sophiegrace I just spit out my water. That's amazing!
Let me tell you though, if that 'something' had been a clean kitchen and folded laundry my pants would have been on the ground in the blink of an eye.
OMG you're killing me lol. Sooooooooooo true.
Um unless it's a restocked diaper bag, a scrubbed shower, or a gdamn candlelit steak and wine dinner and soundproof sleeping chamber, I don't wanna see it.
kleigh, yes he's in a co-sleeper! For the past couple of weeks he's been waking up crying but when he's fully awake, he's happy again!?! He still fights naps! No tv or computer in bedroom, I read off my iPad but it never faces him and it's in night mode all the time. By the time he's fussy, it's been asleep for 20 minutes or more! He seems to fight the halo swaddle but he doesn't sleep at all when not swaddled. Go figure!
sophiegrace, thanks! I am supposed to be cow dairy free for myself due to intolerance but I love cheese, and cereal, and yogurt! I'm supposed to be on a paleo diet with my intolerances but I love sugar, and bread, and mushrooms, etc.
dashook, sorry I wrote this earlier and never hit send, the time it takes to be seen is a downside of living in the middle of nowhere! Plus with my doctor being away this week, I'm just stuck!
starbuck27 I'm so glad you have a plan, and I really hope it helps lighten your load.
Also, the day I realize I won't ever be pregnant again is going to be a really bad day for me. We're still definitely hoping for more but I guess you can never really know what's in store. I can imagine it's strange to have feelz about it when you have been sure you're done though. Hugs, friend.
Are you guys planning one more? I can't remember. I was really surprised at myself. Twin pregnancy was not fun I thought for sure I was over it. Maybe when I go back to work FT I should retrain to do ultrasounds or something.
At least one more. Ideally we want 4 but that is a bit ambitious with our ages and career plans. Not impossible though. It's funny, because I am sooooo incredibly happy and satisfied with our foursome right now, but I don't have that "done" feeling at all. Every piece of baby clothing is still being folded carefully away into boxes labeled by size and gender
Omfg I love you guys. These H stories have me rolling.
I'm so glad mine isn't the only one who has somewhat forgotten his power of seduction. I almost want to tell him about this thread so he will know he's not alone. But that would mean admitting that I had this conversation with you all and I'm not willing to do that!
It's sad that I can't even remember H's seduction strategy. I think he usually just starts walking excessively slowly towards the stairs, kinda looking back at me, maybe a fake throat clear. It's been a while.
My strategy is "wanna go upstairs upstairs?" The double upstairs let's him know it's for fun, not for bed.

I have seriously considered doing some Pavlov shit with H before. I was wondering if I could condition him to take care of the baby or do housework with the reward of sex or other things. But then I figured that was mean and could easily backfire.
Also re: more kids. I'll be pushing it in age, but I can't imagine having a 3rd without at least 2 years between E and a next one. Ideally 2.5 years.
But there's still time for someone to have a set of Irish twins. Whose it gonna be people??
We apparently had unprotected fertility window sex this week. I'm only like 5% worried though since that was our chance of conceiving naturally before haha.

1, 2, 3 not it!
I do have that done feeling I didn't have after Lillian. I think if I didn't have to be pregnant and give birth I'd be down for more, maybe. But every time I try to imagine doing it all again, my stomach turns over with dread. That's probably a bad sign. And I don't feel super sad about it. It's weird that part of my life is probably over, but I feel somewhat relieved. I didn't realize how much I disliked being pregnant until I did it twice.
My mom says once Lilah is older, she thinks I'll want another. She wants me to want another. I think there are many people who want me to. Not sure why I have to be the broodmare for both sides of the family.
To be clear, I'm super happy I have my girls and I'd do the pregnancy and birth thing over and over if I had to in order to have them. I'm having so much fun watching them grow up and every day is a gift. I just don't want a 3rd baby (pregnancy).
Can you imagine if I ended up with a set of real twins that are Irish twins with another baby (or set of twins). And with that second set of twins one was born one day at like 11:55pm and the other on the following day at like12:01am.
I just remembered my cousins are Irish twins (moms brother). This is amazing. So when people ask if twins run in my family (um daily) I can say yes and sorta-kinda not be lying. (Fully aware that Irish twins are not genetic btw people).
ETA I usuqlly lie and say yes rather than launch into personal infertility details

I often think about having twins with different birth days!
Also, I was watching one of those birth shows (I can't remember what they were called) and a couple had 3 sets of twins. They said they didn't go through IF treatments either.
jubilantsquirrel I was confident we were going to have AV and AB on different days since I started pushing around 10:30p-11p and was progressing very fast when I was allowed to begin pushing. If they didn't stop me to bring me to the OR (which was a total mindf*ck) I'm sure it would've happened!

I just read an article where a couple had a baby in January, got pregnant with twins right away (she didn't think she could get pregnant while breastfeeding) and had them in December. So 3 babies in the same year.

I read that one too. Three under one. No thank you.

Not trying to play the one-up game, buuut... I know of a fellow Navy spouse who had a baby and got pregnant with TRIPLETS when the baby was around 4 months old. Of course the triplets came early so she had four under 1.

I literally think I'd run away from home.
Omg! Did they even have any family around to help being a navy family?

That's how I found out about her...she was posting in a FB group I'm in b/c they were on the east coast (maybe an hour or so from family) and being transferred to the west coast, where they knew no one; she was pregnant at the time with the triplets and obviously reeling, and was wondering if anyone had ever been in similar circumstances and if they were able to get some sort of exemption from the Navy to stay put. IIRC they did end up having to move.
