Morning! It's rainy here today, so I'm hoping to just get caught up on house stuff. I feel like I'm constantly trying to catch up.
There's a tot time today at anew baby gym, but X is just now on the tail end of a 2 week cold. DNW more germs. Boo.
I'm hungry and need coffee!
I totally feel you on the never catching up around the house thing. It's making me feel crazy. Also on the coffee thing. I just made another cup (and my first cup was HUGE). I need to use today to get tons of stuff done but I also need to catch up on This Is Us, haha. Priorities.
It's nice here today again and supposedly to be tomorrow yet too (and then it plummets and threatens snow). So I think we will try to hit the zoo today or tomorrow. Depends on when I get around to showering.
I still have to sort through his presents from last weekend and clean up the basement from the party.
Also need to change all the door knobs yet and add the covers. No more opening the door while mama is trying to pee in private!

There hasn't been a day in 5 years where I have privacy every time I go to the bathroom.
I'm so freaking tired of winter. There's been snow covering our backyard for over two months. I just want to be able to send the kids out to play without dealing with all the clothes and the mess they bring inside.

I can't wait for Spring. There are only so many free inside activities.
Is anyone else's babe eating a ton?! He's always ate well, but now I think he's eating as much as I do at meals and is really hungry in between meals, too. Is there a growth spurt around now?
I feel like if I'm not getting him down for a nap, I'm preparing him a meal or snack. If I'm not doing that, I'm cleaning up from it. Rinse and repeat.

I don't care if he is in there while it's just us at home. But it's different when there are other people here (like his party) and he's opening the door on everyone, lol. Not cool.

DH is on his way out of state for a work conference so I am officially solo parenting until Saturday morning. It should be mostly smooth sailing other than figuring out how to manage SS's taekwondo schedule without driving back and forth twenty times or getting L to tolerate sitting quietly for two hours while we wait at the center.
I'm quite excited for post-kid-bedtime solo time though. No falling asleep on the couch while watching DH play video games and no one to discourage me from going straight to bed after the evening chores are complete! Anyone have recommendations for shows that are good for binge watching without husbands? We watch almost everything together so I'm at a loss for what to watch without him, haha.
I worked out at the Y before running errands. Why can't I be one of those people who glows after they work out? I'm a red faced gross mess for hours. And then I'm starving. Which essentially negates the point of working out. Ugh. In other news, I bought 5 storage tubs. Because that is how much clothes sorting I've done in the last 2 days

I got a new cube neighbor today. She has been on the phone all day talking about hiring a lawyer and warrants. I hope she makes her initial call to a lawyer before the end of the day because I would really like to know what is going on.
Hey ladies! I've had a pretty productive day. MIL picked up H this morning and then S and I left to run errands. We stopped at a little toy shop downtown and I picked up a toy and book for her birthday. Then we went to the bakery and ordered her bday cake. After that was target and Starbucks. I dropped her off at my sister's house and I'm currently in the waiting room for my first haircut since April. I'm in desperate need.

In true foreshadowing fashion with my post yesterday, I got sick today. Bad food poisoning with fever and chills. Dh took the day off to help, thank god. I feel rather lame and wiped out.
We're going to try to have ds's party tonight with cake but he took a 30 min nap and is being ornery at dinner so this should go well.

piperhalliwell, good luck and enjoy the solo time! Have you watched "Love" on Neflix? It's funny and quirky. I binged it the week after my husband went back to work when X was born.
We ended up going to the open gym time today. It was only $3 and X has been fighting all his naps anyways, so I figured we might as well make a day out of it. He had fun. The whole gym area had a padded floor, which is great for a non walker. They also had little centers of other things (kitchen, coloring, etc).
Some kid threw a truck at X, pushed him off the little alligator seesaw, and climbed a chair and TURNED OUT THE LIGHTS in the room. I still couldn't tell you who his parent there was. Seriously? It's one thing to give your kid some independence, but this was a little extreme. Annoying.

Day 3 of DD having a fever. I have been trying to convince myself it's just molars but I'm starting to wonder. She coughs so hard sometimes she throws up. I stayed home with her today even though my mom said she would watch her since she couldn't go to daycare. I may have to take her in tomorrow if things don't improve.

rivers and roads some of those actions sound like my DS. I might not catch everything because my attention is split but there would at least be some intervention.
eyelashedviper, sure- I'm for kids being kids and not swooping in on everything, but this kid was going crazy to other kids, too. I watched the gym lady have to intervene with him a few times and the parent still did nothing. He was maybe 5, so bigger than most kids there and apparently more powerful
rivers and roads I would not handle that situation well. It's one thing if it was like a 16 month old pushing because they go through that phase of experimenting with intensities and don't know better. But a five year old? You better be pulling your kid aside and explaining to them how we play around other smaller kids, or I would be throwing some serious side eye.
I want a glass of wine the size of my head. I feel burned out and blah for no good reason. Ugh. Oh wait. I got my period today! I literally just put this together mid post. Wine and ice cream for me

Ooohh ... I have wine and ice cream too. This sounds like a great idea.

I'm so exhausted. I had a super busy day at work which was great because it flew by. I made the earlier train so that was nice. Baby was happy to see me and relatively non whiney. Apparently he ate all the food at daycare lol, and just sort of snacked on dinner but then had a ton of blueberries and yogurt melts before nursing. So yeah all the food. The daycare lady always seems astonished by how much he can eat 😳.
Thank god my cleaners are in tomorrow. I can't wait to have a clean house! It's tidy but working has made it impossible to keep up. Like really don't know how you other ladies do this.

The pictures turned out great mrssmith613! I hope your DD is feeling better soon. With those symptoms it's making me think influenza, since that's going around, and I hope she doesn't have that.
