I've resorted to laying with my 3yo and it's been life changing. I'll only stay with her if she's quiet and laying still. She's usually asleep within 10-15 minutes.
It's a bad habit to get into and will probably bite me in the ass, but it's so much better than the nightly hours long battles.
I did this with DD when I was pregnant (she was the same age as yours). She had to wait quietly in bed for 10-15 minutes while I got ready for bed and then I'd snuggle with her. Most of the time she was asleep by then, but worst case scenario I got snuggles.
No lasting harm was done.
That's good to hear. I've actually been enjoying it. It's the only quiet time I get with her.
I just got off work and now I'm dancing to Beyoncé in my kitchen. Haven't even had a drink just felt the need for some sexy dancing and to share it with you fine people.
I know Larry happened. Please do not try to convince me otherwise. Please don't talk to me about coffee. I don't drink it. I don't caffeine. When I state my opinion, that is me chiming in on a topic. This is not me saying you suck at life if you do or feel differently. If I want to say that, I will. If I want to speak on you, I will.
