Why is peeling myself off the couch to go to bed so hard sometimes? Too tired to move.
You are me. I'm so sore and tired from mall walking all day with a kid with no stroller. MH just walked me upstairs, tucked me in and gave me a heating pad.
Recovering from a 5 am trip to the ER for a raging allergic reaction to who knows. Have severe muscle weakness due to a combo of a new Wellbutrin script and my reaction to the Benadryl this morning. As a result I fell getting out of the shower and just fell again walking into my daughter's karate class. So I'm bruised and scraped up and totally embarrassed that my poor husband has had to pick me up off the ground twice today. In sickness and health and all that.
I let the boys stay up late(r) since it was so nice outside. Now they're sound asleep and I've had ice cream. Now I get to ruin that delicious flavor by taking cough medicine.
At what point should I go to the doctor? I've had this cough for 3 weeks now. And it just won't go away.

Jeebus. That's a rough 24 hours. I would grant you many drinks but drinks would probably be a terrible idea mixed with Wellbutrin and benadryl

Have you tried treating from an allergy / post nasal drip standpoint? Antihistamines, steroid nasal sprays, etc.
Ive tried multiple things, but it's just lingering. I had a bad cold a few weeks ago that I fought with mucinex; now using Flonase and Zyrtec.
MH told me if we ever get a dog he likes doodles and I got really excited because STD popped into my head and all the cuteness. Then I remembered how much work dogs are and I was like NOPE. I think my different reactions confused him.
I was hell bent on getting a kitten a few weeks ago and even claimed I'll call him Glen. And then I realized cats are dicks with claws and Glen can get fucked.

DS (3.5y and old enough to know better) is spending the evening scream-crying from his room for various reasons: - he wants his blankie which got dirty again - his door needs to be closed all the way - he needs to tell me something RIGHT NOWWWWW - etc
I'm not going up there because he'll find something else to yell about. This is exhausting and I'm pretty done with the bedtime shitshows lately. Why is everything a fight??

My kid never acts like this.
JK LOL
she came downstairs screaming earlier because she remembered her friend threw mulch in her face at school.

My kid loves to wait until she's all tucked in and then be like I need water/to pee/grab something. Worst.

My kid freaked out once he was in bed because "Batman's cape is broken." Neither of us had any clue what he was talking about so we basically ignored until he fell asleep.

Bedtime has become a shit show here, with the 4 and 2/yo. I've basically had to become militant with an ice cold heart.

I've resorted to laying with my 3yo and it's been life changing. I'll only stay with her if she's quiet and laying still. She's usually asleep within 10-15 minutes.
It's a bad habit to get into and will probably bite me in the ass, but it's so much better than the nightly hours long battles.

I bring my tablet and she chooses 3 songs to listen to and then I leave. It was a process to get there but it's so much better than the hour plus gong show it was.

I did this with DD when I was pregnant (she was the same age as yours). She had to wait quietly in bed for 10-15 minutes while I got ready for bed and then I'd snuggle with her. Most of the time she was asleep by then, but worst case scenario I got snuggles.
