Today has turned out to be a pretty good/relaxing day. I showered and then brought my Pregnancy pillow to the couch. I've been laying here with my eyes closed for a few hours and now puppy and I are snuggling and eating popcorn. If only the TV was on something good but H is with us so.

Topped off me freezer stash with 4 batches of muffins (apple cinnamon and blueberry) and 10 batches of chocolate chip cookies. The deep freezer is full so we can eat decent meals when the girls are here.
Also my BFF sent me TWO of those milkmaid goods nursing covers. I'm in love! They are so soft and comfy. They can be used as nursing covers, car seat canopies, shopping cart covers, etc. I'm excited! For nursing I love that they'll be waaayyyyy better than trying to hold a blanket in place
Boo. I was hoping they would have at least one of the mesh ones. I want one of the breathable ones for this summer. I think I'm going with a Kinderpack, though.

I already have 2 tulas but really want the mesh ones. Do those usually go fast when they stock?
No idea. I've never really paid attention. I've been debating between a Tula and a Kinderpack for a while, but I think I'm going with the Kinderpack based on more people saying they prefer them comfort wise.

It varies by print, but in general, they sell out pretty quick.
I believe all of last year's prints are sold out except for 1 or 2 that they keep restocking. I have both types of Tulas- mesh and canvas. If you go with a mesh, get a lighter colored mesh. The dark blue mesh can be just as hot as the lighter canvas ones
The prints on sale have been discontinued so if you want it, it's time to grab
Okay, so I need ideas on what to get DS1 as his big brother gift. He loves: - trains - being read to - Daniel tiger - the movies Storks, Aladdin, Home, and the Lorax
He has a lot of plush toys, books, and wooden trains.
I was thinking maybe a baby doll, but I don't know. I know they play with them at daycare but I don't know how into he is. I do have doll carriers for if he wanted to carry it around like how we'd carry a baby

I think a doll is a great idea. I remember caring for my baby doll while my mother cared for my sister as a kid. Maybe something like this? Or a boy cabbage patch so he can take care of his baby and carry it around while you care for and carry around new baby?

That looks like a good one, thanks! He has this blanket he drags with him everywhere so I suspect he'll be rough with the doll if he takes to it
He's spoiled rotten and the first child/grandchild/great grandchild so he's in for a big adjustment. He also doesn't do well with change... at all. Like, if they move him to a different room at daycare, he melts down for an hour.
I'm probably way overthinking this stuff but I worry about the adjustment, which is why I was thinking his own doll he could care for as we care for baby brother

Omg DS is obsessed with Home. Like wants to watch it every day. We got him an Oh doll that talks for his bday.

We go through phases. It was Aladdin for 2ish months, then the Lorax. He had about a month of Home, then a month or two of Daniel tiger. He spent another two months on Thomas, and now we're on Storks and Angry Birds.
DH is finally home (he was supposed to be home two hours ago..). He's now on toddler duty, which I passed to him exactly two minutes after he walked through the door. I'm laying in bed waiting for the toddler to barge in for bed time

I'll have to check out Storks. I can't think of what that is. He had a period of Angry Birds too.
We're people watching at Taco Bell wasting time before heading home. We didn't have to wait for the bus between the store and here so this isn't taking nearly as much time as I thought it would.
Kiddo is out of my arms for longer than it takes to pee for the first time in 14 hours. Fingers crossed she sleeps on her floor bed for at least a little while. Whatever this virus is, I do not like it.

hpnegirl I got DS a baby doll before N got here so we could practice being gentle etc. He does not care about it at all. It is by far his least favorite toy. But he's not a super affectionate kid.
I got him a Melissa & Doug stacking train for Christmas that he loves, but it has a lot of pieces that wind up everywhere

Stuffed animals get hugged, fed, body parts pointed to, etc. Doll gets ignored, presumably for not being as soft and fuzzy.
H wants to get a carrier that faces forward for him to use. I'm torn between lillebaby and an ergo360. People seem to love whichever one they have 😂 I just don't know which one ds would like more

Maybe see if someone in a baby wearing group has one of each you can try? I'm in Texas so the only option for us seemed like the lillebaby. DS only likes front facing so that plus breathable mesh is what leaned me that way. Now I want a lillebaby toddler since DS is getting a little too big for it
Omg I just had banana bread French toast with whipped cream cheese topping and real maple syrup topped with bananas and walnuts. I could die right now a happy woman. I'm told H he can go skiing every weekend as long as he takes me to amazing breakfast every time.
