Milestones: Her two year old molars are almost through. The last teeth!!
Challenges: So many opinions and "I will do it". Kill me now.
Funny/cute story: B and her little sister are besties already. They are always playing together, and last week we were in the grocery store they were both laughing so hard together people were staring at us. I think they wondered what was so funny, but honestly I have no idea…
How are you? Better than I have been in recent weeks. I think we have finally turned the corner with illnesses and everybody is healthy again! For this week anyways
Anything else? My youngest sister got engaged over the weekend. They are planning a summer 2018 wedding so I need to really start getting my butt in shape!
Milestones: Taking a few steps here and there but still not walking on his own. Getting better with a fork.
Challenges: n/a - things are good. (Just waiting for the inevitable fever and rash after Monday's mmr shot)
Funny/cute story: He's suddenly super into giving kisses. He'll come up and turn my/H's head to kiss one cheek, then turn it the other way to kiss the other. It's adorable and I die.
How are you? I'm good.
Anything else? I think we might look for a new pedi. I liked her in the beginning, but now that he's older I'm seeing that she just gives blanket advice, doesn't really even care to know how/what he's doing on a personal level, and it bugs me. She's overly proactive (she wants us to come back in a month to recheck his head measurement because it was just slightly up the curve this time). I'm just, meh.
QOTW: Favorite television/movie president? No idea.

Age: 3.75
Milestones: More and more independent. She's all about doing all the things alone. And she's acting so mature. I can't put my finger on a specific example, just her overall demeanor.
Challenges: Mumbling and baby voice. Ugh, I'm over it.
Funny/cute story: She saw an episode of the old Power Rangers and will now only dress in all pink because that's her favorite PR.
How are you? Tired. Anxious. Trying to manage expectations.
Anything else? C may come home this week, but I'm trying to manage my expectations in case that changes. I've been updating CAR and F17.

Age: Two years, although everyone we meet asks if he's 4....soooo tall
Milestones: Learning numbers, calls them out as we see them in stores-aisle numbers, sales prices. Tells me when he has two or three items. Counts the steps and people's fingers. And even says,"uno-dos-tres"
Challenges: Hyperactivity since naps are getting pretty short and the world is very interesting.
Funny/cute story: I was folding laundry earlier and D ran into his room, grabbed a bunch of his PJs, came back, piled it on the bed in a heap, repeated two more times and then said,"I help! I did it!"
How are you? No complaints except I could really use $100 grand right about now/
Anything else? Mentally exhausted...I'm in a wedding in May, one I declined being MOH for but agreed to be a BM and everyday there is like 10 messages about planning shower/bachlorette parties and costing an arm and leg.
QOTW: Favorite television/movie president? Fave as in portrayal would be SNL Baldwin as Trump! Or David Palmer from "24"

tkford216 yeah no, you were JUST pg. There is literally no way you have a 1 yr old
DS is 17 months
He's really getting the hang of utensils (i.e. he doesn't immediately turn them causing everything to fall off).
Well he's actually working on NINE teeth right now (all molars & his left bottom). Two have already broken through, so here's hoping the rest will follow suit. And as always, tantrums.
We visited the Riverwalk last weekend, and he liked waving at the boats as they came by. He also waved at a large number of complete strangers, most of whom had no clue how to react to a baby saying "hi" to them...
Same shit, different week.
I'm soloing this week. Yesterday went ok, but I'm nervous for the rest of the week. DH and I typically trade off during the bad tantrums so we don't get frustrated, but I won't have that option.
QOTW: None immediately come to mind, but I always love who they pick for SNL sketches

Age: 2.5
Milestones: He's just seeming so much more mature, you know? It feels like that happens overnight, and it's bittersweet.
Challenges: Naps. We're suddenly having a hard time with naps, and I am so not into that. Potty training is nonexistent as well, but that is totally my own fault.
Funny/cute story: He has been turning up the radio in the kitchen when he likes a song so he can get his groove on.
How are you? Pretty good. Really stressed and feeling like there is never enough time for work or life in general, but hanging in there. Anything else? DH and I are playing hooky together tomorrow! Yay! QOTW: Favorite television/movie president? Bill Pullman in Independence Day. He's just kind of lovable.
