Add me to the "beautiful 77° yesterday & cold 45° today" group. DSs birthday party is at 3 today, hoping the kids ignore the cold & play outside as planned.
This is fair. I think each person could have had their own movie- there was definitely more to tell. BUT I still really enjoyed the movie and learned things from it as well. The book of course goes into a lot more detail.
It really bothered and disappointed me that they made it more palatable. But I'm not surprised. Leaving out details--well, of course. Changing the story so the white people seem more like heroes? Nah.

H has DS at ball tryouts now, & DD2 & I are working a cookie booth from 12-2, then have to race around town to pick up cake & pizzas for DSs party at 3.
The co-leader for our GS troop basically bailed on me this weekend & planned a trip OOT & stuck me working the cookie booth alone. It's been a crazy month & we are all over it & need a break but I am side eyeing her for up & taking off like she did. She cancled all of our booths last weekend bc she needed a break & now this. Not cool.
We've all been up since 6:30. MH & I are drinking coffee while DD watches a cartoon. No plans today until 2, when DD has a birthday party to attend (right during nap, but it's her BFF at preschool, so we are going).
We just finished a Good Eats about tamales, so of course I want to make some. Maybe tomorrow.
Kids have swim lessons in two hours and they're still sleeping so I'm going to enjoy getting ready and putting make up on in peace. Then we shall hit up target and Costco. During nap time I'll probably head to the gym since I didn't make it yesterday.
The high today is 50 but it feels amazing right now at 30. I drove with my windows down and the breeze was great. I think I'll send DD outside to play later this afternoon and maybe go for a run.
DS has a playdate today and I'm having anxiety. We haven't done this yet. At last night's school fundraiser, we ran into a classmate and his mother and she invited DS over for this afternoon and gave me her number. So at some point I need to call. Or text? And I don't know whether I'm supposed to stay. Or what's a normal length of time. Aargh.

We went out last night and stayed out until 2AM. I don't remember the last time that happened. Fast forward to this morning.
DD1: Mom? Come play with me? Me: I'll be up in a minute. Go back in the living room. *repeats three times* *i get up* DD1 gives me a hug and proceeds to play independently for annhour until her sister gets up. Couldn't you have done this while I as sleeping? Did you just want an audience?

I'm feeding my kid a deconstructed peanut butter sandwich, which is just bread with a spoonful of peanut butter. Since she likes to open up sandwiches and eat them peanut butter first, it's just cleaner this way.

I would text.
Depending on how old the kids are, I'd aim for 2ish hours for a first time playdate.
I wouldn't stay personally, but your comfort level and whether or not she invites you to stay would be the determining factors there.

My SIL has decided to start selling LLR with friends of hers. I'm pretty sure this is going to be an epic failure and go down in flames for many reasons.
One of which is that she's a control freak and is trying to sell LLR with TWO friends, one of whom has a mental illness. And I know my brother will expect is to buy from her (I do like some of their stuff occasionally) but I can't buy big foot leggings or $60 dresses all the time!

I bought some boots on amazon that were supposed to be wide calf. Well they came yesterday. $160 and lots of years later, they're not wide ENOUGH calf! 😭
