twinmomma If YH school is like mine this is the time of year where they start negotiating contracts. He needs to put his foot down. If they really find him valuable, which I am sure they do, then he needs to draw the line. He might be amazed what they will offer if they think they are going to lose him.
And I know this is easy for me and you to say and a whole different matter to convince him....
Has he ever thought about finding a different school? This is the time of year to look.
@becominggold, He'll never leave this job. Theater teacher jobs are so few and far between, he'd never give that up. Plus, it's like 2 minutes from our house. From his perspective, this is his "dream job." Which would be fine if he had no other responsibilities. I do want to suggest that he negotiate for some sort of compensation for all the extra time he puts in after school. But last year he signed his new contract without even mentioning it to me, so who knows if he'd even do anything about it.
