Toddler and Preschooler Check-in )3/7)

Age: 2.5

Milestones: Singing "Happy birthday!" after his Dr. Seuss birthday celebration at daycare. So cute. He's starting to put on little concerts for us as well.

Challenges: He's fighting naps, and I am fighting back.

Funny/cute stories: Oh, my gosh, there were so many this week. He's in a fun phase right now.
During a recent nap fight (see above), I was lying on the floor of his room, pretending to sleep (hoping it would prompt him to sleep). He sat next to me, flipping through books, for an hour before I gave up. Hearing him recite "One apple on top. Five apples on top. Ten apples on top." was seriously one of the cutest things.

How are you? Good. I am so glad February is over. March is already much, much better.

Anything else? (ttc mentioned) My DH brought up the idea of maybe trying for another.  I seriously doubt we well - I'll be 42 next week - but we are at least having the final discussions about it. Bittersweet.

QOTW: In honor of Dr. Seuss Day, what is your favorite Dr. Seuss book? I have always loved "Fox in Socks." R's favorite (as alluded to above) is "Ten Apples Up on Top."

Hello, my lovelies!

Age: 12.5 mo

Milestones: He says please! It's the cutest thing ever!

Challenges: He is either going through a leap, or cutting molars or both, or we are deep in toddler hell. Either way, he's been a bear, and the attitude. Holy hell.

Funny/cute stories: He has been checking in with me a lot. He will come up and ask up and sit I my lap for just a few moments. Makes all the toddlerhood crap a little more bearable.

How are you? I am so very tired. I need to get on the workout train, but, I'm tired. Lol.

Anything else? TTMA meals. I'm horrible at meal planning.

QOTW: In honor of Dr. Seuss Day, what is your favorite Dr. Seuss book? Hop on Pop is my absolute fave. It wad the first book I checked out of the library by myself.

megrae12 *raises hand* I'm deep in fresh toddler hell too. I think we have a mix of molars and tummy troubles all at once, and he's the whiniest ever. Boo.

Meals, are you talking toddler or adult? I'm better at toddler food than adult food, lol. But I love meal planning. Chat me up on fb anytime!

Ugh. The whining... Please know you are not alone. The struggle is real.

Age: Two months shy of 4

Milestones: Checking the attitude and listening at school again. She was having trouble last week, but she turned it around.

Challenges: Attitude. And forgetting her listening ears.

Funny/cute stories: She loves to feed her brother. When she gives him a bottle, she will randomly rest her head on his head in, like, a half-hug. It's adorable.

How are you? Doing well. Can't really complain.

Anything else? I can't believe J is almost four. It's freaking me out how mature she seems these days.
