Morning! S woke me up much earlier than usual so I'm tired. She didn't hardly nap at all yesterday so I'm hoping she does better today. I have a busy day ahead. My bathroom cabinet for the basement is being delivered at some point, they are supposed to call and let me know what time. If it's early enough then I'm going to get a mani/pedi while my sister watches the girls. This afternoon I'm dropping H off with MIL and then picking my niece up at school. I am driving her halfway to meet my BIL so she can spend the weekend with them. That's a 4 hour round trip so I should make it home around 8.

That's a lot of driving. Hope you get your mani pedi!
trtlcrzy, it really seems like you have a great family. I am sure your sister is really glad you are able to help her out with stuff like that.
Thanks. I feel so bad for my niece and nephew being displaced for 5 months and hardly seeing their parents. So I'm willing to do extra so they can see each other. Especially with baby O not doing so well.
Morning all! trtlcrzy you so deserve that mani pedi. If not today, tomorrow? Did baby O get his surgery last night? Today is TMNT lunch at the Y and I'm hoping to get a workout in before. Lu has been enjoying child watch which is AMAZING. When C was little I tried it and he cried so hard they came and got me. Every time. So I cancelled my membership. She's so different. She cries when I leave but only for a minute and she's playing happily when I get back Also, I woke up to snow. We have had no snow for weeks. I hadn't even checked the weather. Ugh.

OH man. I'm so excited for C with this TMNT lunch. Does he know? Will there be turtles in costume there?!

My sister, BIL, and nephew are coming up this weekend. We haven't seen them since September (long drive), so I'm excited! My nephew is 4 and wasn't too impressed with X last time we got together. I hope he'll think X is more fun now. Last night he asked my sister, "Can he use his hands CORRECTLY now? His mom doesn't have to get all of his toys for him? Can he talk like me? You won't even have to play with me, mommy!"
So just cleaning and errands today. Maybe X and I will go to a play place if there's time and his naps allow.

We were supposed to do pictures tomorrow morning so that's why I needed to get it done today. The photographer messaged me and we are pushing it out to next weekend so now I don't have to get it done today. But I think I'm going to go tomorrow and pray it still looks good next weekend. If not I'll just reprint with something light and call it good. O did have surgery last night but I haven't been updated as to how it went.

My nephew that I watched yesterday is 5. He and S were loving on each other all day long. So sweet!

TGIF! I've been shirking my work responsibilities this morning and bookmarking fun activities to do with the kids this summer. I really want to take them to area farms to learn more about where our food comes from and so I can snuggle baby animals, haha. I can't wait for consistent warm weather and spring/summer activities. The weather has been beautiful here lately with temps in the high 60s to low 70s, but they're calling for snow this weekend. WTF NC?
Yay Friday! Except DH will be gone at a seminar all weekend so I'm solo parenting and my weekend will be worse than my week. I'm already tired just thinking about it.

Damn it. I hope H is a great helper while she's home with you:
My child is a ferret. I find stuff stashed everywhere. Her favorite places are the seat of C's ride on car, and the microwave of the play kitchen. Tiny hoarder.

I bought DD2 a pair of baby bogs today since she is now walking outside and it will be another month or two before I can count on shoes. She was so proud to have a pair of boots like her sister, she ran all over the mall in them. So stinkin' cute!
She also drew all kinds of attention running around laughing in her poncho before heading to the car.
I'm not sure how I'm going to manage them all once DS is walking too. They may spend more time in the stroller than DD1 due to logistics. In the time it took me to place DS in his car seat yesterday DD2 had escaped my legs and was making a break for it across the parking lot! If anyone has strategies for juggling kiddos until they're old enough to reliably listen to instruction I'm all ears!

I've been looking for a pair of "rain boots" for DD because we have so much snow that it's going to be so long before our yard is not a swamp. Bogs are about the only thing I can find that come in a size 4. But I on the other hand I know the use of them will also be short lived, for the price. Ahh decisions, decisions.
As for juggling the kids, as far as the car seat situation, can you at least set everyone in the car and then do buckling? So that nobody is taking off in parking lots? My situation is a little different with 2 total and I think DS is older than your oldest, but I open the door where DD's car seat is and have him climb in (or will lift him) and have him walk through over to his car seat and he can climb up there. Then I get her buckled in and shut the door and move around to his side to buckle.

I just got home about half hour ago. S didn't tolerate this drive as well as she did the other day. Poor girl cried after we got back on the road until she fell asleep and then slept the rest of the way home.
Not much went on around here today. DD has been pretty clingy to me since we got home from our trip so once again I pretty much sat on the floor and just played and read books all day so that she would just have some good old mom time.
She took about a 3 hour nap so that was lovely, except DS counteracted it by not napping and not exactly being mellow or quiet during that time. Bleh.
Tomorrow my mom and I are leaving town at 8 to go shopping. I don't have a lot on my list, mainly just want to browse. Macy's is closing, my SIL told me it's pretty empty but I want to go see what they have left and how cheap it is.
eyelashedviper ^^^ yes, stroller, cart, or throwing everyone in the car right away so nobody can be loose. And maybe once they get older and can be trusted a bit more, buddy system have them hold hands? lol I don't know.
