Still want to lose 20lb this year. Looking to improve my running time. Most importantly I'd like to feel good in my clothes again.
Run 2x a week, workout 2x a week. DR exercises 4x a week. Meal plan including snacks. For Lent we are doing no desserts (cookies, cakes, candies, etc). We'll have 2 days this doesn't apply. Our anniversary (which is Thursday) and DH's dad's birthday on the 17th. I also gave up Starbucks.
So far I've been doing well sticking to my meal plan and only eating approved snacks (low sugar, low calorie, good stuff in it). I have made myself run and workout some.
Struggling to meet my frequency goals. It's starting to get hot and I'm struggling with running in the heat and humidity. And finding time to workout at home isn't easy. All I wanna do after a day home with the girls alone is rest.
QOTW: I did many things as a child. Figure skating, tennis, and swim team were some I enjoyed. I started doing hunter/jumper horseback riding at 7 and did that until high school. Then it was off and on until I got pregnant. If we can ever afford it, I'll get back into it. I don't think I'll compete again or ever buy another horse, but I'd love to just ride.
What are your health/fitness goals? 1) Get back to pre-pregnancy weight from D (still hovering anywhere from 2-5 lbs above this), 2) get back to pre-pregnancy weight from DS (another 10-12 lbs), and if posdible 3) lose another 5-10 lbs.
How do you plan to accomplish your goals? I'm still working out 6 days a week, though I took an extra rest day last week. I have also joined an Orangetheory studio and will be doing one class per week there. I'm also going to be doing a Stroller Strides class once a week with some ladies from my IRL moms group from now until I go back to work (another 5 weeks).
What have you been successful with? I've still been good about fitting in my workouts and pushing myself hard.
What are you struggling with? I'm still giving in maybe a bit too much to treats and beer with DH on the weekends. I need to rein it in if I want to progress further.
Other/questions/advice? Not at the moment.
QOTW: Did/Do you play any sports? I played softball in high school until a horse-related injury ended that. I picked it up again as an adult though, up to 2014 when I got pregnant with DS. I also rode horses from age 12 through college (trails, dressage, and hunter/jumper, and also trained school horses). I've only done it a handful of times since then and it's something I desperately want to get back into once I'm done having babies.
waitwhat can you do any workouts when B is napping but J is awake? I just did about a half hour long one while D was up by laying her in the PNP next to me with a bunch of toys to look and grab at. Would J tolerate that?

It took wayyyy to much motivation, but I did my chest workout. I might have to move around tomorrow's workout if M reacts to her shots similarly to her 2 months appointment (so much crying, so many hours of it).
I need to stop with the snacks. H puts in our grocery order and has been finding me so many MSPI goodies. I love him so much for it, but having three pounds of baklava in the house week after week isn't doing me any favors. That being said, I need to get some ready to eat snacks to have on hand so that I just go to them when the hungries hit me.

I suck at the format. I'm sorry. I find it easier to come in here and say what I managed to get done. So if I disappear for more than a day it means I'm slacking. Feel free to call me out on it.
I'm frustrated, guys. My shoulder is not getting better but I don't want, nor can I afford, extra rest days. I went to Stroller Strides today and I couldn't do several of the moves, especially the ones that require resistance bands.
I'm a little behind on BBM but hoping to be able to catch up tomorrow by doing a 3-fer. Then maybe another 3 on Thursday and Orangetheory on Friday. I really want to keep going, especially while I still have time left before going back to work.
omg omg. This looks amazing. And chocolate almond milk?! I'm drooling. But, I haven't had peanut butter since B got diagnosed with the allergy 😥 so I've been living off almond butter which I love but know it won't be the same. Hmmm.
I'm currently eating almond butter in oatmeal after seeing that recipe last night and it's amazing. Might lick the bowl.

Almond butter would still be really good though! I have a jar that's almost empty that I'll be trying this with if the one today is any good.
sophiegrace yes! I usually make oats and put a scoop of almond butter in there! I was just thinking how much I miss smooth, creamy peanut butter. Straight from the jar...
So, the peanut butter overnight oats were amazing. I think I'm an overnight oats convert. A lot of the recipes I had used before had chia seeds and the texture just didn't do it for me. This was a delight.
I also did 3 days of BBM week 6 today (cardio, lower body, upper body). Tomorrow I go back to Orangetheory!!

So there's a concert H wants to go to this summer. He would possibly go with my brother and I would stay in the hotel with M while they're there. Why? Because the venue is in the same city as an Orangetheory studio and that's how badly I want to try it out.
Have an amazing workout tomorrow! I love the high I get from pushing past my limits.

waitwhat I use this when I want a change from regular almond butter. It has pea and rice protein instead of whey and tastes pretty good on stuff. My only issue with it is that it's a lot dryer than the regular almond or peanut butters.
Yesterday I did a bunch of yard work instead of running. I did get sweaty and it was work, but I'm going to do a workout today during one of Lilah's naps.
It's a bit speedy, but within the normal almond butter range. I hate much more expensive the other 'butters' are compared to PB. Sunbutter (sunflower seeds) is pretty decent too, surprisingly.

At one of the schools I worked at, we had sunbutter and jelly for kids who needed a lunch because of peanut allergies. I never tried it, but the kids seemed to love it.
Speaking of pb, I've had toasted pb sandwiches for breakfast the last 2 days since I forgot to buy my breakfast sandwiches at the store Tuesday. And after what happened last time, I'm not to keen on going back just yet.
Orangetheory was awesome again today!! Supposedly I burned 606 calories in the hour.
Tomorrow is a rest day and then Saturday I will do BBM days 39-41. Another good week! If I can have some restraint with beer this weekend I might weigh myself again on Monday.

I'm having a really hard time with the no dessert thing. Even with custard on Thursday for our anniversary. I want a pan of warm brownies or some chocolate cupcakes.

omg brownies. I'm hungry.
Me too. I need to just go to sleep already so I can wake up and eat breakfast.

Sometimes just brushing my teeth will help the craving go away. Maybe it's the mint. Don't give up though!! I'm sure it'll get easier the longer you go. You're going through a detox period right now.
