Today we are stuck inside. No plans to leave our warm house. For breakfast I made chocolate chip pancakes topped with banana slices. I've also been busy changing poopy diapers and washing poop off pjs. I'll spare you those pics and just show alex in his cute outfit. It's his favorite cause it hides his muffin top.
Abigail went almost 8 hours last night. She woke up crying twice but by the time I had my glasses on she had soothed herself back to sleep. I just need my boobs to adjust to these longer night stretches so I don't have to pump in the morning.
We're over here trying to take a morning nap. Followed our ideal schedule yesterday and sleep got a little better. I've learned I must protect the schedule at all costs, even when other people are giving me grief about it. (i.e. my mom)

So, we spent the morning at the pediatrician because DS woke up with this insane rash all over his face. Basically, his cradle cap became cradle face. We now have an antibiotic cream and hopefully it's going to clear up fast. He is totally unphased by it. On the other hand, I am traumatized.
lola, love that headband! I'm also a sticker for the schedule, much to the dismay of my MIL. Whatever, it makes my life so much easier!
The headband is so ridiculous and I love it.
My mom keeps saying I should try to stretch between feedings during the day and let her sleep longer during naps. Tried that, and she slept all day and was up every two hours at night. Unless you're going to get up with me every time I feed her, keep that to yourself.
requiressnacks oh gosh that is crazy. Does the cream go on his head too?
Yup. He is basically a giant greaseball because they want me to do the antibiotic cream and then cover it with aquaphor or Vaseline.
@kc295905 the doc recommended Vaseline or Aquaphor, but s said to stay away from typical lotions. Luckily he doesn't seem to care! Also, I got the shampoo and brush from Amazon too. Luckily, she didn't think that's what caused it to spread. It just got infected somehow.
So DH ended up not being sick. He was tired. (He stayed out til after midnight playing soccer the other night. They have ridiculously late games. I made him get up with baby him at 4:45. You can play soccer, you can feed baby!) so I'm guessing that's why he was so tired. I do it every single night buddy! Get the eff over it.
I made it to the bridal shower. It was really nice and the bridesmaids did a beautiful job. But now there's severe thunderstorms, so I'm not going to be able to make it to my friend's house. It's across a really long bridge and there's 70 mph winds and ping pong size hail with the storms. So my time with friends is ruined and I'm stuck here in the house with no outings in sight. I'm really upset about this.

Here's a picture of the bridge. It's 4 1/2 miles. Good thing I didn't go. I just checked and one lane is closed in the direction I was heading due to an accident with traffic backing up. I hate going slowly over it. Little fear of bridges. 😬

I think we're hitting the 12 week growth spurt here (he's 11 1/2 weeks) - I'm feeding N for the 3rd time in 3 hours, and each time he acts desperately hungry like he hasn't eaten all evening. I hope he gives us at least a reasonable chunk of sleep tonight!
Abigail fell asleep in the k'tan and stayed asleep in the carseat so we were able to go out to dinner after a home depot run. I'm so happy she will sleep in the carseat.
How do you know when it's time to raise the straps in the carseat?
@cahistoryteacher, while the seat is rear facing, the straps should be below the shoulders. So maybe if you were to move the straps up to the next notch and they're above the shoulders then you would know it's not time yet. Once the seat is forward facing, the straps should be at or above the shoulders (but obviously not loose).

I'm up nursing D. I feel bad. I think sometimes it comes out too fast for him, especially on the right side. He was choking. I sat him up and he coughed and sprayed it from his mouth to my face.
Hurry up baby. Im sooooo thirsty and need to go get a drink.
At least on the weekends when I've been getting up during the night, DH gets up in the am with DS1 and 2 while baby and I sleep. They've been getting up around 7. Not too bad, but a couple days I slept on and off until 7:30/8 and yesterday was 8:30. Yawn. So I am thankful for that.

6:57 am - DS1 says he and DS2 would like a bagel for breakfast and some cereal while they wait for it.
I got up to nurse baby instead of using a bottle in the fridge and figure I'll just go to mass at 8 am and get it over with. I foresee a nap or at least rest in my future.
The boys friends who didn't show up last week arrive at 2.

requiressnacks that looks like a perfect sunday morning to me! mrswillie fx you get a good long nap in today. I was up last night too. Alex seems to have trouble staying asleep after his 3 am feed these days.
