Hi. That's all I got. Want to go back to sleep but missy wakes up every time I try to get comfy.
WFH today and I'm so exited bc I missed them yesterday while I was in the office. It's supposed to be 64* and sunny so I imagine we will be out for a walk !
I need to figure out what to bring gift wise for a 1yr old girls bday party this weekend.

It's supposed to be a gorgeous day here, too. 74 and sunny. I'll be going for a run this evening for sure. It was way too hot yesterday. We have a craft in the park for Mardi Gras. The kids are making masks with paper plates, glitter glue, paint, stickers, and ribbon. I probably should get up and get myself ready to go out for that. Nothing else major today. Maybe we'll go to Home Depot and get some tile so I can pick what I want. We'll see where the day takes us.
I'm excited for the weekend. We are going out to a town in the hill country tomorrow to shop and wine taste. It should be relaxing and it's supposed to be a gorgeous day.
kleigh I second the pop-up tunnel recommendation. Santa brought one from Target (Circo brand) when DS was 1 and he still plays with that thing.
vinolove I hear you, I feel like the days are just crammed full lately. I had a guy here yesterday giving me an estimate and I felt like I couldn't put two words together, I was so scattered and thinking about 10 different things at once. He probably thought I was an idiot or on something.
Not much on our agenda today, just some housework and mailing MIL's birthday gift. I got a lot done yesterday and took a meal to my aunt who just had wrist surgery, but I was so exhausted by the end of the day. I went to bed immediately after C went down b/n 9-10 and I did not wake up until she did shortly after 7. It was glorious.
We tried H in the exersaucer. He's not quite big enough (had to put a blanket around him to keep from tipping) but he seems to like it.
I thought about bringing up the jumperoo because he seems to be getting bored in the sit me up sometimes. He loves standing right now. I just don't know where to put yet another item.

C just took a 40 minute nap and I managed to do laundry, make coffee and breakfast AND actually eat it hot! I feel accomplished.
Today is supposed to be 66 and rainy all day but it was just sunny. If it stays dry out, we'll maybe go for a walk. I just hate taking the dog for a walk when the streets are wet because she gets all gross. It was a logistical nightmare the first time I took them for a walk because I needed to wipe the dog down but the baby was crying and I didn't know what to do with the stroller.
Tomorrow we're going to the Eric Church concert with some friends and meeting up early to go to this amazing BBQ place that is always busy. C will be going to my parents house all day and staying the night there.
Hi all! Morning started out by getting a call from DH's fire department saying there was a need for assistance on the scene of a structure fire. I'm part of a non-profit auxiliary group to the department (basically all the wives are). Whenever they have a pretty involved fire we get asked to provide a hot meal for the guys either on the scene or back at the station. So the kids and I pack up and get on the road. I called a nearby restaurant to see if they'd donate food to us and they seemed hesitant to do it at first. Fast forward 5 mins when I get a call from the police dispatcher asking if I called about food. Turns out the owner of the restaurant thought it was all a scam and called PD. It all got worked out in the end and the restaurant donated eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes and bread for toast all for free!!! Brought it to the station and got to see H in the process! We're home now and just taking it easy for the rest of the day since it's cold and rainy out. No plans except to fold some laundry later. Decent Friday so far!

Thank you to everyone who suggested gifts for a 1 yo. I've started a Christmas shopping list and am always looking for ideas to add to it.
Wow, J!! waitwhat what an awesome night of sleep. Maybe he can FaceTime with M later and let her know that it is ok to STTN! Maybe if she thinks all the cool babies are doing it she'll stop with the FOMO.
Your day sounds like so much fun ClassyMrsA. I looked and we have NO mom groups in my area. I wish I wasn't so introverted so that I was brave enough to start my own.
I'm so glad H likes the exersaucer danib! I hope it gives you some much needed time for yourself.
Damn tgrimes1980, I was hoping that he'd be over it by now. FX it stops this weekend. I was so so so sick of poop by the time it was over.
That sounds like an amazing morning goldenlove3! What a strong boy C is! He looks so pleased with himself!
What a morning tjanca22!! I hope breakfast was yummy after all their hard work.
I am sitting here laughing out loud but may start crying momentarily, haha.
The plumber just left (note: do not trust DH with plumbing issues in the future). He was kind of handsome? Really nice gray eyes, looked Italian or Greek, wearing one of those old-school caps. This is straight out of a bad romance novel/mom fantasy, right? I'm texting my mom about it, nursing C, and I notice B rubbing at something on the couch. He steps away and there's a wet spot.
Me: "B, what is that? Where did it come from?" B: "Um, it's from my mouth."
Drool? WTF. About this time, C pulls away and spits up all over me.
Don't worry, DH, our marriage is safe. I don't think anyone else, plumber included, would run off into the sunset with me and the kids at this point.
D and I just got back from having lunch with a few people from my firm. I think they're looking forward to having me back. TBH I'm kind of looking forward to it too. I think I may go into the office a few days in March just to ease myself back in.
I had to wake D from her morning nap in order to get to lunch in time, and then she passed out for about 20 minutes at the restaurant in my arms, so she's definitely in need of a solid nap this afternoon. So far she's been a doll though. Let's hope it stays that way!
TGIF! I survived my first week back to work. I was in bed by 9pm every day this week. I never felt like I had pregnancy brain but mommy brain is no joke. I had to pause mid sentence a few times this week because I couldn't remember something.
C did well at daycare this week. He took his bottles like a champ. He is still adjusting to sleep though. Poor guy fell asleep on our way home last night. He basically slept from 5pm to 5:30am and only woke up to eat.
I'm impressed with the skills of these N16 babies. C can hold his head up really well but is lacking on some tummy skills. We skipped tummy time for 3 weeks due to his incision. This weekend is going to focus on tummy time. C is also going to get his first bath in almost a month!
