This is a weekly check-in for PAIF members in their second trimester. Feel free to join at 14 weeks and we will bid you an excited farewell on your way to 3rd tri after 27 weeks.
If there are any newcomers that would like to be added to the list, post below (and tag me and muscari) and include: -EDD and team if you know/team green if you aren't finding out? -How far along you are? -Upcoming appointments? -Anything you’d like to share?
I'm 26w3d and can't believe I'm so close to 3rd tri! I did my glucose test on Friday and am just waiting to hear the results. I'm feeling good overall and love feeling baby girl moving!
QOTW: My shower is April 8 so my registry is all created and people have been buying stuff off of it. Most of the big important stuff has already been purchased, just waiting to receive it.
I'm 16w3d right now. We finally announced to everyone and everyone has seemed super excited, which is sweet. It also made me even more nervous though! I'm meeting with MFM Tuesday for another consult because my BPs have been a little elevated. I'm anxious to see what he will recommend. I'm also getting an ultrasound and those always make me nervous. But then I go back to my OB Wednesday to f/u on whatever MFM decides. I've been checking my BP at home pretty frequently and it's kind of all over the place but mostly in the high normal range, so I'll be interested to see what the professional has to say.
QOTW: I haven't even started to really look at stuff for the registry yet. I think I'll wait until at least after the A/S.
We have our anatomy scan on Wednesday and will find out the sex. MH insisted we wait and not find out at the NT scan. I am curious to see if I am right about it being a boy.
Q: this is our second so no registry but if anyone has questions about stuff just ask away!

I'm 16w3d today and have an MFM/OB appointment this week. The MFM appointment is a follow-up on a bunch of blood work she ordered a couple weeks ago and because she just wants to see me every two weeks for right now. My lab results are available on my lab portal and it looks everything is normal except for my Free Protein S which came back low. From doctor google, it looks like low is normal in pregnancy so I have a feeling she will consider this "normal" also.
QOTW - we finished our registry on Amazon but haven't told anyone about it. I'm not really expecting to get anything from it. We moved across country a couple years ago so a baby shower probably will not happen. My guess is my MIL will start buying tons of clothes as soon as she knows what we are having.
So last week we found out we are team pink! I am 22 plus 4 today so officially in "countdown mode"
Upcoming this week we are taking a Winter vacation for a wedding in the Canadian Rockies. I have not thought about anything to do yet! I did buy a bathing suit for the hotel pools though.
QOTW:
We went in and finished our registry this weekend since we finally learned the sex. We did Buy Buy Baby because it is so big. Top of the wishlist other than people actually using the registry is the bedding we reg'd for. Our nursery is going to be soooo cute. I can't wait to decorate it.
Hi! I'm 15w2d today. We announced last week, which was exciting but also has renewed all my fears. My friend who is throwing my shower picked a date and out a deposit down on a place, too. She wanted me to email some if my friends who are far flung just in case anyone wants to trek out, but I had a little panic about sending it (too many future plans at once) and decided I'm not going to until after our a/s (the 29th). But we were with a ton of people this weekend and it was nice to be "out" and I met a few twin moms who gave me some tips, which was fun. QOTW: I started an Amazon registry last week, too, (adding to my stress a bit) but I kept getting recs for things and needed a place to store the ideas. I think the thing I'm most excited about is a glider, which I haven't decided on, yet. I'm sure that's something my mom will get me so it's not really a registry item, but I know I'm going to live in the thing, so I'm going to splurge a bit to make sure it's really comfy!
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!
therealbug, glad to hear all your results look normal. GL at your appointment this week!
juliayadda, congrats and welcome to team pink! Have a great trip
wannabmama, I totally understand the post-announcement anxiety but I'm glad you were able to get some good twin mom advice this weekend!
@ketchup, I have extreme anxiety every time I get an ultrasound (which has been a lot this pregnancy), so I hear you! I hope the time to your a/s passes quickly! Sometimes the anticipation is the worst part!

Hey! How low did your protein S come back at? My MFM told me it shouldn't be lower than 30 during pregnancy; mine was less than 10 and I've been on lovenox the entire time. The cause of K's death was a blood clot in her cord, which was caused by my undiagnosed protein s deficiency. Just wanted to chime in!
I'm 20w4d. This weekend we were in nesting mode for sure. We finished installing the elfa closet system, put together the free crib we got from a friend over a year ago, finally picked a paint color, and mostly completed our registries at BabiesRUs and Target. My mom bought us a changing table and dresser, that was a really sweet surprise.
I LOVE feeling baby girl move all the time. I can't wait for J to feel her from the outside, she's a little gymnast in there. My uterus is definitely stretching, I had some cramping last night and this morning, but I drank a bunch of water and that seemed to help.
QOTW: I have to say, even though it's quite overwhelming, it was really fun to register at BabiesRUs. At Target they just hand you a scanner and you're on your merry way. But everyone at our BabiesRUs was so nice and helpful. We have nothing baby so I'm excited to get anything people are generous enough to purchase.

wannabmama, I feel you on the anxiety. Each time we told a new level of people I had huge anxiety (family, coworkers, my students). It would subside after a few days though. Also huge anxiety leading up to the AS. Hang in there lady, it usually gets better.

