I woke up at 6:40 this morning for no reason. I was tired but just couldn't sleep anymore, I'm sure a nap will be happening later.
We are getting our guest room and bathroom painted this week so today will be spent moving everything out of those 2 rooms into the nursery since it's empty at the moment. We may put together the crib today. We have lots of little things that need to be done that are baby related and non.
I'm also excited about the time change. I have already deemed today to be a lazy day. Hoping DD cooperates. H is finally painting the nursery tomorrow! Hooray!

DS and I are going to go be in a little St. Patrick's Day parade, after which DS will go over to my parents' house to play while I have a mommy date for pedicures. I did a lot of yard work yesterday, so I'm happy to have some fun/relaxing time.
We took this month off from Saturday morning gymnastics, so we're at the playground. We have nothing planned this weekend, which is so nice. DH's sister and her family arrive on Wednesday for a week, and DH has to go to New York for work this week, so we need this time to lay low this weekend. It got warmer here so we'll probably go swimming at some point. I also plan to go to Buy Buy Baby and pick up a rock n play.
Yesterday I got back from a work trip at noon and was so excited to get some stuff done while the kids were still at preschool. But then I ate lunch and was SO tired that I didn't get much done. I am now worried about my third tri energy level

My ILs told DH they wanted to buy the dresser for baby's nursery which is very nice of them and there was a whole discussion about getting it sent to the store not to our house so they don't have to pay the ridiculous delivery surcharge. Anyway, MIL is the worst with logic and technology. Today the changing table topper for the dresser shows up at our house from his parents and the dresser is still on the registry. In the picture the topper is on the dresser because it shows how it fits. I honestly think his mom bought the topper instead of the dresser by mistake. Did she not realize the topper is like $40 and the dresser is $400?! I'll leave that up to DH to handle with her.

I'm waiting for a pedicure now. It's the beginning of sandal season here! Later we have to clean and declutter the house. A handyman is coming on Monday to do some electrical work and my parents are flying in next weekend, and the house is a disaster.
pinecone21 it is definitely not sandal season here...
But next week should be warmer and hopefully the snow will all melt! I am so ready for spring, it feels like we've had a long winter. Sickness hit our house again, with DS puking yesterday. We've had a very lazy weekend with a lot of tv watching so far. I don't feel like cooking today, so I think we're going to get pizza. Yum!

I just had my tour of L&D, since there is only a 10% chance that I will deliver here I wasn't that invested. Since I'm more high risk it's more likely I'll deliver in Toronto, which I would prefer anyways. Other than that I'm trying to stay warm and hanging out with my parents for a couple of days.

It's in the 20s (F) here. Winter at the end of the season, apparently.
I made cupcakes for our friends' annual St Patricks Day party. Green velvet with Baileys cream cheese frosting. About to head there solo as H is battling a man cold. He is miserable and in would stay home if it were me. Thankfully the complaining has stopped. Last night I didn't want to talk to him.
Everyone keeps asking if we've bought everything for the baby. Um, no? We're having a shower and people are coming so want to see what they get us first. We're fully prepared to buy everything we need ourselves, but isn't it normal to wait for the shower?

marshian, Yes it's normal to not buy things yourself until after your shower except for maybe furniture. I feel like when it comes to pregnancy/babies people just run their mouth and don't even think about what they're saying.

We waited for most things. I didn't register for a crib or car seat because I wanted specific ones and didn't want people to feel there was one better than what I wanted. We didn't want a dresser before we moved (one more thing to try and pack/haul) so we didn't register for that, and I knew DHs parents wanted to buy it for us. Other than those few things, we/I waited until after our shower before going out and buying things.
sabrinaml I've never heard of someone getting someone a car seat or crib that was not the one you picked out for your registry! Those would definitely go back
We are headed out to dinner and then to see John Caparulo at our favorite theater. We helped some friends move earlier, well H did, I watched and took nails out of the walls. No baby stuff this weekend but we are working on packing and such and home inspection on Monday!

I finally got some good cleaning and organizing done. There's still a lot that needs to be done, but it looks much better. I had to take a lot of breaks though haha I can't remember things being this difficult when I was pregnant with DD. Pretty sure I'm not going to be able to get off the floor without assistance by the end of this journey. And he finished the evening by giving me lightning crotch. A friend of mine is dropping her son off tomorrow for a playdate while they paint. DD keeps telling me she doesn't want him to come over and I'm not sure why. She has always played nicely with him in the past. I hope it doesn't end up too rocky with her tomorrow.
I went to my niece's sweet 16 today in Brooklyn. Unfortunately due to a snowstorm, we couldn't make it to ILs house 2.5 hours away last night so they could watch DD and our dog so DH had to stay home with them. The party was a lot of fun though and the food was freakin awesome. I ate so many passed appetizers. Total pregnant lady pig out
I haven't been on much this week. We've all been battling colds and my phone broke. Things are looking up now, finally feeling better and I have a new phone!
My bff had her baby today. Seeing pics of that squish gave me all the feels. We both will have 2 daughters and they are very close in ages.
Our good friends have a daughter 3 months older than our DD. And they're due with their second in a couple of weeks (they don't know what they're having). I am sooo incredibly excited that both of our kids will be so close in age!

We have close friends who have a son that is roughly 2.5 months younger than C. We found out at Christmas they are expecting #2 roughly 5 days after I'm due. Their second will be another boy, but hopefully until they hit the cootie phase our girl and their boy will play nicely like their big brothers.

I need a new bra and I am getting super frustrated looking for one. I wore an A cup before pregnancy and found a great Target brand one in a B cup that fits perfectly. I bought it but I could only find it in black and I need at least 1 light colored bra. I hate bra shopping! *end rant*
teachermomtobe - I also hate bra shopping. I gave in years ago and went to Nordstrom and had them fit me. Now I'm loyal to the Freya brand (also own one other brand in workout bras). I'm dreading having to search for nursing bras.

teachermomtobe I feel your pain, I've grown out of my bras twice this pregnancy.
I started in D and moved to E, my boobs are starting to feel pretty squished again. With DS, I ended the pregnancy in an E. I'm not looking forward to going out bra shopping again.
We went to do our 3/4D ultrasound session this weekend. I cried like a baby. She was just moving around so much. She was yawning and opening her eyes. I'm sooooo in love!
