How is it going? It's going really well. It's still something I love and I look forward to the snuggles and quiet time with DD. I'm sad it'll be over sooner than later
Any challenges? Anything getting easier? Any changes? She's definitely nursing less, but still frequently.
Any questions for the other mamas? Not at the moment.
How often do you nurse/ provide a bottle? We nurse every 4ish hours, day and night. We are starting to go a little longer and skip some here and there, mostly after nap.
How is nighttime going? We've had dh take a few wake ups, but nothing hard core. She typically nurses once or twice overnight.
Share a perk/ positive thing/ funny story about BFing! I love how it just makes her world right.
What is your BFing goal? No goals at this point. I'm going oot in may so that may be the end of it.
Do you still pump? How much? We haven't introduced whole milk or any other substitutes. She gets water in a straw cup a few times a day. I should fill it with milk....
She nurses just about every 4 hrs day and night and the rest is made up with sippy of milk or water. Night time is a little better the past week or two. Wake ups are back down to 2/night. I can handle that.... kind of. It is totally the way it just makes the whole world right that keeps me going. My goal is to wean totally by June. But I feel like we might not make that unless I force the issue and I dont want a battle. So whatever. I gave away the pump. So that's done at least.

How is it going? Good! DD still wants to nurse and I'm good as long as she is.
Any challenges? Anything getting easier? Any changes? Wish I could get rid of the pumping but she hasn't fully transitioned to WCM when I'm away from her. I pump 2x a day 3 x a week when I am at work so it's not horrendous. Sometimes I do get busy and distracted and completely forget to pump.
Any questions for the other mamas? Not at the moment...
How often do you nurse/ provide a bottle? She nurses 3-4 times a day still.
How is nighttime going? I'm so scared I'm going to jinx this but nighttime is good. I nurse before bed but not fully to sleep anymore. She is putting herself to sleep in her crib and wakes up around 4am (she fusses once in awhile before that but usually puts herself back to sleep). I grab her and nurse her in our bed and she will sleep another 2-3 hours. (**Knock on Wood**)
Share a perk/ positive thing/ funny story about BFing! Like you all, it makes the world right again. If she is cranky or starts her one whine, I know she needs booby milk. She seems to think nursing is a gymnastic sport these days. Sometimes I'm afraid she is going to fall off of my lap she is so wiggly and flips her legs around every which way. Or she strokes my face and neck. That is sweet. Being a human cow jungle gym is not.
What is your BFing goal? I'm just seeing how things go at this point.
Do you still pump? How much? 2x a day 3 days a week when I go into the office.
It's still going well for us. We generally nurse in the morning, after work, and before bed.
I've basically weaned from the pump, and he is now offered wcm with his morning and afternoon snack (and lunch too, I think) but he doesn't drink too much of it yet.
I have noticed that since I've started weaning, my supply has gone down a commensurate amount, and so has my ability to burn calories! No more eating anything I want, unfortunately.
I'm travelling for work Thursday - Sunday this week, so hopefully I'll still be able to pump enough to replace what breastmilk he drinks. I have a 15 day work trip at the beginning of May, and I have just enough freezer stash for him to have two bottles per day during that time. I plan to keep pumping then too, so that we can keep nursing when I get back. I plan to go for as long as he's still interested and it's still working for us.
Oh man the thing I will miss most about BFing (other than snuggles) is the calorie cushion!!!! That was for real. Also I have never been so hungry as I was while deep in the BFing. Someone told me that but I had no idea.