I'm 16+5 today. I feel like I'm starting to get a small bump. I'm also having more food aversions. I made one of my favorite meals tonight, Chicken lettuce wraps with rice and eggrolls, and I couldn't eat more then a few bites without gagging. I'm so sad because that's one of my quick and favorite meals.
Otherwise, I'm having some cramps/pain in my legs and in my uterus today. I'm hoping they are just growing pains.
As for a registry, we've done nothing. I feel very unprepared. I told DH we need to go and at least look at a crib, stroller, and car seat in a week or two if nothing else. I figure if we have those we'll be good. My mom was talking about a shower and I can't think that far ahead right now. I have been asking friends and family for suggestions and their favorite things for baby to have and what is a waste of money so I have a list started on what to register for. We are planning to go to Target and Babies R Us. I feel like we should do either Kohl's or Amazon too so people in our town can have options since there are no Targets or Babies R Us near us (they are in my hometown where I'll have my major shower)
Hey all. I'm 19+4, almost halfway there. We have our anatomy scan Friday!!
Only complaint is RLP. I'm also a bit worried I'm not showing enough. To me, I look completely different and pregnant but I get mixed responses from people.
We chose a daycare and the manager was surprised I was pregnant, said she couldn't tell. Some people at work say I'm getting bigger everyday and showing more. I'm looking at pics of others at 20 weeks and think I still look like I've just gained weight.
Qotw: nothing yet, want to wait until after the A/s

yoshijo28, I also struggle with not looking pregnant enough. I'd say it became obvious to others around week 24. Even now at 26w when I wear my regular sweatshirt you can't really tell. It definitely doesn't help PAIF brain. I even asked my OB about it at my 23w appt and she said I did look small but then measured me and said I was right on track. Don't worry, bumps come in all shapes and sizes. Once they start measuring you (if they haven't already) ask your OB about how you're measuring.

yoshijo28, I barely look pregnant either. I usually take a bump photo at night, so it's more pronounced. Lol mostly a food baby 😆. No one at worked believed how far along I am. But I'm not stressing it. Everyone carries differently. As long as your dr isn't concerned, don't worry.
AFM
I'm 20 weeks and some change. I feel him move around daily and it's super cool. I swore I could feel him kick from the outside, but MH couldn't feel it. Hopefully soon!
QOTW: I've saved some things I like here and there. But my baby shower invites are going out later this month, So I'm going to go to buy buy baby this week sometime and get my registry set up.

I had grand plans to respond to everyone but I'm mobile and not sure when I'll get a chance to log on from a computer so LTs will have to do this week.
Also, since we're talking about registries, I want to make sure everyone knows about Lucies List. It helped me a TON when trying to figure out what to register for.
AFM, I'm 16+2 and other than always being tired, feel pretty good. I told my bosses last week and that went really well. So happy to have that done. Now I just need to visit HR to find out about maternity leave. I'm mentally preparing myself for 8 but hoping for 12.
I've started to feel little twitches here and there that seem to be the baby kicking. Looking forward to feeling more in the upcoming weeks. I have a routine appointment next Thursday and then have my a/S on April 6th. They'll do the glucose test that day as well.
QOTW: since this is #2, I'll probably just do a private registery for the completion discount. Haven't even thought about starting anything though.
Me: 34 | DH: 33 Married: 2010 | TTC since Jan 2012 Met RE: March 2014 | Official DX: unexplained 04/2014-12/2014: 5 IUIs, all BFN IVF #1 March 2015 25R/20M/17F: Freeze-all, 12 frosties! FET #1 - May 2015: BFP! Beta #1 361, Beta #2 726 Baby boy, C, born 1/19/2016
yoshijo28, I worry about the not showing too. Yesterday at work a coworker couldn't believe I'm still in my regular clothes at almost 17 weeks. The OB tried to measure me last week when i went but said I was still too small but that it was fine.
therealbug, awww that makes me sad you may not have a shower! Any chance you could return home to have one? Thats what I did for my previous pregnancy and my sister put a cute little note on the invite like "gifts are not expected. However if you would like to give please remember that Mommy & Baby have to fly all the way home to HI from NY so please consider having an item from the registery sent directly to their home"...or something like that! That is what most folks did as well as lots of gift cards. I ended up shipping one box home of little miscellaneous items I received. Anyway, just a thought if someone back home wants to throw you a shower. You deserve one!
@ketchup & mrsrodgersaz oooh I'm jelly you are feeling movement! I'm hoping for some soon! Both babies were rockin' n rollin' alllll over the place today during my U/S but I haven't felt anything yet.
AFM, I'm 15wks 6dys and saw the MFM today. Both babies are looking great and measuring right on track. We looked at the hearts and brains and so far everything looks really good. The SCH is still there and the same size, unfortunately. But MFM said since I'm not having any more bleeding, and it is not getting bigger, things are going well. He wants to see me again in 2wks to check it, and I see my OB between now and then, too.
Still pretty sick and not having much of an appetite. Hoping that changes soon!
