I've been up for an hour with a fussy Lilah. The last 2 nights were better and now this. Bleh. She had a hard time going to sleep, finally went down a little after 9. Woke up at 10:30, out until just before 2, back out pretty fast, up at 4. It's almost a quarter after 5 and I think she just went back to sleep. But I have to get up at 7:15 regardless because of Lillian.
Tuesday is usually playgroup day, but I think Lillian is catching a cold. So...I guess I'll go to the grocery store instead. I might take her to the park of she's not too sniffly. We'll see. Oh and if it's not raining.
DH got super pissed off last night. I have no idea why. Lillian didn't go to sleep very easily, but that's true on a regular basis. He was not pleasant to be around after that and didn't even say goodnight to me. I hope he's in a better mood today. I won't be happy if after taking care of children alone for 9 hours I'm greeted with a bad attitude.
ClassyMrsA hope Lillian is feeling better soon. I'm so over this cold and flu season.
B has preschool this morning so while he's out of the house I'll be starting the deep-clean process to get the house ready for photos next week. My mom is coming over this morning to help, then we're heading over there for dinner tonight.

Yay Tuesday.
Both boys are sick. It's just really bad congestion and a cough, but they're both miserable. I feel so bad for them. I've had the sniffles for a few days but last night I woke up with a really sore throat, I hope I'm not getting sick too. Man, I can't wait for cold and flu season to be over!
waitwhat Is it possible that they aren't affected by the regression and just figure it out without an issue?
danib I'm sorry he got delayed again. I've said it before but I don't know how you do it. Hopefully he gets home soon.
jubilantsquirrel +1 to being over this cold and flu season. I never usually get sick but I seem to have gotten the same congestion twice in a row. C looked like he was getting sick again but he fought it off quick. Me on the other hand had a few more days of not being able to breathe.
Morning ladies. I have an exciting day of waiting around ahead of me. I'm dropping C of at my mom's then taking my sister and her car to a shop to get a blower thing installed. We're going to be there for 2 hours while they install it and she gets trained. Then I have to go to the Secretary of State to renew my license. Maybe we'll go to Target or something more fun to make up for it after.
waitwhat we are moving to Virginia (Hampton Roads area, if you're familiar). We won't move until July-August so we have an area and neighborhoods we're looking at, but not a specific house. I'm hoping we can take a couple days to go up and househunt when we get a bit closer and rentals are available for our timeframe (not interested in buying there).
I've been up since 3:30 with a toddler that won't sleep. Send coffee. It's a really busy day at work too with a big team meeting and two of the workshops that I plan starting today. Bad day to forget my Fitbit at home.
kleigh I'll dance for you! E, unfortunately, was up every 2 hours starting at 10:30. So my stretches were no where near the minimum goal of a 3 hour stretch.
It's raining here and I'm tired. I'll be happy to get a shower in by 4.

I might die. We're suck in this garage for 2 hours and it smells like cigarettes in here. And there's no coffee or anything in the waiting room which is just 4 cube walls. Send coffee and fresh air.
starbuck27 What shots do they get at the 4month? A and A already have colds and are absolutely crying, miserable messes so I might have to reschedule their Fri appt if things don't take a turn for th better. We are having major major nap issues here too. But it's so cold that I don't want to go out (ok to be real today is 50 but it's raining, yesterday and days prior were 20-30s) even though I'm desperate for one easy nap a day - car seat/driving would be that. I'm sorry you're dealing with the same over there. Hopefully W is at least being an all star toddler.
Last night sucked more than other nights. D was fine. For once she actually went to bed before 9 (which I'm trying to make a regular thing), and slept until 4:30. Unfortunately her big brother decided to wake up screaming for me at 1:30. That was unusual and not fun.
This morning I went to a Stroller Strides fitness class with D, which was great, but seriously effed her nap schedule for the day. Normally she takes a 2-4 hour nap in the morning about two hours after she wakes up. The class started at 9:30 though (when she should have just been going down for the nap). And of course she won't sleep anywhere but in the moving car or in her crib in the dark and quiet. So all I got were 3 crappy car naps of 15 minutes, 20 minutes, and 35 minutes.
I just got done putting her down in her crib in the Merlin because she was cranky and clearly tired. FX she gets a decent nap. Sigh. I want to be able to go out and do things but she is so much harder to take places than DS, who would sleep anytime, anywhere.
I got Adeline to sleep and put her down in the bouncer while I got Alec to sleep... She's kind of snoring, does that mean she can't breathe properly (in other words positional issue) and I need to fix her? Or could it just be her congested nose..
dashook Do you think you could somehow move her long nap to the middle of the day? Usually A &A s longest nap is that early-ish morning one but I've been trying to get it to be more like noon... Which they've been helping me with since they hate napping right now so morning naps aren't a thing and by noon they're out cold.

