Big girls have no school today so we're all home today. At 10, I need to be online to try to get Garth Brooks tickets. Then I'm taking the girls to visit their great-great aunt and we'll go have lunch with DH.

It's snowing today. It's barely sticking, but they closed all the area schools. I'm the jerk that still brought my babies to daycare. And I'm working from home.
@kc295905 hope they can give you something for his eczema and you don't get the man cold. DS1 and 2 always slept great after daycare because they were so nosy they had to see everything going on and take cat naps. Lol. I think they were also tired from their brain working hard to take it all in.
mrsp121308 oohh take me, take me! Lol. Every time a new shoe is announced, my friend and I text each other and say hmmm haven't been to "___________". We've been to 5 shows on this tour and are dying for more!!
requiressnacks they close schools at the mention of snow these days. Daycare is open, so you're no jerk. How would you get work done while hubby watches you take care of both? 😊

The weather is back to cold for the foreseeable future. And it's rainy today. DS2 has speech at 11:30. Not the best time, but the only one she had available this week (or a later time during nap).
Oh and Thirsty Thursday turned into Fatigued Friday. 🙄

mrswillie, you totally GET what I'm dealing with here. If they were here he'd probably tell me to quiet them down so he could sleep. LOL. I'm happy the daycare was open so I only have one child at home. Eyeroll.
I'm so mean. Sorry ladies, I swear I'm not this bitter in real life.
requiressnacks,@kc295905, +1 to wanting to throttle their husband. Mine "thinks" he's coming down with a cold. Last night it was all get me a beer, rub my feet, hug me so I feel warm. Dude, I've got better things to do.
TGIF is right! I even tried to get my toddler to understand how happy a day it is. I've got a crap load of (re)work to do (stupid mgr changed his mind). And I was already told these reports have to be done even if it means working Saturday. Welcome back to work!
It's freezing. I think snow is expected on Monday. Spring doesn't need to arrive early, just no more under 50* temps.
Welp it's eczema. Could be related to the stomach virus we all had, but it's more likely it's food allergy related 🙄🙄🙄 given the family history. I should be an MD. Doc told me not to change my diet right now but that N will get a blood allergy panel before starting solids. I'm not sure how I feel about this.
Wine me.
Sorry lady. Never knew eczema could indicate food allergy. FX he's not allergic to wine!

Awww.....that stinks. Hopefully they find something stupid like.... "allergic to peas" or something.
and +1 to littlelion....I hope it's not wine or gluten!

@kc295905 sorry the doc wasn't more helpful. Are you able to get a second opinion?
Abigail finally went down last night after her evening fuss-fest. She sleeps almost 9 hours now. I'm not looking forward to the 4 month regression in a few months, we're spoiled right now. I've got to pack for our trip then we're leaving this afternoon. Gonna be a long day.
Also, we tried so hard to get baby in bed before 8:30 last night. Still not asleep until after 9. Daylight savings time plus getting her up early so I can start work next week is going to SUCK. How on earth do you get them to bed earlier when they're not ready?
Winnifred I just realized the time change was this weekend. We were just starting to see her bedtime creep earlier. We're kind of hoping that the routine is becoming more engrained so she'll recognize bedtime is coming. Otherwise we'll be back to an 10/11pm bedtime.
@cahistoryteacher yeah I'm looking for a pediatrician that specializes in food allergies but they all seem to be generalists in this area. I might just make him an appointment with an allergist, or at least call and see what they recommend with his age. ahhh. Being a mom is hard.
I think if you can make an allergist apointment you should. Since you have a family history it's not like you're being paranoid; you're just trying to help your kid!

Is she on a regular napping schedule? Eventually our last "nap" of the day became bedtime. If she is sleeping anytime between 6 p.m and 9 p.m. you can make that your new bedtime.

I called in sick yesterday and today because I just wanted to hang out with Jane. She's sleeping in the front loader now. We have my husband's friends here and they are all our snowboarding. So I'm still in my pj's and we're watching movies and just chilling. I turn 35 tomorrow so this is my little birthday present.

Oh and the garage door is fixed. Got it done yesterday for $300. It took the guy two hours. I'm so glad it's done. My husband did say. "I swear I'll never give you shit for accidents" I told him if he does I'll just remind him of this.

Yeah she usually takes a quick nap later in the evening so maybe we'll give that a try tonight! Thanks!
@kc295905, I'm really sorry about DS's eczema/allergies. We think/thought my DD had a milk and/or soy protein allergy, so I've been on a dairy and soy free diet for almost two months (nevermind that DH accidentally bought margarine with dairy AND soy in it that we used for a batch of lactation cookies and DD seemed fine...) and it's a pain. Now that we've got the kiddo's reflux under control I'm really doubting that she actually has this allergy, but the pedi said to keep to the diet for now just to avoid messing with her system too much. I sorta can't wait until she starts solids and we can try her out on yogurt or something to prove she's okay and I can go back to eating my favorite cheesy foods.
Y'all, I have survived my first week back at work! Barely! We had kind of a rough sleep transition, in that DD started crashing hard at 6:30 pm-ish and instead of her usual late dinner at 10 (after which she used to sleep until 5am) she would stay out until 2am. We tried to waking her up to eat earlier, and that just resulted in a really cranky, tired baby who would take a bottle only - absolutely would refuse to nurse - and then scream and fight going back to sleep for an hour or so. It was actually easier just to get up with her at 2, because at least then she was happy and cute and cooperative. Babies are so fun.
We're hanging out in the hotel room waiting on my husband to finish work. She has been an angel so far and slept really great last night. She moves around in the PNP like crazy. When I wake up, her head is at the opposite end from when I put her down.
Traveling means nursing away from home, which I still have some anxiety about. Last night we found an empty front room in a bar where I could nurse her, but we started a trend and a bunch of people followed us. 😂 I wasn't as brave today because I was alone, so I fed her in the handicap stall of a very nice hotel bathroom. At least it was clean.
Tonight we're going to a fancy-ish dinner, so it's the ideal time for her to freak out. 😐
