Small H vent: He's interviewing tomorrow somewhere we've traveled and texted yesterday while I was at work asking me to send him our journal from that trip (we type them). I told him to remind me at home because it's on my home PC. He doesn't. So this morning he texts as I'm running out the door. He's lucky I went back and turned on my computer and sent it to him.

My DH would have been SOL... my computer is old and mouldy and takes 15 minutes to boot up...
+1. Women here are only here for scheduling meetings and ordering supplies in many people's eyes. Sure - because that's what I got my MBA for.
This hurts my heart! Right now only 30% of the executives in my company are women, but we have a goal of parity for 2030. I do see all the smart talented women we pull in from University and I am pretty sure we will get there.
I have had two male Admins, and one was amazing, and one makes me want to stab things everyday... but the worst part is he has a unisex name and people constantly think he is a woman because of his job.
We have 60 employees, 5 of which are women and only 3 (myself being 1) are engineers and not admin. I think I weird them out right now with my waddling largeness all over the office so I pretty much get away with anything.

mustloveerica, I feel for the women engineers here. They always seem to have to prove themselves so much more than their male counterparts. And anytime one of them gets ahead, like getting a manager position, there is always chatter that it was just to fill a quota and not because of their ability. It burns me up. I work with mostly engineers but I'm on the business/financial side so I really confuse people because they just assume if I'm not an engineer and I'm female, I must be an admin assistant.
I'm super annoyed with myself. I'm driving to a meeting 2.5 hours away and I missed my exit. So I added 30 minutes to my drive and don't have per breaks built in to my time now
I've never even looked at LLR before, and was suddenly invited to 3 groups in the past couple weeks. You know what I would buy? Black leggings. You know what I won't do? Jump through 50 billion hoops to buy said black leggings.
WTF is with the most basic color being so damn limited and special. It's annoying and makes me not want to even browse the groups.

I did that driving to court the other day...a court I go to all the time. I just spaced out...and then went twice around a rotary bc I wasn't paying attention. I was literally driving in circles. I hope you get to pee soon
Funny aside...my phone autocorrected whatever I typed for paying to suing. Must know I'm a lawyer ha!

I was never convinced I'd like the patterned leggings. Now I own four pairs. They really just are so comfortable. And most days these days I don't leave the house so it's nice to throw them on.
I'm on waitlist for black, too, though, and agree it's annoying.

I got (maybe) four hours of sleep and forgot about the red. I will fix that when I get the energy to go back upstairs. For now, I think coffee is in my future.
Today we get our new freezer! We got a small extra one to stock up on some meals. I'm still not 100% sure where it's going, but that's H's job. I'm also really excited because H is going to look at houses up north this weekend

I hear good things, but in the news lately is the leggings are tearing and people are upset. Just a heads-up!

So I think when H goes back to work after babies I'm going to hire my girls friends daughter to come over once a week in the summer to help me out. She's 12 and wants to start babysitting so I figure having her be my "mothers helper" would give her experience while im around to help her learn about caring for babies. She's done her Red Cross classes and cpr classes but hasn't had an actual babysitting job yet. She has a baby brother at home (he's 1 I think) so she has some experience helping care for him.
1. What would you pay a mothers helper? I'm guessing I'll have her interact with babies mostly since that's what she wants experience with while I do housework, maybe have her go on grocery store trips with me, etc.
2. What tasks would you specifically want help with?

I love my LLR leggings and haven't have a problem with tears or holes. But honestly as long as they "make it right" I don't find it any different than dealing with any other product or company. A friend had some leggings get holes and she was given a refund without issue.
That said, I don't go for the super crazy patterns but I like some of the more low key patterns

It's taken me a few months but I own 5 pairs of black leggings. I do love them and wear them often.

That's a great idea! I basically was a mother's helper for a baby (from about 12 weeks until a year) for a mom who worked from home. I would come after school and on weekdays in the summer and would play with and watch the kid while she worked. But she would come out and play with him every now and then.
I would say for her age and what she is looking for, I would have her entertain the babies, do diaper changes, and some bottle feeding. Also putting them down for naps would be a good skill to learn. As far as pay, it varies by region, but I would do maybe 2/3 to 3/4 of the going hourly rate for sitters in your area.

I made up 10 minutes on my route and now I'm waiting at a gas station bathroom. This person has been in there forever I'm getting super antsy. I went 2.5 hours without peeing and I'm dying.

I'm at work and don't have anything red that fits (but I did wear my reddish coat, that I can barely zip) but I am determined not to spend any money today.
MH told me that after we announced yesterday two girls from his high school that he never keeps up with, haven't talked in years, messaged congratulations and then asked if the twins were natural! Wtf is wrong with people?!?
He said he wanted to respond...yeah, I gave it to her doggy style, thats the key! Or something equally inappropriate in response.

I received my breast pump yesterday (Spectra S1) and they sent extra parts and such and I am really skeptical that my insurance is going to pay for them all. I left everything in the packaging in case I have to send some or all of them back. I do want to plug it in to see how loud the pump is today.

Does that make the twins half-human, half-dog? Because THAT would be unnatural!
