I was going to suggest a crinkle cutter. Probably not quite yet without direct supervision, but 3-4 year olds can usually use them safely with soft foods like bananas and strawberries.
DD just uses it normal kitchen stuff. We don't let her use steal knives or anything crazy like that, but she does fine cutting soft stuff with a butter knife.
I do wish we'd invested in a sturdier/taller step stool for her, but the bathroom one works well enough and we don't have the space for anything bigger.
I had to double check but Curious Chef is what we have too. My folks bought him the 27-piece foundation set because they like teaching him to cook. Then we've bought the knives as well.
