I just woke up in a panic because it's almost 9am and L is still asleep. Went to check on her and she appears to be breathing fine, so I guess she's just needing some extra rest to kick whatever sickness she's dealing with.
I have a feeling today will be fairly low key in our house. Between a sick baby and DH wanting to chill after a week of being on for a work conference, we'll probably just be home watching movies and relaxing. Can't say I mind that one bit.
I'm writing thank you cards this morning and cleaning the house. I think we will go to church tonight so we don't have to bother in the morning. Tomorrow we will make pasta, taquitos, and meatballs for the freezer, and do some other errands. Super fun weekend here lol

I finally had to wake up L at 9:40am. I'm not sure who replaced my daughter with this late sleeping baby. Her temp is only 99.4 and she's much less lethargic today, thank goodness. DH took SS to taekwondo and I just finished a super healthy breakfast of cinnamon sugar toast and coke. I gave L a pouch to eat and she decided it was much better to fling it around, so now I have to clean fruit purée off various areas of my dining room.
Hey ladies! I ended up working on some party stuff last night after I put S to bed. I stayed up pretty late so DH let me sleep in. I'm working on getting S down for a nap and then I'm leaving to run errands. I need to a few last things for the party and pick up S's cake. Tonight we are going to my sister's house because she is having a birthday dinner for her twins. Their birthday is later this week.

We were up at 6 because fuck sleep apparently. He passed out in the car after swimming which is screwing with his afternoon nap. He's been in his crib for 20 minutes but isn't crying. Just babbles and alternating between sitting, laying down and standing. Going to wait a bit more and hopefully then go get some groceries and animal stuff. Tomorrow will be cleaning and meal prep likely. I'm so tired though. The last few weeks have been exhausting

I heard rumors that Christina is coming back? But those rumors were a while back and I haven't heard much since.
Old Grey's is definitely better. But like many have said, I've watched so much of it now I can't give it up!
Our household has slowly been taken out by a stomach bug. DD started it on Wednesday night with one big giant puke on her bed. I was taken down like 20 minutes later and proceeded to puke on and off for 4 or 5 hours. I'm still queasy but mostly better. DD didn't puke again, but then woke up with a fever Friday morning. Not sure if it's related. All better this morning though, thank goodness. MH was taken down with the puking shortly after I stopped (logistically made things much easier, that's for sure). DS apparently held out until this morning. He's only puked once, so hopefully it'll be as short and merciful as it was with DD. For now he's very cheerfully toting around a home depot 5 gallon bucket just in case.
MH is leaving for most of the week tomorrow so I really need all these germs gone.
And it's flipping beautiful out and I want to enjoy it!

musicalsilver it sounds very similar to what we had here last week. And then I had to miss out on the beautiful weekend weather because there was so much cleaning to do that couldn't wait.
Getting ready for the party has been tiring but it went really well this morning and I'm glad we did it. We had thunderstorms and heavy rain as we were packing up so I was soaked by the time we got home. Better on the way home than heading in!
I also stayed up way later than expected last night as I found a job competition I really wanted in on but it closed at midnight. Then I still had to decorate the cake!
I got S a smartrike, her party is not at our house. Should I wrap it as is or assemble it?
Would it be feasible to transport all set up (is it a lot bigger)? It would look cute all set up with a bow on it and then you could get pics of her with it right away as opposed to her maybe not getting excited/the concept of it from the box.

Hi ladies, had our birthday party today. It went great, baby had so much fun. Thankfully Tamiflu kicked in just in time for her to enjoy it. She cried so much going to bed tonight though. Super overtired and overstimulated, plus she banged her mouth on the tub and it was bleeding just before bed so that didn't help. Poor thing needs a good sleep. Can't believe she is turning one tomorrow!
I took the kids for a drive, then hit up the mall. They were being super cute with each other while in the double stroller. Saying hi (or waving in C's case) to literally everyone. But once I returned the stroller to the service center in the mall, A decided to bolt. Luckily she ran in the direction going into the mall, and not the parking lot. Trying to chase her with C in my arms was difficult but I eventually got her cornered with a speed walk. She made up for it by having a 4 hour nap once we got home. C had a 3 hour nap too. Thank you kids.
Other than that, I made it to the gym this evening right after the kids went to bed. Third time this week! I'm hoping I can keep it up in future weeks. At least twice a week.
Finally after 2 days of non stop doing stuff and prepping for this trip, I'm in bed. I've done all I can do. Alarm is set for 3:15 am. 😴
Of course the day before we leave DD starts a little temp. Sigh. No other symptoms, finger in mouth some today and just clingy, so hopefully it's just a tooth. But really hope it holds off and she can be normal for my mom. I'd hate for her to be feeling crummy while I'm gone. All the anxiety.
I haven't watched Grey's for so long. I just couldn't anymore. Are Meredith and Carev getting together? I saw some article, wasn't sure if it was true or not.

I hope not. They are more like brother and sister at this point. He is the only other one left from the original group of interns.
I think I need to get my yearly check up scheduled. I feel like my body is all sorts of weird lately and should probably have my iud checked or something. Boo on you, womanhood.

I just decided to assemble it. It's not too much bigger than the box, and I remembered we will have 2 vehicles at the party so we should have plenty of room to bring everything home.
Morning! S just woke up for the day. She came into my bed at some point in the night, but that's ok. I'm going to be playing the "last year at this time..." game all day in my head. I'm going to hop in the shower and then it will probably be go go go until 6 tonight.

Our children are testing our patience today. L is needy as all get out and It's like pulling teeth to get SS to focus on his book report project. I'm going to wine and make tomato sauce from scratch.

I hope you get a nice quiet break once they go to bed. Days like that seem to go on forever. Why can't the cute, fun days with happy babies go that slowly?!
