I love that combo @kelsz12 !
I feel bad. We never really did a nursery theme with A just because he was early and then we were in the nicu with him so it wasn't a priority after he was born (His big boy room is pirate themed though). So we basically have a blank slate with this one.
I don't know if I want to just go gender neutral or wait a few more weeks until the anatomy scan

Very pretty color scheme @kelsz12 !
I am planning on doing a pirate theme with navy, teal, gray, and white. We have teal curtains in that room already, so I'm trying to incorporate that color in there. We are converting our office into the nursery and there are wooden beams on the ceiling, so I'm hoping that will tie in ok too. I am hoping to recreate the ship crib picture and I'm in the middle of working on a quilt (my first one!) that kinda looks like the one pictured, but it has some gray in it.

@kelsz12, I love that color scheme! I think we're going with navy, aqua, and grey (we'll see if coral makes an appearance) since it works with what we already have going on in our bedroom. I am thinking of doing a very subtle nod to an underwater theme which we'd bring in with fabrics and artwork.
My mom and MIL will be making the bedding since mini crib bedding is surprisingly expensive (especially for two!) so I want to give them enough time to get started. I'll update after next week's anatomy scan with a definitive color scheme =)
ETA wish they made this smaller because this is along the lines of what I'm thinking.
I also saw this on Etsy and thought it was a cute and subtle nod to twins.

Thanks kelsz12
Here are some other pins I have saved. I've been saving ideas since I found out I was pregnant. I was so certain this one was a boy that I didn't even look at girl nursery ideas.
We will just be using the stuff that is currently in DD1s room. She has a woodland theme and we chose it since it was gender neutral and could be used again. But, really it's just the crib bedding and quilt hung on the wall. We need to move her out of the crib, but I'm in no rush though. I want to do carousel theme for her new stuff, but I'm not sure if we are going to go toddler bed or twin.

We have a convertible bed from Ikea that goes from toddler to twin with everything included. We also liked it because it was low to the ground and easy for DS to climb in and out.
I have no clue. I've looked through Pinterest and nothing is grabbing my attention. DH doesn't really get the whole theme thing so he isn't much help either.

DS had a forest themed nursery with (stereotypical, haha) blue walls, a decal of a monkey in a tree and a decal with his name.
I intend to keep the design for DS2 but add a decal with his name. I can't bear to take off DS1's name even though it won't be his room anymore. The names share a letter, so I might do an interlocking design with them if it will fit on the wall!
Don't think we'll be doing a real theme for the nursery. Heck we don't even know yet which room will be the baby's room - (s)he will prolly bunk with us for the first period. But I do want to decide on which room soonish so we can start prepping! Will probably go with a gender neutral colorscheme but as we probably won't be starting prep until after our A/S I then can sneak in some more gender-specific little things:)
Absolutely nothing. With DD I didn't do anything special, because we co slept. When she was about 1, I did a nursery. But nothing special. With DS, I went all out. It was fun, but he also co slept. He's 2 and just started sleeping in his crib. So, I've learned that while fun, it's not practical for us, since the baby sleeps in our room anyway......
I think this will be the week we finally will start on the nursery! First gotte empty the room from all the crap that's been collected there these past years.. Ooef!
Originally I was planning on simply painting the room but maybe I'll do one wall with real cute wallpaper? Have thought about shade, curtains and lamps but at a loss still when it comes to furniture LOL. We have a couple of pieces we want to (re)use in the nursery. One of them I have held on to for almost 10 years, a lovely redwood (I think) small cabinet with 3 drawers and one door (with shelves behind it) - it will need some work, it resided in the shed for the past 7-8 years so needs to be cleaned, sanded down and repainted/restained. The other is a 8 drawer Hemnes dresser that many of you no doubt know heh. I just don't know whether the two fit together in the room haha! But the dresser will be so much more practical then the other one (which will just mostly be cute). Should I go for cute or practical.. thinking practical since the nursery isn't that big (she'll move into a bigger room when she gets older - but for now that room remains my study/hobby room).

We FINALLY sold our office desk today and they are picking it up tomorrow, so I can get to work on the nursery now. So much stressed relieved! Now, we just need to get the random crap out of there and sorted so I can start getting it all put together.
Anyway, I've been working on things as I've had time and I was able to finish up a quilt, matching pillow, and the crib skirt. I don't have a pic of the skirt, but I'll try to post one soon. Very proud of the quilt, especially it being my first quilting project.
MH put the crib together and it's beautiful! I'm so happy with it.
The farthest I've gotten - aside from the fact that we are buying and moving in a month so obvs nothing will be done for awhile... is deciding to paint the room that will be his and I'm still trying to pick colors. I think I've decided on grey with an accent wall in some shade of teal but maybe I'll go with a light blue or a very light green on all walls. 🤷🏻♀️
