DH and I are having a date afternoon in two weeks after our L&D tour. I'm trying to decide if we want to go to a "nice" place for lunch or to an Irish pub because it's st Patrick's day.
Omg I'm so excited. My BFF text me to tell me she's pregnant this morning. Sofaking happy!!!! Moar bebes!!!!!
I recently found out that our neighborhood playgroup with have Sept and Oct 2017 babies (in addition to my April 2017) to go with our April June Aug and Oct 2015 babies. Super excited to not be alone in the crazy!
Baby is trying to flip to head down by his rolling movements but can't seem to get past the traversed stage. As much as I want him head down, I am not amused by this feeling or heart burn increase I'm suddenly feeling

iqeb I'm so absurdly happy for her. She's wanted a baby since I conceived my first. But, she's Air Force and he's army so it's taken them a long time + a deployment to finally be stationed together.

Ugh commiserations hpnegirl DS is doing the exact same thing. He's trying to get rolled over head down. Meanwhile it looks like an alien trying to escape my stomach.

When I see the prices of houses in other states I get depressed. We could have bought a giant house in another state for the price of our small townhome.

No kidding! My sister is looking at buying at house in her state for less than we paid for our condo.

What a great mail day. I got a package from my mom that included a handmade blanket + lovie from my grandma for new baby. Flash cards for DD. A cute outfit for both of them. And Lindt chocolate & little Debbie cakes for me. Hahaha
marshian the stroller other than the armadillo I was thinking was the Peg Perego Book Completo but it seems to be a more Canadian item and hard to find in the states. It folds so small and well when the seat is reversed.
silvermelody - What a cutie! How is she six weeks already?!
I don't know, it's flying by. Though having my folks here for the first two weeks, and then two chiro appointments per week for her and two doc visits a week for me really made it go fast.
Now that all that is done I have so much more time for activities! I actually had time and energy to bake lactation cookies today!
setsuna17 one of my friends moved to North Carolina and got basically a beach adjacent mansion for the same amount as her large but modest home here.
And where I grew up you get another bedroom and bathroom plus a basement and more property for the equivalent of our house here in NorCal.
I didn't realize you were a NorCal person. I'm in SoCal, but housing is much the same, I think.
When we bought our house we used money we inherited to pay the mortgage down. We literally could have bought two houses in cash in Arkansas where my mom lives. But we just couldn't give up our lifestyles. Lol.
I was in BRU because DS's shoes are falling apart and he needs new ones in his current size (I'm all set on the next size but his feet aren't big enough for them). I ask the front if they would have any in the back after finding one pair with a hard top on a rack, 4 sizes too big (we prefer the hard tops in the front for this kid)... her response: "I don't know. We might but our back is a mess, and there's a bunch of boxes in front of the shoes. So, we couldn't get to them if we did." Me: "ugh, his shoes fell apart and he needs new ones so.." Her: "you could try again next week!"
No, I can't. He needs shoes for school tomorrow. Waiting a week is not an option. You could have at least gone on the computer and checked if you had them or if one of the other stores in the area had them.

I tell myself that it's effectively a different currency since my H wouldn't make as much in another part of the country. And the weather! And I actually like small houses. But still.

marshianwannabmama exactly! I don't like that particular store but it usually has the best stock of shoes (the others in the area are combo TRU/BRUs). It would have taken her two minutes to see if the other locations had them or if they had inventory in the back. I seriously have an issue with this particular store every time I'm in it

Yes, I'm irrationally annoyed over this
That's not irrational annoyance. That's WTF is the store doing with their back room that they physically can't get to items??

I worked at a kohls while I was in college. The store had to be spotless- if we weren't ringing up customers, we were to organizing and cleaning up the dropped clothing. The backroom was amazingly organized. All the stores in that area were like this (even freaking Walmart).
Then I moved here and saw what the kohls and other stores around here looked like and realized that's not the norm.
The idea that they can't get to boxes in their backroom... although, I guess I shouldn't expect any better from a store that only ever has two cashiers, if that, and ones that are super slow to boot. I've had to stand around for 10 minutes just to get a damn registry scanner..

If they had them at the combo store I could have picked them up on my way home!
