H is going to see his niece in a play this evening and A and I are staying home!!! It doesn't start until 7 and they live an hour away. Plus I don't agree with his sisters life choices, how she treats people so I prefer to not be around her. His niece was an out of control kid when I met her and was very disrespectful, I fully believe it was a result of her home life, but she never let me in. I'm glad H is going for her and I'm happy he's good with me not going. Plus I get the TV to myself once A goes to bed!!!
My parents have been here for a few days and just left. I think I'm grumpy both because I miss them and because all my energy has been sucked by having extra people in the house.
I threw a big hissy fit for DH and am hiding out in the bedroom while he half-assed kept kids contained. After a failed nap, I have been making multiple to-do lists (work, home, school, upcoming project, etc) and it makes me feel slightly less grumpy and slightly more sane.
We are in Hagersville, Ontario. The middle of absolutely NOWHERE!
You need to learn the true definition of middle of nowhere! Hagersville is right in the middle of everything. If you want to see middle of nowhere, Google Manitouwadge, you will feel differently about that comment.
Do any of you married ladies with student loans file taxes separately from your husbands? My student loan payments are going up from $50 to $230 this year because we filed jointly last year. This is a huge hit for us and now I'm rethinking our plan this year...
My sister and her H do for this reason too.
H and I looked into it, but the tax difference was worse, for us, than the payment difference.
Grocery shopping on a Saturday should be outlawed. Holy mother of pearl, people everywhere! Then my SIL asked me if we're having a birthday party for DS1 (actual birthday is Wednesday) because her invitation hasn't made it to her yet. Cue freak out that the very few people we even invite won't know to show up. I started crying because guilt. Now I'm "in the shower" for an undetermined amount of time.

Woooo I lost even more weight! I'm in a 'normal' range for bmi, so exciting!
I got 2 calls from work and a text about 15 minutes before shift started. I called back thinking there was a trauma or something and they needed me to come then. Nope, there was a chocolate emergency and they wanted me to pick up cake on the way in. They even called the orders ahead of time and one of the girls parents own the bakery so she covered the cost for all of it. I appreciate the cake, but way to make me freak out.

I love the book @wafflesfriendswork! We also do not have hbo and I am so sad. I want to watch it so bad.
Also, DH is getting the remainder of his loans forgiven, I assume through the same government program you are speaking of. We thought his loans would be done in June/July but it will be October. NBD but I am so looking forward to having that payment done. His application was already turned in and accepted. I see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Holy moly!! A has been napping for >4.5 hours!!! Poor girl needed it. I'm going to wake her at the 5 hour mark, but she's always been the kid that sleeps better when she naps longer. I think her fevers are finally gone and her body is just wiped. Don't worry H and I took advantage of our alone time. I love nap time sexy time!! Even more excited for my night alone 🙂

We went to this weird old mansion/petting zoo in Santa Clarita today and I couldn't stop thinking about Snata Clarita Diet (the show with drew Barrymore on Netflix). Then I used the yelp filters for a restaurant with a full bar" and "good for kids" and we ended up at a restaurant with this painting above our table:
Also, Bill ordered in Spanish... which was either super cute or vaguely racist. I can't tell. He also called the buffalo we saw at the park "fuzzy cow" so maybe he's just confused.

yeah I'm afraid our deck is going to get more destroyed from these winds. We have 2 railings out and the large rubbermaid storage box (with bricks in it weighing it down) blew off the side where there is no railing. I can hear other things blow around out there too now. I'm afraid to check and see if anything is really bad. We've lived here for 2 years and have never had such destructive winds!

One of my patients has been here for 2 months now. He has called me Brittany since day one. At first I didn't really notice because he has a thick accent and it sounded similar to Courtney. Now I know for sure he's saying Brittany and I don't have it in me to correct him. Looks like I'm going by both names around here now.
ncjulia12, that event sounds like a horrible disaster! Comical though!
mrsbeachcat, hooray for Bill being bilingual, but I'm weirded out by the photo! I really need some Mexican food right now. Maybe I can convince H to go to Chipotle for lunch tomorrow. Or the local burrito place (although all their meat is shredded, which is not my first choice).
