So much exciting stuff happening around here. So happy for all of you new POMs!
I had a hellacious morning but won't bore you with the details. Need to run to the store quick on my lunch because out cupboards are barren. Really hoping they aren't out of bread and milk just because we're expecting snow for once this winter.
@feegan, thanks for asking. It's definitely a transition. The first night was rough, but the last two seem to be a bit better. They have their doctor appt tomorrow morning, I'm curious if they gained any weight. Easton doesn't seem to eat as much as when he was in the hospital and Charlotte is close to the amount. Should I be worried about his eating?
Got home from our vaca yesterday afternoon: A was a little confused but happy to see us. W was PISSED. Wanted nothing to do with mama! She then made up for it by waking up at 2am and wrapping her arms and legs around me so I could not physically put her in her crib, so she slept on me from 3-5am. Poor A has a chest cold and woke us all up at 5am, but they both went back to bed until 7. I'm exhausted, but happy for all the snuggles on this snowy day!
So everyone's kids are just losing their minds today then? We've had a VERY off morning. Ugh.
In other news, Friday I attempt the impossible: I'm flying alone, cross country with twin toddlers. No strollers. No car seats. (I have all of that waiting for me at our destination so I didn't want to have to lug it all) I think I have it all as planned out as I can, just praying they cooperate and get over the last of this sickness from hell they've had. Last night I had a dream I lost L in the airport. Here's hoping that's not an sign of things to come.
pbandj714, MH went to the grocery store today and he said it was BANANAS. Everyone is preparing for the apocalypse.....at least in Connecticut.
I bet! Looks like the latest models for us are only 1-3 inches, but I know you guys are expecting way more! I'm now putting it off until after bedtime in typical fashion.

It never even dawned on me to run errands after bedtime. That's when I do my TV watching and wine drinking.

It was good to get away from the kids for a few days... but W was sick the whole time and we kept missing my sisters calls, which made it a little stressful. IDK, MH is terrible at relaxing, I really should have taken all the spa money and spent it on myself while he went shoe shopping. My massage was amazing and my pedicure was long overdue, and I've been more productive today than I have in months, so getting me out of my funk was accomplished!

Sounds like you accomplished your mission! A massage and pedicure sound amazing.

It seems my sister dealt with the worst of it (probably the highlight of vacation- knowing I'd be up all night if I was home!). Hoping for a break from all these colds!

My club's sale is at the end of April, I had to wait until after this trip to start tagging... I'm already stressed about it!
Mine's mid-April and it's all hung and ready, but still need to tag. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth all the work, but I like getting "new" stuff without paying anything since I almost always spend as much as I make. Ha!
Then it's pretty much worth it. Someone in my group made a good point. If you don't have time to do it for this sale, the next sale isn't too far away (we have 2 a year)

Yeah except ours is spring and I have all this fall/winter clothing that I have to hang onto until September
I contemplate if the biannual sale is worth it or if I should just take everything to a consignment shop.
There is a consignment sale near me that will tag it all for you, and you still get like 50% back. I've been debating throwing all my fall & winter stuff into that one
Ours is pretty easy and I get so much more than a consignment shop that does the trading and pricing for you ( 80%+ versus 40%) and they always work with great charities for donations (a foster closet and books to united way), so deciding to donate things seems like a great choice if I don't want to store things until the next sale. And what money I don't get from my things selling go to the club to support our activities and the NICU. I'm also involved in another sale that does more than just kids and maternity, but I'm not going to put much effort into getting things ready for it. .

The store by me is 50% plus a $2/month service fee, they allow 30 clothing items per month, andcthry do the pricing. The biannual sale is 60% or 65%, only allows seasonal items, and I do pricing and pay for hangers and safety pins for the tags. Another option is a resale shop where I grt paid up front, but probably get less than of I waited for items to sell.
Its been crazy here too! The babies are super clingy. Mh has a cold and is staying away from the babies so they dont get sick. Baby girl has learned to crawl and all she wants to fo is sry to stand. I can barely leave her alone to go to the bathroom. Baby boy is on the way too. Juat trying to stay sane!
@feegan, good luck lady. I am sure you will not loose one. Especially after the dream. Have they flown before. Mine are 7 months and we are flying 8 hours in 2 weeeks. Any tips will be welcome!

Hi ladies! Checking in with an update. We were able to bring Evie home yesterday. She came home at 4lb 6oz. She's doing pretty well. Harper is still at the hospital. She is down to 4lb 8oz and is still spitting up almost all of what she eats. They are running abdominal X-rays on her today to see if something is going on. The feeding schedule is killing us. We are breastfeeding Evie as well as supplementing with formula in a cup. She is hard to keep awake for a feeding so just one session takes about an hour and a half. I am also pumping breastmilk to take to Harper. So I feel like all I do is feed and my boobs HURT. We are adjusting to life with one preemie baby but my heart is broken that it looks like Harper won't be coming home anytime soon. I'm guessing they'll put a feeding tube in at some point today because of the spit up.
Big hugs mustloveerica! Evan had a feeding tube for a while because of puking. And he stayed in the nicu 2 days longer than Nora. It was awful to leave him there. Fx everything improves with Harper!
