Has anyone started packing yet? I was just thinking this morning that I should start throwing some stuff in my bag. Can't believe how close we are.
I haven't yet, but plan to start throwing stuff together this week and next week. I want to make sure I have a bag ready and in the car when I go to my OB appointments. ETA: which also means I should make sure C has an over night bag packed (with several days of clothes available)
violetrose - Packing the bag is on my list for early June (I'm due 6/21). I don't have any current risks for early labor, so unless I get all the other things done or really feel compelled, no rush over here.

violetrose - I have the baby's bag packed and ready, but haven't packed my bag (or one for DS) yet. DS was 10 days late, but I have a feeling DD is going to be on time or early. Whether it is needed or not, it helps my stress level to know that the bag is ready to go should anything happen. My bag will start being packed after I do a couple loads of laundry. I have everything I need, I think, I just need to pack. DS has a few changes of clothes at my parents' house and plenty of diapers & wipes there. It will be easy for my parents to drive to my house to get the pack & play and bedtime things if they need anything.

I bought some of the things I need on my list like travel sized toiletries. Next week DH and I are living out of the guest room because our room is being painted so after that I will probably start organizing things on the guest bed and start throwing it into a bag shortly after. Also we have our birthing class this weekend so I want to know what they are providing before I pack.
as soon as i start putting baby clothes away, i'll probably put my bag in the nursery and start throwing stuff i won't need between now and then in there. i will be taking very little! i'm not one who wants to wear makeup or do my hair (like ever, lol), so just some clothes for me/baby, slippers, a robe. i remember that it took me months to unpack the bag i took after DD1 was born because i took too much.
My last night in a hotel for work is this week (no more flying - just a driving trip), so after that I'll probably leave my suitcase open and start throwing a few things in when I think of it. I use all my travel size toiletries and makeup for showering at the gym and my office after midday exercise, so I always have that stuff ready to go and can just switch it from my gym bag to the hospital bag. But I'll probably start to set aside the coming home outfit for baby, my slippers, etc. in the suitcase.

Thanks to the lovely ladies in this group, I panic packed before my OB sent me to the hospital, if it wasn't for these lists I probably would have been running around in a fit of anxiety!
Me: 29 DH: 35 NTNP since May 2013 charting since June 2014 dx: Graves disease (radioactive iodine), Crohns disease (abdominal surgeries) MMC October 2015 (9 weeks) Severe MFI diagnosis July 2015
I'm not due until mid-June and refuse to entertain the possibility of baby arriving in May, so I won't be packing a bag until June at the earliest. I also won't be bringing much and could very likely end up throwing things together while I'm in labour.
I keep saying I should start packing a bag but then also think, I have time! I will be the one who had a list set since 24 weeks but is packing in between contractions....

Bumping this back up as I add to my bags. Baby book. I brought it with C and the nurses did his footprints for me. (Since they were already doing the footprints for the hospital) they also sent us home with extra ink for his handprints (which I sadly never got around to doing.)
Welp I've just read through this thread and made a tentative list of what I want in my bag. I appreciate all the input! Anyone else a procrastinator like me and haven't even registered at their hospital yet?? 3-5 weeks left, depending if I let doc induce me.. eek.

We can't pre-register so no worry there. But I have not packed a single thing yet!

I'm also considering bringing a little fan but I may check with the hospital first. The doula leading our birth class also suggested a waterbottle with a straw.

We also can't pre-register. I'm going to try packing this weekend. I'll be 36 weeks so that seems good. My neighbor had her baby at 37 weeks, although she was induced.

Small town hospital. There is a chance we could be the only patients on the floor or one of just a couple likely. Both times we have gone to L&D for something, we were the only ones there.

I *have* to have white noise and air flow. Bless you for this post. I went out and bought a mini fan. ❤
