"Found Out About You" is my favorite by them, so that's what I voted for. I feel like "Hey Jealousy" comes on the radio more often these days but I don't think it is as good.
I know Larry happened. Please do not try to convince me otherwise. Please don't talk to me about coffee. I don't drink it. I don't caffeine. When I state my opinion, that is me chiming in on a topic. This is not me saying you suck at life if you do or feel differently. If I want to say that, I will. If I want to speak on you, I will.

Found Out About You and Hey Jealousy were equally popular in Western NY but if you had asked me which band sang each song I'd only be able to tell you Hey Jealousy. I forgot the other song was theirs.
Still better than having married a Gin Blossoms denier which is what I thought was going on at first.
Marriage deal breaker fo sho.
I found out too late. That should have been on the list of things discussed in premarital counseling. Maybe I can change his weekly Spotify discovery to the Gin Blossoms to help rectify the issue.

When I read the title of the thread was about Gin Blossoms, I started singing Found Out About you. But still voted Hey Jealousy without reading the results... Sorreh
"Follow Me Down" was by far the biggest hit where I grew up. I think I hear "Found Out About You" slightly more than "Hey Jealousy", so I will throw you a bone, but I would have been interested to see a three way poll.
According to Wikipedia both "Hey Jealousy" and "Found Out About You" hit No.25 on Billboard Top 100 whereas "Follow You Down" hit No.9. Ergo, you are both wrong. Problem solved.
Also did you guys ever wonder where the hell he wouldn't follow her to in "follow you down"? It was like meatloaf 2.0
I clearly have a lot of Gin Blossoms feels
I was always under the impression it was about suicide. "Jumping off a bridge is just the farthest that I've ever gone." "Are they going to find us lying face down in the sand? What the hell, now we've already been forever damned."
Their original guitarist and song writer of both hit songs above killed himself shortly after the release of "Hey Jealousy", just for added reference why it might be about that. He had been kicked out of the band because of problems with drugs and alcohol. When his songs propelled the band to stardom without him, it was too much for him to handle.
Hey Jealousy by far. I was in high school and had both on a mix cd. My friends all knew Hey Jealousy and when Found Out About You came on they had no idea what it was. Andplusalso, we did a pom routine to Hey Jealousy, so of course it's a bigger hit.
Also I think Hey jealousy had the most staying power, which isn't necessarily the same thing as most popular at the time.
OKAY I WILL LEAVE THIS THREAD NOW
Agreed. It's the kind of song that comes on and you have to turn up the volume and sing along! The other songs don't have that same effect, but they are still good songs.
