It's 3pm. I just finished my breakfast at work and my shift is supposed to be over. So many people got vacation this week and 2 sick calls today mean that I'm stuck here an extra 2 hours since no one else can work. Plus I get to help out my other job by doing 2 home visits after 7 tonight. I need out of this place so badly, work is just way too much right now.
I'm off from work on Wed because of how my schedule worked. I wouldn't have been able to miss it because a)I'm a nurse and can't just let people die for a political stand b) we are moving units that day so it's literally all hands on deck.
Since I'll be home, I highly doubt my toddler will allow me to participate.
No. My work would literally not be able to function with no women. We have a grand total of 6 men who work out of the hospital, only one of them is a nurse. I've heard something about wearing red that day though so I might do that.
I'll be wearing red, but I wish there was a better way to participate. I'd gladly take the day off to go volunteer or do something worthwhile. I'm not sure how me just taking a vacation day to hang out at home would really affect anyone though. My boss would just be like...shrug ok.
forevermorgan , Does the French part matter? I'd pronounce it "Bricks" if I just saw it as a name written anywhere. Maybe "brie" if I were French? But isn't Brie already french? Ive spiraled...
My friend just asked if we were thinking of potty training Henry soon. Um... last night Henry peed on the floor before bath time and then slipped in it. He literally had no clue that he had peed and that the puddle came from him. I don't think we're there yet lol.
I really want to, but I just can't make it work. I'm already going to be out Friday and my students just make no progress when there is a sub. Having 2 in one week would be a disaster.
I'm noticing so many people in caregiving-type jobs are saying things like "I can't let other people suffer because of this" (myself included), and I feel like this is part of the reason for the day in the first place.

Yay LydiaDeetz!!! Is your H waiting until he sees them in hopes that they'll come with name badges, or that he'll be struck with inspiration? I hope he cooperates with you soon!

Important question: Is there a way to watch ABC tonight without cable or satellite? Hearst is in a fight with Dish and have blocked ABC from Dish customers in my area. But I want to watch the three hour Bachelor episode tonight.

I'm so done with f*ing house projects. H works all day, comes home for dinner, and goes to the basement to work on projects. Meanwhile, I'm home with W all day and then still do it all in the evening. I don't blame H, when else is he supposed to do any of it. But damn, I'm done single parenting. And we are soooo far from done with projects. I'm making some headway on paying someone else to do a bunch of them though (kitchen floor, kitchen counter, paint, patch drywall, etc).
This night was not good. I won't get into all the details of the tantrum, but highlights included Henry's winter coat ending up in the full bathtub and getting kicked in the eye and then the boobs while trying to put a diaper on him. Thank gosh he's sleeping. Lasagna for dinner, I wish I had wine!!!
I was changing for bed and noticed some white fuzz on my nipple. I went to brush it off and it wasn't fuzz. It was milk!!!! And when I wiped it off, more came out!!! Wtf?!?!!! We weaned in the fall!!!!!!!
Pee on something. For science.
I seem to recall that you can lactate for some ridiculous amount of time after weaning and it's perfectly normal.

CoachTsWife we have dish and were blocked from cbs the entire summer last year. We called and they sent us a free digital antenna. I know that won't help tonight but if it last long I would consider it.

After a brutal night of sudden intense ear pain, I went to see a doctor and found out I have an ear infection. My allergies have been so so bad this past week, and I guess that plus pregnancy congestion landed me on antibiotics for a week. So hopefully tonight won't be as bad.
T seemed really excited about his new room! He kept running in and whispering "wooooowwwww" before hollering for me to help him move his toys around. It's kinda funny, he wants to put his things in a similar spot in relation to the rocking chair as they were in his old room. He talked to himself a little longer than usual, but seemed to go to bed just fine in there. So I'm happy