Probably just her congested nose. H has been doing the same thing. Are you using the snot sucker aka nose frida?
I'm trying so hard to use that but they move and wiggle so much I'm having a hard time. Do I put the end of it just up to their nose or actually inside the nose? How do you wrangle H to let you do it?
tgrimes1980 I did the "sitting atop" thing once to Adeline bc hers was so bad she couldn't go to sleep and would start screaming as she'd fall asleep bc se couldn't breathe. I was like "is this ok?!" - so I'm glad someone else thinks it is too. Obviously I wasn't "sitting on her with pressure, just to hold her in place. And that night she did sleep for a few hours in a row after that. That was that night she fell asleep in the center of the bed and I dared not touch her, it was right after I used that.
Adam uses the blue hospital bulb on Alec and seems to like that but my neighbor also swears by the Frieda. I'll try again later.
I can't decide to be honest. I know they are doing some character development stuff, which is necessary (both to make you care about the characters and to break up the intense stuff) but it feels very..... Off? Like I watched and was interested. But I was also like "where are they going with this", and not in a super intrigued way but more of a confused way. Not sure if I'm making sense lol.
I agree. I thought a lot of the exchanges between Rick & Michonne were odd. I'm not a fan of the character building episodes.
I don't feel the chemistry between them. I don't mind character building episodes, but I don't want one every single week either.
kleigh Both girls snore when they're congested. In fact, I think we have a video of Lillian when she turned 7 months snoring away in the pnp. Also, to brush Lillian's teeth I'll sit on her. She HATES it, but you know, it's gotta happen.
dashook I feel your pain. Lillian's activities are all right during the start of Lilah's morning nap time. And unlike Lillian, she won't sleep on me in the carrier at playdates. Everything is too interesting. She needs calm and quiet to sleep. I'm finding that while she's an "easier" baby, she's way more particular about things. I did push her big nap to the afternoon (~1-3). It's working so far....

I have no idea how to make her do that. So are your two just not napping at all in the morning and waiting til noon?
Btw, she is up. 45 lousy minutes. I don't think I'm going to that class again if the rest of the day is going to be this annoying.
Eta: ClassyMrsA how did you push the big nap later?
Omg. Worst grocery store trip ever. So I checked the weather, it says it's supposed to only be 63 so I put the girls in long sleeves. I get ready to leave and it's clearly warmer out than I thought. I change them to short sleeves. We leave, get to the store and it's hella windy and COLD. What? Ok. Fine. We go inside and start getting things when I realize I forgot my wallet at home. I'd taken it out to verify my card on Amazon. So I have you leave my cart at the service desk, drive back home, get my wallet, and drive back. As I'm parking, I hear Lilah poop. It's not quite a blowout, but required 4 wipes. It started to sprinkle as I was changing her. In the store, Lillian is grabbing everything, yelling, and trying to climb out. Lilah is crying (eventually she fell asleep). Towards the end of the trip, Lillian did climb out and ran away. Luckily the store wasn't crowded and she fell so she let me put her back in. Finally finished up and checked out 2 hours after the very start.
The only good things: 1) if Lilah had pooped in the carrier it would have been a blowout because of the pressure from the carrier and 2) turns out sparkling water lives with the wine so I got this baby for myself. I assumed the universe wanted it that way.
dashook Honestly, no idea. She does the short nap around 9:30 on our way to Lillian's activities (or home from dance class). And then after lunch and playtime, I put her down and she just sleeps. I wish I could be more helpful.
This. I *think* they were attempting to build some chemistry there (with all the sex), but I just don't feel it for them either. I think they are definitely an amazing team... But romantic? Eh.
I don't like the two of them together at all. IMO both of their characters are too strong to be together romantically.
Yes, I think this is what my issue with them is. Like danib said, they make a great team, but not romantically

The board is hopping today!
Home from M's 4 month appointment. She handled the shots so much better this time and was back to her normal self by the time I had her dressed. FX she continues this was because she cried for six hours straight last go around.
Because of her weight we had to decide whether to increase her Nexium dosage or try to wean her off of it. We're going to slowly stop it and see how she does. FX she's outgrown it. And to my surprise we were told to start solids. If she spits it out, stop and try again in two weeks. I guess there's evidence being raised that if they're willing to eat then their GI tract is ready. So...ok. I feel like this is such a huge step.

Yay only 5 hours of my life spent waiting in lines today. Luckily the sec of state had an online check in so I didn't have to spend the full 2.5 hours waiting in the lobby. I had to take a new picture for my license and that kind of sucked because I actually liked my old one.
