I'm not reading to D regularly yet. DS never liked books until he was like 18 months. We read to him anyway but he just didn't really care. Now he's obsessed, and we have a lot of great ones.
+1 to Sandra Boynton. Idk why but her books are crack to babies and toddlers, and they're not terribly annoying to read like some others. We like Pajama Time and The Going to Bed Book best.
+1 to Eric Carle, especially Brown Bear. DS also likes The Grumpy Ladybug.
Classics are classic for a reason. Goodnight Moon and The Night You Were Born are two we read when he was really little.
Idk if you have access to Barefoot Books because they publish locally here, but their books are fabulous. The first time I ever saw DS really mesmerized by books was in their shop when he was 7 or 8 months old. He still loves I Dreamt I Was a Dinosaur, My Granny Went to Market, and One Moose Twenty Mice.

+1 to Eric Carle. Brown bear Brown bear and the Hungry caterpillar are favorites around here. Also books by Sandra Boynton are big hits as well (snuggle puppy, barnyard dance, etc).

hangrydashook What Alexa station is it? I usually just ask her to play children's music and I think she always ends up playing the "Little Kids Music" station.

Just Raffi, or I ask her to play specific individual songs (e.g., Baby Beluga).
goldenlove3 that is exactly what I say to Alexa. And then O will hear a song he knows or likes and asks for it over and over and over (and over) again. We are in a We Are the Dinosaurs phase right now.
This thread is amazing!!! I have nothing to add besides that.
Oh and I will definitely be buying Wish sophiegrace
Also, still cry reading On The Night You Were Born and Wherever You Are My Love Will Find Hou - does that ever get easier? I mean it's ok now when they're 4 months.. But if I'm still reading these at a year old or more, they're gonna start to think mom is weird.
Plus a million to so many of the ones already listed. A few I didn't see/ missed as I skimmed through that we love here:
Peek a Who Thats not my ____ (dog, cat, dragon, tractor etc) books Good night good night construction site. Goodnight Washington DC, Planes, Beach, Virginia (Texas is quite disappointing) Madeline Ten tiny tadpoles Tent tiny toes 100 first words books Dear zoo
Loving all these books, just added them to L's amazon wishlist! L is really liking Monster at the end of this book with the lovable Grover! He likes when I read it and the read to me book on our Nook app (DH isn't a confident reader) I love the visuals of the Bats series by Brian Lies. Bats at the Library, Bats at the Beach! I've been reading How to Train a Dragon but for me just out loud for L too! He seems to love to listen to me read but I read for BN story times and my MIL thinks I should tryout to do audiobooks (humble brag) !
I refuse to read I Love You Forever. Once was enough.
Do you know the story behind it? I used to hate it, found it creepy, but once I found out the story behind it, I'm saddened that I didn't love it! Still not my favorite though!

My only issue with it is that it makes me cry like a baby lol
