There are a surprising number of people who use EMS as a taxi service. It really frustrates my dad and brother.
How does this even work? Do they fake an emergency? Wouldn't it be cheaper to call an actual taxi? Why does the ambulance take them home instead of to the hospital? So many questions!

Most of them are on public aid, so they don't have to pay anything. And yeah, usually it's some "emergency" And some people live by the hospital, so they fake the emergency to get near home. Most of their "taxi runs" are for people at the hospital who want to go home though. It's considered a patient transfer. Idk. It's definitely a waste of their time and resources.
