I just got my first 'you must be close!' comment. From an older woman who appeared to be a medical professional (while I hang near the lab waiting to get my blood drawn for my glucose test). Ugh. I tried to smile and said 'nope, just my third kid.' It's going to be another long few months!

We were going to visit MH's best friend this weekend to celebrate the birth of his baby girl, so I made four swaddling blankets & a nursing scarf and got everything packed & ready to go. MH now has a cold and it is a man cold. DS and I are feeling fine, but we decided we should not potentially bring a cold into a house with a week-old baby. I am disappointed, partly because I did so much to get ready, but especially because it will now be another two weeks (or more) before we have a free weekend. Oh well. Not getting the new baby sick is by far more important.
My first birth month group from DD is having a GTG in Nashville (just moms) this weekend, but DH is away this weekend so I couldn't go. I was super disappointed, but knew he had this weekend away on the calendar for months so made no big deal about it. My husband is the best though. He made me homemade apple pastry things and caramel sauce. He had them both in the fridge with a note on how much to heat them and to eat one per night until he gets home. Just what I needed
Up drinking coffee with DH while the kids are still sleeping. MIL and FIL are watching the kids for a couple hours today so DH and I can grab some lunch. Not sure what else we will do. We are super exciting over here lol
My coworkers have known for at least 2 months and lately I've been noticing their lingering stares at my belly. Like yup, it's there, it's only going to get bigger...
Random question: anyone's rings getting tight? STMs, when did you take your rings off (if you did at all)?
I had to take the ring I wear on my right hand off, but my wedding ring still fits. (I think that's only because I had it resized about 2 months after C was born because I missed wearing it.) This morning is snug but is still easy to take off and put back on, last night it was loose. Don't compare to me, but in my 1st pregnancy my rings were gone a month ago. (But I also swelled super early and really bad.)

Mine mostly seem tight in the morning and then normal later in the day so I hope to keep them on awhile longer. Also hoping all the meals out I ate this week which I'm sure were high in sodium made it worse and it will get better next week.
We are going to look at houses. We saw one yesterday we both kind of fell in love with but want to see all our options before deciding for sure. It makes me super hopeful we can be in the new house by End of March/early April!

cateyes fingers crossed. So much credit to you for going through the process right now. I love looking at houses but it's different when you actually have to buy one. Keep us posted. I forget what area you live in but I know where I live (Boston-ish) the market is crazy and you don't have much time to act on a decision.

Mine have gotten tighter sooner with each pregnancy. I can also wear mine later in the day but they're hard to get on in the morning. I bought myself a pretty fake ring on Amazon that is a little bigger than my normal ones
Today is busy. I'm working up the motivation to go run. Inside, because it's snowing for the first time since mid-December. We are having lunch with friends who are also expecting at a Greek restaurant. Then a Cajun cooking event for dinner with my colleagues.

teachermomtobe with my previous pregnancy, I had to stop wearing my engagement ring about 2 months before my due date, but was still able to wear my wedding band (which is a 1/4 size bigger than my engagement ring) all the way until probably the last week. DS was born in July, so the Texas summer heat didn't help with the swelling at the end... With this one, it looks like I'm on a similar timeline - they're starting to get a little tight at times, but mainly still fit.

DS woke up this morning with what appears to be pink eye, so it looks like it'll be a relatively quiet weekend at home now. I desperately need to go grocery shopping since we were gone all week, but it's cold outside and DH built a cozy fire and I don't want to get off the couch.
We picked a house!!!! We put the offer in right away because H saw another couple looking at the house and it was what he needed to pull the trigger. This is a good thing because he can be so damn indecisive so I am glad we agreed and moved forward. The market is not super competitive here (avg house listing is like 120 days) but I would hate to miss the opportunity! Hopefully close end of March/early April and that gives us plenty of time to move and settle before Bug comes (as long as he doesn't try to come early!)

teachermomtobe - last time, I had to stop wearing my wedding ring during the last two months or so (late July baby). I bought a cheap fake last time, but I think I'll buy another one this time around. The last one is a little too big and gaudy for me now.
cateyes - congrats on picking a house and putting in an offer! Is it the one you loved or a new one from today that you love equally or better?
I didn't totally love it from pics but We saw it yesterday and loved it in person but didn't want to jump before seeing the others. We went back again today and saw it again just to check.

With DD I remember I had to stop wearing my rings by about 18 weeks. I feel like I started swelling earlier then because of the summer heat. This time I stopped wearing them just a few weeks ago.
