another person. I am just a couple of yrs behind you too.
Thanks, I'm super excited about it. There are so many things I want to do with/for my students that my school will never pay for and I can't afford. This website is such a blessing.

When I was on mat leave my local movie theater used to do a mum and baby movie every week and I went with DS a lot. It was really fun to get out and the noise never bothered him.
