Good morning!
L woke up needy as hell at 6:40. We're currently reading the same two books over and over and over while I try to figure out what I want for breakfast. She has started to really enjoy books more lately and laughs almost every time we turn the page. It's frickin precious.
Not much on the agenda today. SS has taekwondo, DH is taking his mom to something this afternoon, and he has a show tonight I'll go to for a while. Otherwise the usual around the house stuff.

DD is apparently going down for a nap at 9am. I guess that's what she gets for getting up at 5?
I don't know how she manages with one nap at school.
MH wants to do nothing. I had options for things we could be out doing, and he's opted for nothing. I'm going to let him be the one to occupy DS in that case.
Swim class for DD after a bit. Hopefully no puking today!

I'm opting out of swim today as it is -27 out and I just started my first pp period. Whomp whomp..... Ryan is settling in for his first nap and during his second ill be going for a grocery run.

You guys. I am so excited but I know telling you is going to jinx me and it will never happen again. S slept in the pnp all night long with no wake ups for the first time in like 6 months 🎉🎉🎉 Too bad I stayed up super late and didn't go to bed at a normal time. I'm going to the grocery store in a little bit. Then I get to work this afternoon.

We're on our way up to our hometown for the weekend. Doing my mom's surprise birthday gathering tonight. I'm sure she will be upset at first since she told us no party (turned 50) but I'm hoping she'll enjoy it. I told her I'm taking her to dinner, just us, but everyone else will be there when we show up. And then we are doing some late night bowling after. Should be fun (she loves bowling) and hopefully she feels appreciated. We did not have a good relationship growing up but it's gotten a lot better since then. So, anyway, that's our weekend.
Morning! The kids got us up before 7 which was not awesome but I'm feeling productive because I already did BBM for the day. We don't really have plans- might take my bike for a tune-up, do a little spring cleaning, play outside for a while. Such an exciting day.

Oh you know, lunch was toast with almond butter and apple sauce. But then half of dads naan bread and a ton of moms minestrone soup, followed by 6 ounces of milk...... Where the hell is it all going? If this kid doesn't grow a foot overnight I'll be surprised

R has been weird today. She refused to take a bath. She usually loves baths. Then I tried to get her dressed and she freaked out when I tried to put a green shirt on her. She crawled to her dresser, opened a drawer and pulled out a red shirt. She had the biggest smile on her face when I pulled that shirt over her head. I didn't realize that she would want to pick out her own clothes at 13 months.
Hi ladies! We had Lu's first swim today and I might have died from cuteness. So many tiny bathing suits. Can't deal. She wasn't as giddy happy as I had hoped but she warmed up and had fun by the end. She has zero fear of putting her face in, which is equal parts good and terrifying. Other than that its work tonight. C has a cold so I'm hoping he can kick it before my mom comes to visit Monday!
We are leaving R with my in laws tonight and having a date night. My first night away from my baby! I am really nervous.
Have fun! She's in good hands. We will have our first night away from him for our anniversary in May. My BIL and his fiancé are flying out to watch him. I know they'll all be fine, but I'm still nervous.

Something in the F16 water? X woke up for the day at 5:10am. He's so grumpy. The whining/yelling in my ear for 20 minutes before he'll sleep is really a pleasant experience, too.
At least H is home today too. I think I might start handing over one of the nap duties to H on the weekends. Just to share in the hair pulling and kicking and yelling experience.

Managed to get to Costco, grocery store and home before r woke up from his afternoon nap, started making pizza while he snacked (moar fooood) and now just watching him play. Pretty accomplished!

I'm chilling in the couch for a few minutes while L naps. Been a fairly productive day so far, but I'm losing steam. I think at this point I'll start dinner soon and not do much else until time to go to H's show. So excited to watch him play, see some friends, and have a few drinks!

I could have gone to my mom's for dinner but I really just want downtime at home. We're looking at ordering dinner at the moment because neither of us has any energy and our kitchen is pretty sparse.
I actually submitted a job application last night after coming home from visitation so didn't get to bed until after midnight. I'm so tired and tired of running around! DH let me take a nap this afternoon which was so appreciated since I have another fairly busy day tomorrow.

I'm sure you're looking forward to some down time and time to yourself. I hope now that the formalities are over, you can get some time to begin processing and taking care of yourself.
Good luck with the job application! I hope you hear back! Is it something new or familiar to you?

Thank you! Same field but with our federal public service instead of with the university. It means a significant increase in pay plus benefits. These opportunities don't come around too often so I definitely wanted my shot at it.

Also, my amazing BFF gave me a gift certificate for a 50 min massage at the babies' party last weekend (was that only a week ago?!?) so I am really looking forward to booking that.
Morning! I just woke up a half hour ago. Work was pretty uneventful yesterday, and today will probably be the same. I have to work on online training modules which are super exciting 🙄but at least they occupy my time.
Morning! We got home at about 1am Friday night/Saturday morning. I'm glad we came home on a Friday so we have the whole weekend. We were rather lazy yesterday. Did a couple loads of laundry and just played with the kids. Same today.
DD sprung a couple teeth while we were gone so that explains the random temp and rash perhaps. They are on top. Weirdo. She's been popping them in pairs and top before bottom. But I expect her bottom to come in very very soon.
I had told my mom she could go ahead and continue morning and bed time bottles (with almond milk) while we were gone but DD wouldn't take them. So she's just done with bottles and drinking her milk and water from the sippy and having her 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. I need to get creative and come up with some variety for snacks, hence my fb post.
This morning when DH was supposed to be watching her H broke one of the nose pads off my glasses. So I'm wearing my old glasses to work today. They feel so weird because they are all plastic and the other ones are metal. The prescription isn't too far off but things far away are a bit blurry. I'm going to have to go to the eye doctor's office right away tomorrow morning to have them replace the nose pad.

L is laying in her crib chatting instead of napping. I'm leaving her there until she decides it's no longer fun.
Today has not been as productive as I would like. DH was exhausted from his show, so he slept late and then we both ended up napping during L's morning nap. We went out to get supplies for SS's birthday party and ended up eating a late lunch and not getting anything else. I guess I'll have to make a few lunch break trips this week to finish that.
I have no motivation so I guess the rest of the evening will be lazy and doing the absolute minimum necessary tasks.
Also, he's been pointing at things with his whole hand for a while now, but the last few days he has started pointing with his finger. Idk why but it's so stinking cute and it kills me every time.
My sister M has 3 kids, R (who is 7), B (who is 2.5) and baby O. R is staying with my older sister L and B is staying with my older sister J. I'll try to make this the least confusing as possible. L has 4 kids, 2 of whom are having a bday party this coming weekend. L asked if I could take R for the night on Saturday during the parties (it's for their school friends) and I agreed. M's husband B just texted me and asked if he could stay at my house this weekend with R so I don't have to watch her. I feel like that completely defeats the purpose. He lives 3 hours away and could totally pick R up on Friday, go home, bring her back Sunday evening. I will probably say yes because I'm a nice person, but he's going to have to sleep on the floor in the living room because I plan to paint all weekend, so basement will be off limits.
Ugh molars are being bitches over here today. Poor Lu. They look so painful. She's being a champ but I gave her some Advil and I'm hoping she sleeps for a while. My mom is coming tomorrow!! I'm so excited but I want to clean my s-hole of a house (it's not that bad but needs picking up for sure) before she gets here. But energy level soooooo low tonight....
