thenewkmr, baby 2 hasn't gotten too much new yet. A few things I wanted with DD but didn't have the spare $$ for- new carriers, kick & play piano, jumperoo- and some gender-neutral stuff since we knew DD was a girl and we're team green with this one. We had way, WAY more new stuff for DD so I feel like baby 2 is kind of getting the shaft- especially if it's a girl, she will be wearing hand-me-downs for years!
thenewkmr seriously all this baby got was a crib & changing table. Lol. Plus boy clothes. And a new wrap to wear him.
That's a lot more than what mine is getting lol. We already have a 2nd crib, thanks to IL's (they bought one we're using with DD now. Her 1st crib is in storage), and we already have the changing table. She has, maybe, 3 new outfits? That's it. Nothing. (It helps its another girl )

We knew we wanted more than one kid so with DD, I requested mostly gender neutral stuff. Jumperoo, pack n play, all that neutral. If it's pink, it's because I got it on clearance for a great deal. I can't pass up a good red tag sale. Baby #2 is getting all hand-me-downs.

raven, thankfully we registered for all neutral "big" stuff for DD- pack & play, high chair, etc.- so we don't have too much super expensive stuff to replace. Almost all of DD's pink stuff is clothes or bedding, which isn't too pricey to replace. The bedding we'd be re-buying anyway since we're doing a totally different color scheme for this LO's nursery.

@jellykat that's what I tried first and it was a bit much. Almost too matchy matchy. I did some Pinterest searching last night and I think I'm going to have him wear a gray top.

I bet grey would look nice! Or navy? But might be a bit dark.

jellykat2 I ended up grabbing him a gray polo at target tonight to wear (he had a nice tshirt but I thought it looked slightly underdressed with our dresses)

Oooo I like that! I bet that will look super nice in pics! Good choice.

I've reached the point in my pregnancy where I'm having excruciating nerve pain in my ribs. The same thing happened with DD; it's their little foot jammed up against the rib. I know the end is near but dang it this fucking hurts. Come on baby and drop on down.

We got DD's crap out of the nursery this weekend and got it organized for baby. There are only a handful of things left on our pre-baby to do list. This stuff is starting to get real!

Love your maternity pics ourcrazynavylife. I had mine taken today (just me) and I'm so excited to see them! We may have a friend take some of us but H needs to shave his awful beard off first.

We installed the baby's car seat in my car yesterday and I'm not sure how we'll keep DD from smacking/poking the baby- they're so close together! I wish I had a bigger car so we could spread the kiddos out a bit.
And I'm officially done with work!! I was planning to try and stick it out next week but these prelabour contractions and the headaches have me exhausted completely. Im happy I get a week before DS goes on break from school so I can sleep in for a little bit. And maybe the nursery will get done now. Hahaha

Scheduled my c section for next Wednesday. Looks like I'm having a March baby.
I'm finding little motivation to get the stuff that needs to get done done.
Wow, that's exciting! I understand the lacking motivation though. Were you planning for a CSection or is it getting you down a bit?
I was hoping for a vbac. With my diagnosis of preeclampsia though, they want baby to come at 37 weeks.
I've mostly gotten over the disappointment but am still holding onto some sliver of hope that somehow ill go into labor in my own or be really favorable for induction. I have been having irregular and not very strong contractions - although strong enough to pick up on my NST Monday. I was 60% effaced at my appointment Monday, so that kind of made me feel like maybe there is a chance. Although I know that really that means nothing!
If they induced me it would only be with a foley balloon to try and manually dilate me so they could break my water. Since dd was a c section they won't induce with meds.
Regardless of how this baby comes out, I'm definitely excited to meet him or her, and definitely ready to be done being pregnant!!
